Razor, i didn't post so u could use my words to spite us.

chelsea has its own problems right now. they might not notice it because they are winning. its not my business anyway.

man utd has had a woeful start to this season and i blame SAF and our own lack of objectivity.
I don't want to sound like a doom's day prophet but i saw this coming. i told my brothers and my colleagues but they didn't believe me.

There is a guy here who coincidentally use to to share my views but the guy later traded his objectivity for club patriotism. His name is Jackal.

manu has been unlucky so far. But i insist that we have strong goal scoring problems. To be sincere our stongest place is our midfield with carrick, scholes and hargreaves (our best buy) showing class. The central defence is complacent. When other clubs were playing pre-season friendlies with formidable sides. manu was playing with schezen, guanyoung and the likes. Our match with inter milan exposed our central defensive problems.

The players have been over-confident. imagine Cristiano's bet with ferguson. he forgot that he has lost his suprise package and coaches tell defenders to watch out for him.

Carlos tevez was ferguson's worst buy. I was suprised jackal commented that tevez was better than rooney. Rooney is a rare extraordinary talent. forget the hype. Tevez has no pace, no goal sense, no positioning/response. Qualities that make a striker. his strong points are resilence, strength and ball control. Rooney has all that plus pace, composure in front of goal and the likes. not to forget that rooney plays better when there is less pressure to score. thats why we need a hitman to partner him. at best tevez is a rooney substitute. and believe me, even tevez will play better when there is less pressure to score.

I know some will say football has gone past the hitman stage but i say hitmen are every where, the only difference is that they are no more just scorers now but their goal scoring instincts are never in doubt. midfielders try to locate them when the game is tight. drogba, berbatov, torres, voronin are all hitmen.

contrary to some opinions, i think nani is justifying the amount spent on him and he was great yesterday. his shots are even better except for the one he just shot straight at the keeper. his overall play is improving. i dare say he was a better player than giggs yesterday.

God bless hargreaves. he was terrific yesterday. the guy simply converts defence into attack. he also should be taking most free kicks.

Saha!!! a mediocre player who scores when he is fit. i undertsand that the guy is basically one legged. but i still maintain that a fit saha would score in our last match. u remember his goals at the beginning of last season.

i suggest a hitman should be bought before the transfer window closes. tevez shuld be told he is terrific but needs a hitman to bring the best in him so there will be no hard feelings. when rooney is back, tevez could deputise for rooney or play wings when injuries come. how much was spent on tevez again. can't remember but i think it is too much. we have a better tevez in rooney.

Jackal, i love the way u responded to the guy who said he was no longer a manu fan. he really is a glory hunter. we can still win this league if we get our acts right. we shuld also try to console ourselves with the champions league (uuh laa laa).

remember i asked a question before on how one can ensure that obsolete files in the flash recovery area are deleted. I found the answer in the CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY rman command. Now i also found that the initialization parameter db_flashback_retention_target that seems to conflict with a recovery window rentention policy. what is the DIFFERENCE between db_flashback_retention_target and retention policy. do they conflict each other.

also how do i use both EM and command line to delete obsolete backups like archive redo logs already included in a backup set. i want a 0% transaction loss but i don't want to keep swelling my flash recovery area

alright. the things is, i want a 0% transaction loss. will deleting archived log files not make me unable to recover from media failure maybe except i am able toknow which of the files is already included in a previous backup set?

Archived redo log files protect against media failure and should ideally hold transactions since the last backup. Can RMAN automatically delete archived logs of transactions that are obsolete by virtue of being part of the last full or incremental backup. Should transactions be Abeg, someone should help answer this. sbucareer, babasin, larryoncol etc, its time to fire.
