And to your question OP, it depends on your content. If you are targeting only Nigerians, "naija" is OK and forget what the guy above me said about Google not understanding the word. It's not true.

But using "Nigerian" is necessary if your content is not meant for Nigerian audience alone because they might not understand the slang.

Not that it even matter anyways, but using a term or language that is not familiar with your audience as your domain may/will cause you to loose type-in traffic. There's no way they would come back if they don't remember the domain

To help ur domain search just use leandomainsearch.com . There U will see how hot the word 'Nigeria' is on search engines and how hot 'Naija' is also on search. U will see other hot words you can add to ur domain that are available and trending.

From the rule above, the correct one is "YOUR MATE IS" (MATE is a singular noun while IS is a singular verb).
