Jesus's commandment is clear, there is your neighbour, go love them just as you love yourself. There are no exceptions. none. Gentleman claims he is homophobic because he is a Christian. How does that fit into this commandment? #scratching my head. Genuinely asking a question for clarification. Viruses: Going by the writeup, the guy does not discriminate against LGBTQ, he only has a different view, just like you and would not promote it just like you would not. Everybody should be allowed to stick with their views, none should be forced on each other and employers should not discriminate against anti LGBTQ just as they should not discriminate against pro LGBTQ.
As a service provider, I will be professional in dealing with my clients irrespective of their sexual orientation, if the client demands to be attended to by only pro LGBTQ personnels, that's his/her business.
Just like saying hospitals should not employ male gynaecologist because some pregnant woman prefer to be attended to by female gynaecologist.
I put it to you, if you are the judge, you will award the case in favour of the guy because you don't want to start a situation where all job applicants must promote LGBTQ before they get employed. |

Before they start accusing me of been a supposed privileged British citizen, forcing people to buy homes they cannot afford and pushing them to invest on the stock market, from funds they don't have ..........😜😂 We need to share money advice here too. Before you open an ISA, you will need to clear all your debts then save up 6 months of your monthly expenses in an easily accessible account then work out your long term plan then and only then open an ISA. This is because you need to let that money rest in there for a long time (5-10 years) inorder to enjoy compound interest. |

Goodenoch: What you're saying is illogical.
Christians believe Muslims are going to hell and Muslims think Christians are going to hell, for being unbelievers/heathens etc etc.
Does that mean Christian doctors should be banned from treating Muslims or Muslims should be banned from treating Christians on the basis of a blanket assumption that they will be unable to treat them well?
Even the example you're citing doesn't gel with your claim. Did Jesus interacting with offenders mean that he didn't consider them offenders?
I don't share the guy's views but the argument he's making about the profound discriminatory effects this will have against religious people is valid, and as we have seen time and time again policies like this that start always extend into more thought policing and fascism down the line. While i cannot speak for other churches ,catholics do not teach that Muslims will go to hell, if I remember correctly. That would be arrogant, wouldnt it? I still remember catechism. Just to correct the records for anyone reading. Obviously, he did not consider them offenders.(remember how he wouldn't condemn the adulterous woman) He saw them as people with not irredeemable flaws. This gentleman made some homophobic remarks on Facebook which he said were based on his Christian beliefs. University expelled him. He won on appeal 5 years ago. But his new would-be employer found the case and terminated him which is what this new case is about. If I findout my doctor has recently expressed racist anti-immigrant views on Facebook, I would be looking for another doctor no matter how much he swears he is not biased. |

But note, past performance cannot be used to judge future performance........ 😂 On the other hand, US index funds on the Vanguard Stocks and shares ISA are up a record-breaking 29%. I expect it to remain high till November at least when Biden wins hopefully. Since this is the very tippytop of the market, its probably not the best time to buy. Its probably better to pop it in a high yield bank account till the markets become bearish. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/Oh and lexus, my accounts are not managed. LORETA: Good morning house, Thank you for all informations here. Please help a sister, I am looking for where I can do fibroid surgery more affordable, here in the uk. The NHS procedure is not encouraging. Please the pain am going tru now it's too much, and its start affecting my job. Please help a sister. So so sorry the NHS is failing you. Even people with cancer who are supposed to be seen in 2 weeks are falling through the cracks. That private consultation is to see the specialist. You will need to pay for Investigations and imaging. The surgery will cost about £4k again. If I were you ,I would fly home to Nigeria, find a gynecologist who works in the Teaching Hospital or FMC of my state, go to his private clinic and get the surgery done. Its the exact same thing only cheaper and faster. ( you can also choose top hospitals in Lagos or Abuja, they have cutting edge tech too) For procedures involving surgery of head ,neck, lungs ,heart, spine, probably best to wait on the nhs |

Can you just imagine? I was almost shaking with rage as i was replying both at the nincompoop (lugard)who said the thing and the gentleman agreeing with him. Dude , i am exceptionally gifted and successful . My colour has absolutely nothing to do with my abilities. Thats how i was raised. Gosh. Goodenoch: This is pseudoscientific nonsense.
The state of mind described here would be the same for any group of people with the same lack of education/exposure, and whose horizons and ambitions were limited as a result. People like Lugard said the same about indigenous people everywhere else from America to Australia, etc. It’s part of the MO of conquerors to dehumanize those they conquer to justify their actions. Civilizations like the Mongols also likely held similar ideas about how much better they were than the other countries when they ruled half the world, but now they’re a tiny inconsequential country.
People from the former colonies are increasingly occupying high positions in politics, business, professional fields and everywhere else in the UK and elsewhere, including an outsized contingent from Nigeria, so it’s clearly not about anything in the brain and about the society and the education, rule of law and other factors that keep people in line.
Much as I hate to cite colonialism, fact is that the forced mashup of several groups in Nigeria is a major reason for the inability to have a cohesive national front to tackle issues. Britain with just 4 ethnic groups has had civil wars among them, with the most recent just a few decades ago although they cleverly call it ‘the Troubles’ and not a civil war. Till just last month governance was paused in Northern Ireland because of underlying ethno-religious disputes under the guise of parties not being able to agree (although if it was in Africa they’d say it was ‘tribal warring). So isn’t it logical that Nigeria is struggling more? I don’t think that excuses the people in power and us as Nigerians in general but it’s important to put issues in context and not take to simplistic assessments just because they sound witty.
To be clear I’m not disputing your right to believe you as an individual ‘African native’ are far nearer to the animal world and do not have ambition and all the rest o - feel free to internalize and work with that, I’m saying it’s not true for the generality of Africans. |

May i exclude my past and future generations from this incredibly racist description. You may accept it for yourself, i have no problem with that. As he was writing this s**t about us, his people were pooing in the Thames. Infact ,during summer, the thames smelled so Much that parliament had to be suspended. Children as young as 3 years old were put to work among other barbaric practices. Not planning for the future is a common failing in bad leaders of every race. Infact, the current housing crisis in the UK can be linked directly to this . I hope it wont be long before Kogi state renames its government house (currently its called Lugard house). This man should be confined to the soakaway of history. hustla: Naija, everyone is just looting, no one is sensible enough to care about the future or even plan for it
Lord Lugard's excerpt about Nigeria and Africans still holds true several years after
I have taken some parts loosely below -
His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals' placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the state he has reached. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future |

I wouldnt extrapolate Nigerian politics to the UK as you well know. There is absolutely no point of comparison. Happily , you have acknowledged the woefullness of the Tories. How can you, in good conscience ,ask people to vote for this terrible party ? ReesheesuKnack: Extremely dangerous statement @ the bolded.
In 2014, a lot of Nigerians said very similar thing: “PDP out! Anything but Jonathan Goodluck. A goat 🐐 is better than PDP/Jonathan”.
This was despite very glowing evidence that the alternative (APC) did not have any concrete, costed plans.
‘Anyone else but Tory’ is a very dangerous slogan.
The Tories may be woeful right now, but Labour doesn’t seem to be a better alternative.
