[What hospital did you use pls?]Pregnancy/B.S:: So I discovered I 'fell' pregnant in May, 2019 when I missed my period. Had a few days of denial where I kept telling myself it was the Ramadan we just started that delayed my period. Eventually tested and yes, two fat lines... My heart break... I just changed companies in January.. I was already working on being a star rep. My baby will be 2.5 instead of 3 year gap I wanted. Eventually I gave myself brain and started being more grateful to God. Then 1st trimester dealt with me and I started eating like a glutton or else nausea will show me pepper.. Gained about 25kg be cos poundo yam at 11pm was my bestfriend. Second trimester was good. 3rs came with heartburns and insomnia. Anyway at 38 weeks I got tired of the bump and started walking almost 2hrs everyday.Eating dates, pineapple and having sex. Nothing o. Random braxton Hicks and losing mucus plug. I had a previous C.S hence can't be induced according to my Consultant's practice/hospital policy. Had been indifferent about CS but was convinced by a Dr who said what if Labour was going to be easy for me.

Anyway at 40 weeks, Scheduled an Elective section for 40.4 days. A day to surgery, was admitted and I started having contractions. Painful ones this time. Had to be moved to labour ward. Contractions became 2-3 every 10 minute and were painful. Yet I was checked twice and my cervix was tightly closed. Got a painkiller, then I realized that pentazocine that can mask Cs pain for hours does not do shit to contraction pains... Omo next morning like this, I was the 1st elective to be wheeled into the theater. Baby came screaming her lungs out at 3.25kg, mecomium stained again with vernix already looking dry on her. But with an Apgar score of 9. I'm a day post op and already on my feet although I'm taking things easy too.. Safe delivery to the other waddling mamas. B.S submitted.

Lost my DS this morning, 16weeks and 4 days. Been admitted in the hospital since Saturday after continuous pain all through the night. Doc suspecting fibroid degeneration as that was what they were treating for. Looking back now, I guess all the constant pains were red flags . Signing out, team July

Mamas biko besides eating whole organic pineapple till my tongue burns like it's currently hurting, what else can one do to effectively encourage labor? I had some contractions on Sunday which later stopped, saw my doctor yesterday and was 2cm dilated.
Aside some very mild contractions that I can barely feel, there is nothing else going on here and I want baby out, we don kuku reach our farthest due date, the rest has been passed.
I don't want to go the castor oil route except as a last measure.

Every input will be appreciated.

Please I need help urgently!!!
My incision site is bringing out pus, I went to the hospital to complain 3 days ago and my antibiotic was changed to a stronger one. I was told it's because water enters the site while bathing because it was almost dried up before we were discharged..
I was told to stop bathing for now if I can't control water flow to the site and clean it with savlon and moko spirit.
Please what else can I do to help the site heal fast.

contractions started on the night of first Jan 2020,I thought it was just Braxton Hicks,cus was expecting to deliver January ending,ignored it,went to buy few baby things the other day,well on 2nd night mehnnn the thing increase,jjc like me don't know it was real labor oo,by 1am,my hubby and I left for a health center close to me,the nurse after shooting his hand in my vaginal,told me to go home that is false,haba, I went home,the thing double, could not sleep,dh too,by six we left to the second hospital that I registered,I was like I don't care whether is false labor or true oo,cut me and bring out this baby oo, something else has taken over my body,the nurse we met checked me and said haa madam u are already 4cm oo, oya pull off ND lie down,the thing increased ooo, I screamed ND screamed,by 7:30,a doc came shook his hand again and said am just 5cm and told the nurse that if in 2hrs there is no change,they should put the hot drip,I said two hrs ke!I will just die,put the hot dream now,they put it,women of Nigeria,naso madness started oo,ewohhh,I was screaming,kambashing in togues,chei,shouting mama moo,dimoo, doctor remove this thing,give me CS,is it by force oo,I pull my head, scratch anyone that came close,my eyes was on the clock,at 2pm,I was checked,7cm,chai,na how I pull out the drip,ran out of the room to the corridor naked, shouting,they were saying hei,hold this woman,hold her,me I don't care,I felt like village people were against me that moment,they brought me BK and said they will chain me,did they force me to do it,better behave,haa,by the way Dh was begging them,give her CS please,my wife ehhh, I stayed on the bed, shouting,I can't explain the pains,I get relieved on for 7or 10 second and it start,by 4pm,an angel nurse came and checked me, she told me madam,I want to help u and birth this child,if not u will stay here till tomorrow,she said oya comply,I said nurse oo, anything,get me out of this pains,she put hand,is like she pulled the baby down and said oya pull like u wanna poo,I pushed,pooed,pushed the second time,na how this my little boy came out screaming like I have been screaming ��,with a little cut,I felt relieved immediately,baby weighed 2;7,chooooo, see mamas I skipped alot as not to bore u ooo,but it ended in praise,I appreciate all the mamas here regardless of how u birth,we are the real deal,the special grace given to us eeh, January mamas Weldon,u will all have a very smooth delivery,fear not,u have been given a very special destiny that must be fulfilled,ehe,they said as soon as u birth u forget,Biko I never forget oo,my mouth is still paining me��,baby ND mama fine fine, Osinachi Jasper my son came into the world on the 3rd of January 2020,entered into the next stage. signing out,let other mamas follow. Congratulations to the January mamas @ebonyjoke @honeysweetest @redberyl. Can't wait to drop my own BA too. I walked for almost 2hrs yesterday but this aunty just continued with her makeup in my belly. Did the same for my son the last time and my water broke same day.

Congratulations Cappo. The fastest way to recovery is to actually stand up and start moving around once you're cleared to. However, dont push yourself too hard. How is bobo doing?

3 tabs at once. Fansidar is for prophylaxis (I.e prevention) and not for cure. You dont wait for malaria to appear.

@comtem2011, yeah, i was thinking fansidar cures malaria as well, so is it better to wait if/when malaria will appear and then drink the fansidar, cos from what they are saying..the fansidar regime is to be taken 2x or 3x, wk 19, wk 22 etc. 3tabs taken at once on each occasion

Do another scan at a reputable place. You should be measuring ahead and not behind. Just to put your mind at ease.

Please experienced mamas and seniors I need help o.
DH insisted that I should register at government hospital also, so I did. I had my first scan with them yesterday but their result has been giving me worries that how can it be. The scan said I'm 30wks and with my private hospital I'm 33wks+ which is in line with my own calculations as my LMP is 24th April
They also wrote EFW is 1438g, though I never checked baby's weight with my private scans before but I will ask when I go for clinic now. Thinking maybe the weight is small or OK I don't know. Just worried as a FTM.
Please don't read and pass. Drs or nurses in the house should help me shook mouth and also experienced mamas

Pray, ask God for direction and wisdom to pick what is best and will play out best for you. Once you do that commit your decision into God's hands and make positive confessions.

Thing is none of the decisions is giving me peace of mind yet. I'm trying to come out of the confusion. One week I'm team Elective then I see stories of those who did well in their first and not in their 2nd. the next I'm team VBAC, then I also read stressful VBAC stories. I'm just really trying to make up my mind.

Sis, do whatever gives you peace of mind. Some of us had ECS the first time around and have decided to go ELCS this route, some of us have decided to try VBAC. There is NO wrong choice. Your peace of mind and preference is what is important. Whatever you decide, pray through it and you'll be fine. What you'll get from this thread is personal opinions and to be honest with you that is very subjective. Either has no negative health implications as such so choose what works for you (health, career, body etc). All the best

You do not have to feed your fears.
Let’s say you try VBAC and get a tear, there’s nothing to fear cos you get stitched (I trust your doc is good in this regard and doesn’t do a shabby job). I have friends who said sex (and ultimately the Big O) felt better after having their babies vaginally while some said it hurt like it was their first time.

No two pregnancies or deliveries are the same. You may have an easier delivery experience this time if you eventually decide to try VBAC...(no need to think sideways)

For CS, you need to check your support system, will on hands be on deck for you? The first time, it was just you but this time, you’re healing, nursing a newborn and handling a toddler. If you’ll have help and won’t have anything delaying your recovery, you can give this a shot.

Personally, I’m worried about my repeat CS cos we are both orphans, hubby has no sister and my siblings will be super busy about the time I’ll be due so no omugwo . I’ll also have a toddler to deal with and I do not have a live in help nor do I want one...hubby is hands on and I’ll likely get someone who will come in daily to clean. My worry is not about recovery, my worry is having to explain to my todd that I can’t carry her or pick her up or bend to give her kisses or allow her climb and jump my body as she wishes or even suddenly hug me aggressively or give me a kiss. Even if I was a good candidate for a VBAC, I wouldn’t go for it for so many reasons; mostly medical, psychological and emotional.

I have friends who had their first babies through elective CS and never tried VBAC

Ultimately, the decision rests on you. Do whatever feels right to you or you feel you can handle. Assuage your fears and everything will turn out just fine

Healthy mama and baby is the goal.

I swear if I were you, I would just do elective cs jeje. VBAC sounds great but remember it could still go either ways. If you choose to have VD, tears/episiotomy are fairly common and you will heal up nicely with sitz baths( I never did this for two of my kids). Personally sex became better after my first baby and I had a tear oh.

But for peace of mind, I would strongly advice you do cs. Book a date and have your baby. In all trust your body and pls make arrangements for a help or nanny cos this mum of 2 lifestyle is something else.

Mothers, this is a long read but I need your advise. I'm 35 weeks gone and still confused about a birth plan. I had my first via emergency vs because when my water came it was meconium stained, He also changed from cephalic to transverse. Had to eventually insist on being sectioned because the Dr started inducing me and my water which was meconium stained broke over 12hrs. When he came out, he had cord round the neck, waist and lower limbs. I was grateful I took the decision. He still needed Oxygen briefly and we were also delayed in the hospital because sepsis was queried. Post CS recovery was fast for me. I was up and about 2days post op and if I didn't tell you on my naming you wouldn't know....... Here's the thing. Baby 2 will be here 2.5years post OP. I am a good candidate for a VBAC. My stomach is weird already. I mean I got giant stretch marks from my first and a bikini cs scar. Should I just go for elective this time or try VBAC. What if I tear in the Vagina? Will sex feel the same?I need to resume work on time cos my company products that has been out of stock will be back. I don't necessarily have to leave my house to work but once or twice a week will do. I've been really sold on elective before now but I know cs is a major surgery. I will not feel incompetent as a mother if I do it because the award is having a healthy child. I'm so confused!!! We have people birth vaginally without complications too. What if I'm one of them? If you were me, what will you do? I need to make up my mind before Monday.

This broke my heart... May you heal from this and be given double for your trouble.
