ElBenny: Hi guys. I need your comment and advice on this matte.
I got to know this girl from a friend back in July. She's a 23 year old final year LLB student and I'm 27 years old Lab Scientist.
We got talking at first and I began to develop interest in her. She's calm, cool headed and has never even bothered me with any financial needs (which I'm still stunned about, very unlikely of Port Harcourt girls).
I'm very selective of girls but found this one to be very decent and maybe different. I have plans of taking things serious with her.
We've gone out in a date at a bar once and it was all shades of amazing, there we shared our first kiss.
Just recently, on Sunday, a friend celebrated his birthday at a night club here in PH (411). I thought to invite this babe, she was pleased and accepted the invite.
We got there, ate, drank and it was dancing time with the DJ and hypeman. We danced and she was wild on the dance floor with me. I was quite surprised but kept my cool because of the atmosphere.
The next shock happened, one of the big boys began throwing money up in the air, minted ₦100 & 200 notes and this babe legit left me and began picking money on the ground.
I brought her close, but she would let go and kept fighting with the crowd for the cash, she was almost trampled on. For more than 15 minutes, I watched her picking. I was quite embarrassed.
Shortly after, we left and I dropped her off.
I've not been the same again since then, I've struggled with myself to communicate with her unlike before.
I know money is important, but is that a bad sign? Is this a red flag? Should I ignore her actions and forge ahead? I'm really confused.
I beg gettat. You too no dey mess. Una too dey formself
Lexusgs430: So when he is sick, he can stroll in (since he would no longer have access to the presidential jet and vault).......
He will have access to the presidential jet for life. Also, he can go to any hospital of his chioce and government will pay. It comes with the peck of office. No former president can be denied access to the jet and other peck of office
well, this narrative is one sided. It is looking at Tinubu from the angle of doubt and being guilty. What Tinubu said was that investment do yield which is a fact.
mrvitalis: Has obi not been proven right now ? After osibanjo and buhari investment in infrastructure how is the economy ?
Remember this debate between obi and osibanjo ... osibanjo said infrastructural development is the key way to drive economic growth
Obi argued that human capital investment and development is the first thing you need to tackle first that infrastructure can come later
4 years down the line after billions in phantom Infrastructural projects that can't even break even in 500 years ..Nigerians are poorer today than they were 4 years ago
I know as an Urchin you can never understand what I wrote up there it wasn't for you tho
mumu, without infrastructure there's no development. It is simple as ABC. For example, constructing a road in a city area will increase the value of the land and economic activity of the area,
BigYash: Politicians alone want to be enjoying the country. And those limit shit won't affect them.. Once they get to the bank and talk with bank manager.. Give him small %tage, they will still do what they want to do . CBN is just out to put more hardship on poor masses.. Useless CBN Governor ,useless Apshit ,useless finance minister ,useless buhari
This policy is only for a time and there's a reason for this. When the redesigned naira notes comes out, some people will start selling it. To prevent or restrict this to the bearest minimum, the CBN decided to implement this policy. Also note that denominations above N200 will not be inside an ATM machine. Therefore for those who are thinking of making brisk business by collecting old notes from criminals at high rates then going to the ATM to withdraw new notes, sorry is your middle name. You have to enter the bank to get the new notes
SocialJustice: Everyone in APC are being forced to support Tinubu by default, including those who have no interest in doing so. Serious milking is also going on by party leaders, giving Tinubu false hope.
I'm in the system and have first hand information from other party followers and leaders. Even some leaders are doing it just to save face and collect money. I know one in my state that just got a brand new car courtesy of Tinubu campaign.
Tinubu will receive the shock of his life when results start pouring in.
Nigerians are not fools.
Guy, take it easy. Tinubu has already won the elections. Atiky that would have given him a run for his money, quit months ago. The challenges of Obi is that presently in Nigeria, the average northerner will not vote for an nyamiri.
Fujiyama: ^^^ It wouldn't be fair, wise or realistic to expect Mr. Tinubu to have all the attributes of a good leader. He wouldn't be human if he did. But I do not believe he has enough of those attributes to do the job he is seeking.
Your question about 'who decides what quality is to be had or not' is a fair one. You have also provided the answer. Voters decide in the end. I am a voter and I presume you are one too. I have just one vote though. If in the end enough voters decide to elect Mr. Tinubu, then so be it. But I still maintain he is not the right man for the job.
Fujiyama: ^^^ Ok. Now we are stepping things up a gear or two.
Great point you made about institutions. But strong institutions go far beyond the LASTMAs and LAWMAs (important as they are) of this world. My favourite example is freedom of information legislation. Despite Goodluck Jonathan's failings (and they are many), his administration signed freedom of information legislation into law at the federal level. What did the then ACN governor in Lagos do? What did the the then ACN dominated LASG lawmakers do? Absolutely nothing. Then governor Babatunde Raji Fashola made the terrible, unbelievably cynical claim that this legislation cannot be domesticated at the state level (whatever the hell that means). To this day, as far as I'm aware LASG has not passed any FOI legislation.
If Bola Tinubu was the institution builder you claim he is then we would have seen his impact in things of this nature. But that is not the case. And no, it isn't because he is no longer in government. Was he in government when LASG lawmakers attempted to pass a law enthroning Alphabeta consulting as a revenue/tax collector in Lagos state for eternity?
Tinubu is not the right man for the job.
this country is a federation. The federal government cannot pass laws for state. States pass laws as they see fit. Maybe there is a clause or two the state may not like in the FG's version. The state has the right to domesticate the law which the Lagos state government has done.
Aufbauh: Tinubu leadership style as demonstrated in Chatham house has endeared him to me the more.
He shows high sense of capacity & dexterity to delegate competent hands & a top notch team player.
I've always believed that the President must not be the know-it- all candidate but the one who has the capacity & managerial experience to spot competent hands, delegate, and coordinate to ensure the job is done.
babajero: Buhari has completely abandoned government to people around him while he jamboree around the world, and that is exactly what tinubu is planning to do, but this time it will be worst because tinubu is completely gone.
babajero, the difference between Nigeria and the USA is that one has strong politicians while the other has strong institutions. The constitution already guarantees the workings of government. The executive is only to implement. Now with strong politicians, it is all about I, me, myself etc. Like the way Obi was saying I did this, I did that. That is very wrong. You need strong institutions with professionals because government is a continuum. Whoever come in, government will continue. That is Asiwaju's way. When he was governor of Lagos state, he created institutions that still exist till this day. LASTMA, LAWMA, etc. What did obi do? I invested in my family business with state funds.
Fujiyama: There are several - too many to mention. No human being has all of them.
Integrity. Qualifications (Formal & informal). Experience. Empathy. Patience. Vision. And so on.
yeah, you are right. No human being has all. This brings us o the question, why do you expect Asiwaju to have it all? Who decides what quality is to be had or not? You, me or the electorate
obyno82: Taa!!!!! keep quiet there let God not strike you dead with these your lies. In the US election did you see Biden delegate anyone to answer questions on security, foreign policy or US economy to anyone?
like I said earlier, Asiwaju is acting all presidential. He is no longer a candidate but a president in waiting. Presidents can delegate questions to aide most times when it comes to issues that are technical and needs a touch of expertise. Or how do you expect an accountant to answer questions based on security? That's putting square pegs in round holes. I know you guys see Obi, a man that can take advise from a mad man as the star boy but City boy is on ground and is working
clevybrown: It's clear and understandable that all APC and Tinubu supporters don't need brain to operate... But Please remember to get ur brain back when all this political madness is over... Ur mental health is at stake and U are sounding demented already....
when you are for them, they praise you to high heavens but when you are against them, they call you all sort of name. They can even take advise from a mad man so long as he is in support of them
SteveDGreat: Babachir Lawal has urged the North East Stakeholders to ensure they do everything possible to make Peter OBI Win the next election. He said it's a must. If Peter Obi fail to win this election, we are finished.
Watch his full speech at the North East Stakeholders Interactive Session
Tinubu is very presidential. Using professionals to answer questions so that the world at large will see that there's light at the end of the tunnel for Nigeria. The international community is already buying into our dream. Unlike those bandying statistical figures as if na im we go chop
obyno82: Oga your IQ is poor. There is no where in this world that a candidate delegates questions meant for him to give us his Thoughts to not his running mate but someone who is not contesting. hmmmm Fear God oooo and have conscience.
simon ekpa, if you have watched the US president being asked question, at times he delegates the question to an aide, or a minister (secretary) etc. What do you call that one, mumu
obyno82: Oga your IQ is poor. There is no where in this world that a candidate delegates questions meant for him to give us his Thoughts to not his running mate but someone who is not contesting. hmmmm Fear God oooo and have conscience.
if na so we for dey use professors as candidates na.
Mrtaye: It's not about hatred I am actually from Abeokuta and I see many activities proceeding presidential elecrions world over like USA,Canada, Australia, France etc I always look forward to their presidential debates which is norm ....but it amazes me when I look forward to that of my country and my expectations are dashed
presidential debate my foot. Who presidential debate help. You guys are acting as if you lack reasoning. Leadership is not about who can speak the best phonetics or who has the highest degree, or who is vast in terms of knowledge. Leadership is all about taking hard and fast decisions and standing by it, it is about discovering talents that can assist you to achieve your required goals. It is not about quoting statistical figures as if they came from the moon or was just discovered. We know all this things, we even have the solutions but our challenge has always been implementation. Obi that you guys are hyping, what did he do when he was governor of Anambra? Abi na today him get sense.
