This same phones45 have refused to refund my money for a month. It is a scam.

Good afternoon dear readers,
I usually would not do this but this is like my last resort after trying several options to resolve this issue. Kindly pardon my long story and typos.

On the 10th of June 2020, while watching 10pm news on channels television, i saw an advert of phones45 ecommerce and was glad because i needed a phone at that time and couldn't leave work to purchase one. Hence, my excitement when i saw this advert. Considering the reputation of the TV channel that advertised it, i didn't think it'd be a scam of any type. So, on the 11th of June 2020, i visited the phones45 website and ordered a Samsung a20 and made payment of 56,000 naira using my card details as there was no option for Payment on delivery. I immediately got a response which is pasted below:

five days later, i realized i hadn't gotten a call from the delivery person or the company with regards to my order so i called the only customer care number: 08080689342 and i lady picked the call and told me to expect the delivery within the next 2 days. After 2 days, i called again and a man picked the call this time and told me to drop my details he'd get back to me before evening. I obliged and waited the whole evening but no call came so i called the next day. Some other person picked the call and wanted to also get back to me but i refused i insisted i'd be on the line while he checks and get back to me immediately. This person then told me that the samsung a20 i ordered and paid for is no longer available, he mentioned that the samsung a20s was available at a higher amount than what i paid for. I asked for options available for me at this point, he said i can make a transfer to their company account with name: ekoshopping (parent to phones45 ecommerce) or request for a refund by mail. I accepted the option for a refund and immediately sent a mail for a refund on the 20th of June 2020(mail will be pasted below).

Since the 20th of June 2020, that i was told i'd get the refund within 3 business days, i still haven't gotten it. I call their customer care number and no one seem to have a tangible reason as to why i haven't gotten the refund. I am putting this out so unsuspecting and prospective customers to weary of phones45 ecommerce.

i applied for an expedited date on the 11th of April and got a response on the 12th scheduling me for April 24th. The content of the report from my doctor in Nigeria stated the peculiarity with my pregnancy and a transfer to a hospital in Houston that can handle such, i also attached a an acceptance letter from the hospital in Houston - stating they are capable. Being preggy alone isn't enough reason.

Greetings house. Today makes it a month my visa application was placed on administrative processing. I've been tracking the status online and it finally changed this morning to "approved." I am yet to get a mail from them to come pick up my passport, i hope it doesn't come late like my friend's own that came after 2 months of interview.

They are really becoming strict with this pregnancy visa. Several people on this platform have gotten expedited appointments based on pregnancy in the past.
Someone's mum even got an appointment cos she needed to travel with her pregnant daughter.
Keep checking both locations night and day, an earlier date would pop up.

I'm also looking for a date for my hubby. Would let you know if I get one.

It's not just based on pregnancy, there has to be a strong issue with the pregnancy for it to be granted. Like a high risk pregnancy that requires better health care attention in US.

Administrative purpose means they want to look more into your case.

Two things can happen; 1) You will get the visa stamped on your passport and docs returned when you pick up at DHL. 2) Passport will be returned without the visa stamped inside, God forbid.

Hello. I was in your shoes in 2016. I travelled with my toddler girl ( few months shy of 3). I later realised it was not such a great decision as she stressed the life out of me especially when my baby was born! It was really tough. And I stayed with family over there.
Few things you need to consider
Where will she stay when you go in to have your baby and more importantly with whom?
How will you cope with a newborn and a toddler, trust me it's not easy.
If you can have your mum or trusted relative take care of her ( esp since your hubby won't be travelling with you). I think she'll be fine.
I'm going for a 3rd missionary journey later in the year.
I will not be traveling with my kids, 4 and 2 years.

They will be fine.

@ugoguchy Congrats dear. Pls I saw your post and tried applying for an emergency appointment. I was then mailed to attach more documents likecproof of payment, bank statement, budget sheet and letter from office. It's been 5 days now and haven't gotten any reply. The only reply was that my case is still under review. Was this how yours went?

I also applied for emergency appointment with the acceptance letter from the hospital/doctor in US and my hospital in Nigeria and got a date within 24hours.

Good advice, but Dropbox ke? Attempting to secure a visa for your toddler after getting yours isn't entirely a bad idea @dear OP, at least your husband is still here as a tie. But then, you have deliberately included her as your tie during your interview (pretty sound conversation you had there with the VO, I must commend, well plugged leakages), can't you however let sleeping dog just lie? Please do, see how you just can....

God please give me the strength to leave her behind.

Congratulationsssss.I honestly think u should just leave her for now. It must b a difficult decision for you but it's for the benefit of all. U won't be gone for too long. When u come back then you can apply for her via Dropbox box.

Me: her birth and survival was a miracle and its not an experience I'd wish to go through again, hence I'm soughting for better health care in the US for my unborn baby.

She then types for a long time and brings out a white paper, wrote my name in the space provided at the top and went to the bottom of the paper to circle administrative processing, she then turns to me to explain what she just did and said I'd be sent a mail within 3 working days informing me to come pick up the documents and passport. and then handed over the white paper to me.

It was quite a long interview.

My interview was scheduled for 9am today. I was given a white paper after much question and answer. And the VO said I'd receive a mail in the next 3 days informing me to come pick up my documents and passport which she's withholding for administrative purpose.
Does this mean I've gotten the visa?

As with anything in life, it is always best to try and try again. Many people have been approved on second, third, even forth interview. Had they not tried, they had not gotten approved. Good luck!

to try and try again, requires money oh. Visa fee and appointment date fee over again. Mehn that country is making money in naija oh

I really think the problem is from your account statement in my opinion. Did you show your payslips at any point during Ur interview? Cos the closing balance is quite high if it's a salary account and your husband's salary is just above 400k.
Reapply with your daughter. Wish you all d best

15k overall budget for a family of 3+ might be small IMO.
Is there a 'sudden' inflow of money into your accounts? Is your salary commensurate with your account balance?

Reapply alone and use your husband and kids as additional ties.

No sudden inflow of money. It's a salary account.

I'd reapply for myself and daughter as I can't leave her behind. Thanks so much.

No idea what went wrong here. Work history seems solid and you have multiples of $15k in your account.

I may be wrong but could it be that Oakbend has been noted as a very popular hospital by the VOs? And could there be denials because of that. Not sure...just thinking out loud. Maybe it's time to diversify!!!

she took like 15 minutes calculating the figures and finally handed us the blue paper saying we were not qualified
DH statement of account had 12M, while mine had 4M

We plan to reapply but don't even know what is wrong so it can be corrected.

Doctors appointment is a document showing that you have a booked appointment with the Dr at such & such a date at such & such a time. It could form part of your Dr's correspondence,but not limited to it.
Dr's correspondence on the other hand is the email trail that has gone back and forth between you and your US Dr. It is suppose to include an acceptance by the Dr,his price etc

I have Doctors acceptance letter and correspondence but i don't have an appointment letter. Should i request for that? my interview is 13th of March.
