All these useless old men, crying about what they failed to do and then blaming people who were born at the backend of the last century.

All that money that Nigerians waste on tithes and other such nonsense could/should go towards research and problem solving.

Religion does not solve problems.

The way the lazy idiotic pigs of Biafra reason .
If you are allow to rule, you will be worst than your ineffectual buffoon
Where is 'Biafra'? Who is from Biafra?

Why can't you argue the point without resorting to presumptive statements about people you don't know?

And nobody wants to 'rule', Nigeria is not a monarchy. What is needed is a proper federation where useless cretins such as Buhari, Abacha et al. cannot handicap the entire nation with their simple mindedness.

The worst part of the interview is that Buhari was being asked question on free trade. It has nothing to do with the "laziness of any youth"
What would a man such as Buhari know about 'free trade'?

Free trade entails competition - not tariffs and protectionism. How would someone who has benefited from 'Federal character' and ethno-religious bigotry understand the importance of competition?

The most painful part of this whole careless speech by Mr President is that he comes from a generation that have failed the youth. These same people enjoyed free education, cheap and affordable health care, working industries, numerous job opportunities, security of life and properties and were on scholarship to study both locally and internationally.

Mr President and his fellow geriatric brigades are solely responsible for the rot in the educational, health and economic sector of this country. They have stolen our nation's wealth and sold off our greatest assets for personal gain.

It is unfortunate that a man who has ruled the nation twice has no shame spewing such thrash.

The only lazy man who is waiting for oil revenue to squander is the man who has presided over a nation ones and his currently at the helm of affairs, yet he finds it comfortable sending his kids abroad to study and he is also quick to check himself into a foreign hospital for medical attention.
Everything you've said is true but you've missed one simple point - who had this children that Buhari is now crying about? Who raised them? Was it not the idiots from Buhari's useless generation?

The same ones who suffered in silence during the military era in which everything regressed?

If he and his generation had any sense of decency they would first apologize for the mess that they have made and then remove themselves from the levers of power, in all domains.

That's so tragic it's hilarious.

Voting is one thing but choosing to follow fraudsters has nothing to do with voting - it's a direct result of how Nigerians raise their children to behave slavishly. Until that changes this will continue to be the norm and the rest of the world will be able to see and ridicule.

One of the things my English teacher taught me while growing was "AS POOR AS A CHURCH RAT" and everyone was happy about it.
Now the Church has come to maturity and poverty can no longer be used to describe the church, the prosperity seen so far is just a tip of the iceberg, a time is coming when the churches who be far richer than the governments of the world.
Tithing is not a Nigerian thing ,it is a connection to a higher covenant.
No devil, media or freezer can ever stop me and my generation from tithing.... We would tithe all that we have because God gave us all in the first place.
Catholic Church is already wealthier than most governments. So wealthy that they have their own country, yet they still claim to advocate for the poor. Meanwhile the policies that they push and those that they kick against (such as birth control) suggest otherwise.

The direct beneficiaries are the Pastors and their families. This tithing ish has taken over the Church thereby relegating the rest of the gospel to the back. Christians seek the truth and the truth shall set you free.
If xtians sought truth they wouldn't be xtians.

Truth can be verified by way of evidence. Xtianity has none.

It's not so much that they are the "poorest" but that they are the most inequitable and unstable.

The people hide behind religion and then commit the worst atrocities against their neighbor and environment.

It's a sign that religion and mental illness are closely linked - xtians often claim that "only a fool claims there is no god" when the reality is that only a damaged person self-harms and that is what many of these religious people do to their environment, their children and their neighbors and their countries at large.

Bros,

What is more important is that it will work, be effective and serve the pertinent needs of the people. "Victoria" works shey? and still very effective, no be so?
I'm sure that Victoria has issues that other, more modern hubs do not have.

Besides that, Lagos and London are very different places with different needs.

Drawing inspiration from cities in northern Europe when you are in the tropics has always struck me as odd.

This is good but why is it being patterned after Victoria in London when that terminus was built in the 19th century?

Why not take ideas from more modern structures and cities?

Have you heard this man speak. He was the most eloquent man to come out of this country.

If this man was our president today, trust me, you would be proud.

When he spoke, western leaders listened with rapt attention.

Just go to YouTube and see one of his videos.
Is that what you're concerned with? How he spoke - how about what he did? How 'western leaders' listened?

How about what he did to develop the country? Especially the north?

Here is one small boy who has not spent up to a decade playing real football outside Nigeria claiming he doesnt know the Nigerian anthem well.
Iwobi spent his formative/childhood years outside of Nigeria. Okocha left Nigeria in his late teens.

Why would he remember a song that he didn't need to know until relatively recently?
