Bhola:

As per fashion, a sista got to look fly at any time of the day, even when running. I can't ignore fashion. cheesy.
Ahh, now I understand why we want to start running grin

Bhola:

Though, I plan to run outdoor when the weather permits and on the threadmill, during winter. Do I need to get two kinds then?
Nah, one pair is fine, with extra cushioning if possible because of the street.

Bhola:

Sport bra hmmm, no comment. Don't have big ones, so I will just get regular ones.
np, as long as it doesn't kill your back.
Health / Re: Runners In The House? by mochafella(m): 2:52am On Sep 05, 2006
If its casual running, 20-30 mins, 2-3 times a week, a regular pair of running shoes will be fine provided you don't have any special foot needs. If you have a high arch or flat foot then your shoe requirements will change.

Ensure that the shoe hugs your heel and that you have at least 1/2 inch of space btw your longest toe and the front of the shoe. Make sure your foot arch is properly supported. Extra cushioning is helpful if you plan to run on the street vs a threadmill.

Ignore fashion if that's possible cheesy. The best shoes are not always good looking. The lighter the shoe the better but it must fit properly. And before you start each run, warm up especially your calves and thighs. You might need back strengthning exercises too.

I would have spoken about sport bras but I don't use one grin. Good luck

i do agree with the idea of a foreign coach, but we need a world class name not some looser just because his skin is white

Most foreign coaches will not hang around to deal with the "Administrative Chaos" that we refer to as the NFA.

Chinani,

I may have been wrong about you. I thought you were intelligent, but I realise that if you have to stoop to trying to insult people to get your point across you're no better than bluenubian and jessilina.
I doubt she needs you to be right about her. You started the insults.

trini_girl:

For the ones who choose to break free of this culture and do the right thing I am happy for them, and hope that someday I will be blessed to be friends with some Nigerians who do not prove their nature to be the stereotype that continues to plague my country.
You think they'll want to hang with u and that attitude. . Not everyone has time to educate a closed book.

Sports / Re: My Grouse Against Wenger: From A True Gunner by mochafella(m): 8:52pm On Aug 31, 2006
I think Arsene's problem is the one-dimensional style of play. After that 49-game run teams now know that 2 barriers of 4 players across the last 3rd of the field will frustrate Arsenal's passing game. And of course with the relative youth of the team, grinding out a 1-0 result like Chelsea used to do 2 seasons ago is difficult. I guess the professor just likes beautiful football.

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: deleted by mochafella(m): 8:53pm On Aug 29, 2006
erm, slow your roll young lady. Its a little early to think about marriage when you haven't met him. I'll suggest you disregard his/his family's claims that he doesn't need you for his papers. He may not need you but the fact is if you get married, you will have to file for him. And whats with the attempts at making you feel guilty. Besides if the sister is not willing to "mentor" you if you do not have a relationship with her brother then forget it, you'll get another mentor.

You do need to chill out on the rush to get married. You rush in and you will rush out. I'm not a girl but 4 almost marriages at 23 sounds high.

mamaput:

But that is not the normal way Nigerians get married.
have they met your parents, brother sister family .?
The normal way will be to meet your people.
Mamaput is right, has the Sister made any attempts to know the rest of your family

zebudaya:

The nuclear weapons droppped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima were dropped from the air, Mochafella I really think if you drop a Nuclear weapon on the sea/ocean where the Russian Akula submarine is submerged you would sink it.

Chxta beat me to it, however I think you miss the point. The issue is not the type of weapon dropped or targeted on a submarine, the problem is tracking it down long enough to attack it. Ships and Aircraft are simply at a disadvantage when tracking subs. And if you can track the submarine why waste a nuclear weapon when a torpedo will execute the same task in an "environmentally-friendly" way.

Chxta:

Can you open a thread for that purpose? Seun has removed my ability to open new threads. . .
I think that facility was disabled for everyone until Sunday
Foreign Affairs / Re: Israel vs Hezbollah/Lebanon by mochafella(m): 8:50pm On Aug 25, 2006
This is slightly off-topic.

@Zebudaya and Chxta

Actually the US has nuclear weapons spread all about because its troops are the most widely dispersed worldwide. However the nuclear weapons that are not on US soil are tactical weapons i.e. the b-61 and cruise missiles, meant to be deployed by units in the field. The strategic weapons i.e. ICBMs which I think u both have in mind are all based on US soil or on submarines as SLBMs. It would be too risky to have such weapons on an "external" base where they can be overrun by an invasion or stolen "easily".

One more thing, the sub called the Akula by US/NATO is non-nuclear weapon attack sub. However the sub called Akula by the Russians is a ICBM-capable sub known as the Typhoon class to US/NATO, and it is difficult to kill them from the air, they are creatures of the deep best targeted by fellow subs.
