Mufu, Jaja of Opobo was never a slave to any Nigerian tribe, For u to claim him as ur slave means u are a grossly misinformed dullard, dont even vomit that fallacy again..

""Reno Omokri provided castings from bini and itsekiris showing ibos as their slaves""

I can see that u are a very backward mentally,
For starters are u Bini? How can a useless Itsekrir man called reno scream that Itsekiri had IGBO slaves and we blasted him for evidence, He got scared and started uploading bini bronzes grin grin......The bronze video he uploaded shows IGBOs once fought battles with bini people as best (which is a recorded fact, goan read about Idu wars, u will quickly discover that IGBOs were an integral part of the bini kingdom). Idu wars was a war between IGBO settlers in bini kingdom and a Bini king and the war caused many IGBOs from idu to start returning home, most of them settled in Anioma and Asaba and the remnants returned to onitsha and other parts of IGBO land. (Recheck those bronze images, they look like warriors).

The returning Man named Eze chima came back n formed onitsha with his wife who was a Bini woman.

""why we have you in castings as slaves"c

Dont be silly, the video was castings of a wounded person, probably a soldier who fought in those battles.

'Did you know itsekiris chief dore numa was the only man from Niger delta to sign for everyone in south leading to the 1914 almagamation?"

Be quiet, he was a useless slaves to the whites and he never signed amalgamation for the IGBOs because the IGBOs never accepted the amalgamation and therefore refused to come to the event. Goan read up, Obong of calabar was among the people who signed the almagamation, so dont blah that an unknown and inconsequential Itsekiri man signed anything on behalf of IGBOs.

Next time dont ever upload wikipedia as a proof to anything, Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia where anyone can log in and edit articles.
I never said jaja of opobo was a slave, I was saying you must of read tales of nana of itsekiri who fought wars. I just went ahead to list jaja of opobo as another individual you must know in history books too because it seems you are not informed about other tribes, it's obvious.

However, I have to stop arguing with you because you're overly emotional in this issue. I really pray and hope you ibos get biafra, but know that no inch of niger delta region will ever be a part of that biafra. No inch, not again! Ibos need to be put on a tight leech, and that's why we the binis and itsekiris used them as slaves, even fulani are still using them today as slaves. Goodluck and bye slave

""strength of the itsekiris and bini are not in their numbers so dont be deceived""

Itsekriri population both in the 19th century and today represents 1% of the IGBO population, And every IGBO community is over 3 times the Itsekiri so there's no way they would have ventures into IGBO land to raid villages to take slaves, it is impossible. The IGBOs actually fought the europeans(with their guns) for 32 years before we fell, that's the longest time it took the British to conquer anyone anywhere in Africa. If Itsekiri ever ventured into IGBO land, they wouldn't be in existence today. Pls Itsekiri had no strength, They never defeated anyone in war and there was never a record anywhere that Itsekiri fought with IGBOs, show get size abeg.

""first educated king and individual in sub saharan Africa""

Can u show any proof to this?

If you ever went to school, you must have been taught about jaja of opobo and nanna of itsekiri. We had most ibos as slaves back then because of our direct relationship with the Portuguese and then British. Most African history are generally undocumented so it may not be obvious today. Reno Omokri provided castings from bini and itsekiris showing ibos as their slaves, the onus is now on you and others to show a counter Proof and perhaps, explain why we have you in castings as slaves.

You are one of those who think only ibo, yoruba and hausa are the only tribes in Nigeria. This tone is all over your scribblings, but today you will learn new things.

Read the first paragraph and explain to yourself how itsekiri was able to dominate the 15th century with Antonio Dom Domingo ... the king of warri, first educated in sub saharan Africa. There are lots of books on it bro

"That article also tells you the urhobo, isoko, okpe numbers about 200k"

Which article did u pick this from? From my screenshots??

'Ijaws have no documented history even as far back as 1900, do u think they dont exist then?

Ijaw had history from 1900s.

'the urhobo, isoko, okpe numbers about 200k... today those people are over 10million"

10 million people? Where exactly are they grin grin, Urhobo and Isoko are mainly found in delta state and delta state population is 4 million max. The remainder of them are found in smaller population in Edo and Bayelsa (they are minorities there)....so pls tell me where those 10 million urhobo, isoko ekpe are.

And IGBO population was 3.9 million in the early 1900s...And not 500k

Look at the last line of the image below(though I made a mistake saying 200k, they're actually 300k... read that article a long while)

Ijaws have no documented history about their existence. It's a known fact. Can you bring articles from renowned authors in the 19th century about them? Dont bring hungry bloggers doctored posts here bro.

How many ijaws vs urhobo/isoko/okpe have you met? I can tell you for a fact that you have met more urhobo/isoko/okpe. If wikipedia is saying ijaws are 15million, the urhobo/isoko/okpe will not be far from 10million bro. How many people are in bayelsa? It's like you have not been there

Where did you get the info that ibos are 3.9m in 1920? Even more than yorubas? Again, cite articles from renowned authors and not hungry bloggers! Yorubas are more than ibos by some margin!

Itsekiri population was around 30k in the 19th century, this means that Itsekiri is an offshoot of another bigger tribe.

If Itsekiri were 30k in the 19th century, Then it becomes obvious that they might be just 3000 people or less 400 years ago, or better still they never existed in the 1500s.

Itsekriri are most closely related to yorubas

Dont act dumb bro. Growth dont work like that in those eras. That article also tells you the urhobo, isoko, okpe numbers about 200k... today those people are over 10million. Ibos in those era shouldnt be more than 500k. We are only seeing huge population growth because of better standard of living.

Man, the strength of the itsekiris and bini are not in their numbers so dont be deceived. They had great influence then, and the itsekiris have the first educated king and individual in sub saharan Africa. They have direct links with British and with just a maxim gun, they can capture all ibos. Did you know lugard used only two maxim guns to defeat the war-hungry fulani tribe?

The Bini was never in partnership with the Itsekiris, rather Itsekiris was the Bini Subject (slaves) just as the igbos. Reno is trying to paint his people as a potential rulers along side the Binis, which was not so. Benin empire conquer all region in the South-south and south-southwest.

Even the Itsekiris were under the Bini. Reno is being smart by half for saying the Itsekiri and the Binis. It was actually the Binis.

The Bini empire was the only one in Nigeria the Portuguese and later the British referred to as ‘Great’ in all of their text. Its influence spanned into the south west to present day lagos, ondo & ekiti, beyond the river Niger up to the kalabari and even cross rivers.

Its was for the untainted loyalty of the king in calabar to the Bini throne that he choose to be banished there by the British.

Talk wetin u know oooo.... itsekiris "adopted" a bini prince as king but the itsekiris were existing before. The itsekiris have the first educated king in Africa. They are closer to the coast, benin is more hinterland. They both share similarities, yes. Benin and itsekiris have very rich history. Ogidigben, escravos, forcados used for trading on the coast are all in itsekiri areas. Do u know who are the governor of benin river since that position was made by the British? Talk wetin u know ooo....

Professionally why would a civil engr employ an architect?

Architects will employ civil engineers when job gets complex because they dont have broad knowledge of the behaviour of buildings. On the contrary, a civil engineer can do what an architect does so no need for him to hire one

NB: I'm talking about the Nigeria. So dont relate my posts to the abroad work atmosphere

Please advice from experience persons in the field will be veryly appreciated. (if there is any word as such)

Bro, look at the profile of those giving u advice and know where to pitch ur tent. Im a civil engineer and I must tell u the truth, architecture has no single advantage over civil engineering in the present day Nigeria. In fact, no course really has an edge in today's Nigeria - there's no job. As a civil engineer in Nigeria, u can do everything an architect does and even more. The truth of the matter is that there's no job in Nigeria, but a civil engineer has all the options an architect has and more. Architect focuses only on buildings and civil engineers can also do that, but on the flip side, a civil engineer can work on roads, drainage, water supply, construction management, surveying and a host of others; whereas an architect only works on buildings!

N.B: If I were to advise, go for electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, chemistry, physics or mathematics if u are an excellent student. After many years you will thank me.

Hello guys, I need some advice.

I intend using my uncle's SOA for financial verification. However, on sending the SOA, I found that it was the name of his company that's on the account (I.e. Business Account).

Please, how do I go about this?

Will it not cause issues on Interview day?

U can use ur uncle's business/corporate account.

Tell your uncle to tell his bank to write a reference letter to be addressed to the embassy. The letter wil contain words like, "We are writing this letter on the request of (UR UNCLES NAME HERE) who is the sponsor of (YOUR NAME)."

The reference letter will state that ur uncle is the signatory to the acct. You will need to staple this letter to the front of the SOA. U are good to go!

Goodluck!

Please house I have a crucial question bothering me.
On my 1-20 form I was given fundings from my dept for 12 months as a TA that covers my tuition and living expenses. I have about $5,000 surplus for the year. But my program is 2 years. On my funding letter, scholarship for the 2nd year is conditional. Meaning I have to attain a gpa of 3.00/4.00 to get an extension. My older brothers statement of account is fair enough to cover my trip. But not my second year expenses. Please! For those that have had their interview would I be mostly likely asked for proof of funding despite the scholarship details on the 1-20 form? My appointment is in 2 weeks time. I am really worried. Thanks.

Lol. Oga u dont have problem. U dont need to show proof of second year to the VO. U dont even need ur brother statement of account. In ur DS160 fill the school as the one covering ur trip.

Prepare ur transcript, go to the embassy and get ur visa

N:B= U have full funding with excess
