Exactly the point and in addition to that, there will be videos of electoral officers from real life videos counting the votes which will supercede the numbers alloted to LP, if you can have those in reasonable number of states, then he looses outright on account of fraud or there will be an issue.

Tinubu was set up in such a way that it will be a yoruba that will remove a yoruba from office. The game started with the nomination of a yoruba jurisdiction empire to Aso cabal recently.

Well played.

Since I have been voting at Ward 10 Unit 10, Ibadan SW...in OYO State...

This is the only election I voted peacefully without any form of harassment or intimidation by thugs.

Yes, I know there were reported cases of violence in some states ...but, the gravity of these violence were not as we used to see during elections in Nigeria.

Also, this is the very first time in Nigeria's elections where I will see MANY (we have had some before, e.g Late Abiola Ajimobi) sitting Governors losing their polling units and losing their Senatorial ambitions. Many so called anointed political candidates lose their elections..we have the so called small parties producing Senators and Federal house or representatives.

The elections was not perfect...NO...but there have been a significant improvement in our electioneering process.

God bless Nigeria.
Don't mind them bro, it's only when their candidate win that elections are free and fair.

Spiritmask:
I am thinking of taking my presiding officer to court for altering my polling unit results.
I want to go to court on the basis that the will of the people in my polling unit was altered. I want to file a criminal case against my presiding officer (PO) for altering my polling unit results before uploading them. Thereby suppressing the will of the people that voted in my polling unit.
The constitution made it clear that we have the right to vote and be voted for, and it also criminalized the altering of election results.
The election act 2022 state that it is the work of the PO to transmit results, and in no way gave them the power to alter the results. I have my evidence, both results, the real and fake one that was uploaded on inec page and also video evidence when the election was counted.
Is it possible to take a PO to court, and will the court attend to my case? Which lower court should I start with? Lawyers in the house should clarify this.
you don't have any shishi right. If you accuse him of tampering with election results then it is a criminal offence. It will be a case between the FG and the PO. You have to report the case to the police, who will investigate and if Found culpable, bring a criminal case against him in court while you will be the witness. As it is you cannot institute a civil case on him because he has no business with you.

Do you even understand what you read?

I explained to you clearly that INEC prescribed transmission of vote results from its BVAS directly and immediately after vote closes.
But after the public voted, INEC used manual system to collate the votes many hours after voting closed.
Inec even shot itself on the feet later by announcing that it used manual system to collate votes.
Don't you see INEC's late use of manual collation as a breach of public trust in INEC, therfore, the election as conducted by INEC is illegal?
illegal my foot. Keep dreaming. So long as what has been done does not violate the electoral act, then it cannot be termed illegal. The electoral act backs INEC to use whatever means possible to transmit result so long as the act is not violated. Or are you tell me that if there are technical breaches that INEC cannot resolve in a reasonable time frame, elections should be postponed? Is that what you are saying? The electoral act envisaged this, that was why it gave INEC the powers to choose. No one, not even the shut down of all telecommunication services can stop INEC from not conducting elections. No one or issue can hold the country to ransom. We move.
Politics › Re: Six States Ask Supreme Court to Declare Tinubu’s Victory Null and Void by Misterone: 9:58am On Mar 03, 2023
onuman:
INEC chose immediate transmission of election results direct from the BVAS to its portal at the close of poll, not after.
It's breach of trust in the public if after voting, INEC chose manual collation of votes. That's illegal in law.
Electoral Act permits INEC to choose any election method it deems suitable.
Read what you wrote again, you are contradicting yourself. If you say the electoral act permits INEC to choose whatever method it deems suitable, then you cannot say manual collation is illegal.

INEC breached the trust
of voters. It conducted the election illegally.

In November 2022, INEC Chairman vowed publicly that results of the 2023 General elections would be transmitted directly from polling units to INEC portal for public viewing.

After the election, INEC publicly announced that it used manual collation of votes.
Illegality.
INEC is an independent body. It has the right to operate as it sees fit so long as it is within the electoral act. INEC can choose between electronic transmission and manual transmission

Any lawyer worth his salt will tell you that it is very difficult to overturn an election result especially a presidential election. This is because the time frame given to prove your case beyond reasonable doubt is too short. With over 150k polling units, and you have to prove your case unit by unit, it will be difficult to go through a state talkless of the 36 states. So what they do is pick 2 or 3 states. But with the wide margin of difference and also the fact that the 2nd and 3rd candidates did not meet the ⅔ requirement, Tinubu therefore is a GO.

At least 5 persons and (+) James wife, making it 6 persons.

"and" as used in that context is conjunctive meaning plus.

2/3rd of 36 states plus Abuja.

2/3rd of the 36 states plus Abuja as a separate state

The people that wrote the constitution treated Abuja as a separate vital state that every contestant must get 25% to be declared president for the fact that Abuja is the sit of power, you need to win their confidence to sit there as Nigeria's President
see yourself! 5 person (+) James wife making 6 (+). Now 36 states + Abuja making 37. What you should know is that all states are equal according to the constitution. You cannot ascribe special status to a particular area.. therefore, Abuja cannot hold the country down.

VeryKindHearted:
By my observation, the mood in the north among the masses is not that happy. I sense a kind of unhappiness among the people because Atiku did not win.

Let me take you down memory lane as follows:

APC almost denied Tinubu ticket because of the fear that Atiku Abubakar of PDP may likely win because the north will vote for Atiku if APC doesn't field a northerner.

They feared that APC could lose if Tinubu is the flag bearer.

Previous to this election, everywhere I went, I observed that the north was behind Atiku.

So let us say that the north has lost the election because PDP has lost.

The East has lost the election because LP has lost.

Why are the northerners blaming the east for their lost?

I sense a kind of anger from the northerners today. They said that the easterners only voted for LP.

I saw so many WhatsApp posts here in the north attacking Igbos. I hear some discussion bordering on the selfishness of easterners. They are not happy, I can confidently say.

I believe that the north thought that the east is so divided that it cannot come together to support a particular candidate.

I sincerely believed that they thought that PDP will win because somehow or other, the east would vote for PDP.

Although I never voted for APC(I am behind Obi). But I am happy because the north now knows that a candidate from the south can win even when the north is behind a northern candidate the way they were behind Atiku. The north now knows that if everyone is voting for his tribe, no one is sure of victory.

Previous to this election, Tinubu was unpopular and everywhere in the north was Atiku.

So I am happy that a southern has won in an election which also fielded a popular northerner.
Una no go stop! Haba!
