The husband to be will surely need a bomb on the D-day because it ain't gonna be a walk in the park for him. |
computerboy:Was it not this Orji Uzor that said he lent his state some billions wen he was the governor? He went on to say he was losing money by virtue of being the state governor, he said he was already made before he became governor and even boasted that he was far richer than Abia state. No peace/hiding place for the wicked/all those that looted our Commonwealth, two weeks out of court and one week in will continue to be their portion and until they ve squandered a good percentage of their ill-gotten wealth on lawyers or make a return of the monies back to our collective till before they can know peace,, useless mofos....... |
MadamExcellency:Andy Uba was more of O.B.J's personal ATM,most of the deals struck in the oil sector,Andy had a hand even though he had no ministerial appointment yet he was very powerful. So powerful that he dictated who got wat and how much. |
If and only if this can change the perception of our politicians about life, so that they can amend their ways because matter the wealth or poverty, we will all end up same way which is death, it's a compulsory debt that all soul must pay and this ought to be our guiding principle in all that we do, and wat will be rembered for after we re gone? Most politicians will be remembered for popping champagne and having many girlfriends and concubines ,the number of suites they booked wen they were alive and not a single mention of the positive effect that had on life of a common man. There re some exceptions anyway bt they re infinitesimal and their positive contributions to society is like a drop of water in an ocean. I used to think academics were better suited to live a non-ostentatious life style being enlightened and educated bt they ve also caught the fever of getting rich by any means possible , and it's mostly empty or illiterate people who like to show off and announce their arrival because they know they ate empty within and desperate to be accepted by all and sundry. This occasion will only prick their conscience for d duration of time they spend there and after which they go back to their evil and wicked ways again soon after. |
Bants:Do u think it is right to let go of ur car if some guys who claim to be government officials and without any form of identification come around to tow it? |
u guys re also forgetting the fact that Fayose holds a very important position too, bt were he not a governor then hugging the Ooni would ve been an issue I don't think I ve seen any incumbent governor in Nigeria bow or prostrate before any king. |
lekkie073:I will do that much later, wat caught my attention abt ur handle was a post u made sometime ago where u said u attended Children's Home School, Ibadan. Surprised because that was my primary school too and I was a boarder.U remember Uncle Dispenser, mama ologi, the late iya Asamu and Co.i hope u still remember all these people that I mentioned? |
kolaish:Yeah I agree with u that all Arab leaders ve their ish bt I think it's best for their countries because they can't operate in a normal democratic setting, they need an iron fist to handle them, Just take a look at Iraq and Libya, wen Saddam and Gaddafi were I'm charge, how many times did u hear of suicide bombings? Bt today we ve so much suicide bombings in these two countries that we ve lost count. So finally I hope u nd I ve disagreed to agree? Tk care and ve a nice day. |
kolaish:I am not claiming to be a wiseacre ,we learn everyday of our lives. .My friend, the Arab spring settings is different from wat is happening in Syria presently, u see wen the so called leaders want to carry out any ops, they normally cloak it with sth that will make it agreeable to a lot of people while the true intention is hidden. I believe the main aim of the Arab spring was to get rid of Gaddafi that was becoming a sort of " a fly in an ointment" for the west .With their aim achieved, the Arab spring died a natural death. Also the U. S. and Israel feel more secured wen no strong man is in charge of any of these enemy Arab states because it would be easier for them to manipulate as there will not be a single voice to speak on their behalf as all of them will be in disarray like it is presently. The bottom line is :"the, Arab spring was a tool used to destabilize some "rogue states".They tried sth similar in Hong Kong in order to get at China bt it didn't succeed, they tried same thing with Russia albeit thru many of the NGO's introduced to Russia, and which didn't cut an ice until Putin wielded the big stick by mandating all NGO's wanting to operate in Russia to open themselves up for scrutinisation and screening for them to be allowed...... .If u want to be truthful to urself, u and I know that Libya is worse off today than it was under Gaddafi with many of the citizens complaining amidst many warlords ,each controlling his own swathe of the country. If u really thought Arab spring was to get rid of bad /despotic leaders as America,et al re wont to make us believe, then y is the AL Khalifa dynasty still overseeing the affairs of Bahrain, this is a tiny islandic Arab nation that has had a particular dynasty ruling them for upwards of 200 years or so, at a time the citizens were agitating that they were fed up with the dynasty and wanted a new leader, bt wat did the Almighty America do abt their request, they simply refused to listen to them amidst government crack down on protesters, American refused to act because they (America) biggest military base in the whole of the middle-east is in Bahrain. So much for double standard. The settings and dynamics of Syria is totally different, it's all about the black gold and weakening Russia's source of forex exchange which is crude oil, that is y they re pushing for Assads removal, wat has Assad of Syria done that the AL Khalifa dynasty of Bahrain hasn't done worse?. I know the dynasty did worse than him, and not a single word from our U. S because such an uproar won't be in her interest nd for which I don't blame America because politics is all abt interests. But wat I hate most is the fact that because America is involved then yam becomes yam bt wen it's another country's that same yam becomes beans. Germany even went ahead to sell some heavy military hardware to the government which were of course used in mauling the citizens which ought not to be so, bt because the dynasty is serving America's interest, they decided to turn a blind eye, wat Bahrain is to the U. S is wat Syria is to Russia with regards to interest, and strategic importance, so were they really expecting the Russians to act a fool so that they can easily run them over? This is the major reason y Russia is doing all it can to frustrate NATO and her allies in Syria because if they should ve their way in Syria then it will spell doom for Russia both economically and militarily. The double standards re easy to discern wen u ve an unbiased mind. |
I hope this probe won't set the headquarters of the Nigerian Custom Service ablaze? because I know this is the normal practice by some unscrupulous people who re hell bent on covering their tracks. The N. C. S. is every inch a cesspit of corruption and everything that is wrong with this country. |
Anybody who believes this post must be a joker, although Amaechi can be lousy at times bt this allegation credited to him is way too weighty to be uttered openly, it could be done in hush tones and not in the manner the op is suggesting. |
No more corruption in the judiciary, judgements ought to be delivered without fear or favour in same manner that the lady that symbolises justice is blindfolded, and methinks the election petition tribunal will be a test case for the "born again "judiciary, I believe that the A. P. C. will lose that state to an opposition party because the judges will want to take their own pound of flesh too, they will want to give an impression of being impartial. |
DaudaAbu:yeah, so true bt most people don't believe shit happens, it sounds odd to them that how can a government kill the people she ought to be defending? But wat they lack is an inner mind to understand that their re motives behind every action of a government irrespective of wat they want us to know/believe. Like a a larger percentage of people who re wont to believe that the 9/11 attacks were not an inside job, despite the fact that notable bodies like a scientific organisation that was at pains trying to disprove the fact that a whole reinforced concrete and steel structure of the magnitude of the Twin Towers can't just go down like that as a result of a simple plane crashing into them, they suggested the possibility of a controlled demolition and a possibly ringed structure with explosives prior to the plane crashing into them,bt the government in its usual style muscled their voices and they became less heard. Or was it just a coincidence also that some Israelis were seen at about the time of the crash with cameras getting set to record proceedings of the action that was about taking place, on probing them further, they said they were journalists sent by a T.V station from Israel to record some ish, they were hurriedly sent back to Israel and not a mention of them has been made again. There re so many dirts in government that need to be constantly covered. |
DaudaAbu:I like people like u who dare to think or do things differently from the herd,an independent mind of critical reasoning and nor the follow follow type. |
seunny4lif:Leave the kids, too much Hollywood movies and news from the pressitude of the MSM ve brainwashed them. Arguing with them is like hitting ur head against the wall. |
kolaish:Going thru ur post made me realize that u know nothing abt world politics, u don't know the lengths to which some of these leaders can go just to ve their way, the lives of 200,000 Syrians mean nothing to them provided that the flow of oil won't be interrupted which in this case is the laying of pipes from Saudi Arabia thru Syria and finally getting to Europe, this move is to whittle down Russia's main source of wealth thereby making her vulnerable, this was wat Assad prevented being an ally of Russia and that is y they re calling for his head. Connect the dots because nobody will tell u y they re so much interested in getting him out, All u will hear the MSM do is demonize Assad by saying that he is killing his people using chemical weapons blablabla while their real motive is hidden. |
Saintp:Most times these weapons only serve as deterrents and may not really be used... That is y they keep building so as not to left behind and taken for a ride if ur weapon is not up to date like Russia witnessed before they started to modernise. |
everystep87:Methinks he is trying to reassert the place of Russia in world politics since the disintegration of the old U. S. S. R which Putin said was the biggest mistake of the last century. Also u remember than wen it existed every country knew her boundary to some extent and not like the situation we ve now where only America calls the shot sort of. |
Future impossible tense. |
Kay17:Mr. Kay ,where in my post did u see me say sth abt VAT in the U. S, I only used VAT in Lagos state as an example of wat is obtainable in Nigeria while I also used the casinos and entertainment in Nevada because the dynamics re different bt the simple truth and the way it should be is having the component units paying a certain percentage to the central government,so don't try to be too clever by half by twisting facts or shifting the post in this argument. |
sarutobie:Thank u my friend, most people don't realise that the Almighty U. S and Great Britain that came in to help ve powerful satellites that can smoke out a thing as little as uranium movement on earth and that is y they re able to raise alarm once they notice anything suspicious, they came and still not a trace of the girls whereabouts. |
lanreni:Kk, sir. |
sarutobie:Thank u my friend, most Nigerians don't want to reason independently, the U. S. A and Britain ve satellites that monitor things as little as uranium movement, or how else do we think they know abt any uranium movement and then raise an alarm afterwards,it is simply because their reconnaissance satellites re there. They came to Nigeria and not even a trace still of the girls whereabouts. |
sekundosekundo:May God bless u for this statement, what kind of drama re we witnessing in this country, was the state governor not warned abt the safety of that area by security agencies? y was the principal's daughter nor one of the kidnapped girls? After sometime, we will hear from the state governor regaling us with tales of the girls being in a duplex, they think we all re fools. |
Asiwaju9ja:Where in my post did u see me say :"Boko Haram is a scam "? I only made mention of Chibok girls and I am still standing by my assertion, with no recantatation/retraction or whatsoever from me. And as for Boko Haram, yes I believe it was real at the initial stage until politicians took over because they saw the need to use it for political gains and so allowed it to fester. The late Andrew Azazi(former N. S. A) once said sth about politicians being responsible for the Boko Haram scourge and we all know wat happened afterwards,a lot of things don't just happen, there is a cause and effect most times. Re Boko Haram members aliens and don't they stay in the midst of people? |
Kay17:Hmmm,ok for a start, the city of Las Vegas is in Nevada which makes her money from majorly casinos and other forms of entertainments without any form of hindrance from the central government and at the end of it all there is a certain amount of tax the state pays to the central government which is used to run her affairs majorly those items on the exclusive lists like the Armed Forces, bla bla bla. Come down to Lagos state of Nigeria that generates about 80% percent of the total VAT for Nigeria and at the end of the day wat she gets in return from the central government is a pittance. |
Kay17:And Mr. wat makes u think monitz doesn't know Wat a federal system is? The one the U. S. currently operates is a Kay 17 system of government I guess. U don't assume, get ur facts right and don't come online to insult people with diatribe just because their argument don't tally with urs, Monitz considers a part of wat u wrote as an insult and that is preposterous. |
Bethelwealthy:U re wasting ur time because most Nigerians still believe the Chibok girls scam. How they were able to take a population of about 180 million humans on a ride still baffles me. They don't know y the countries that came in to help us locate and release the girls left as soon as they came, i believe they knew it was a conspiracy within the northern elites who were bent on wresting power from the "bloody southerner" that usurped their born to rule position and since the northerners re stooges to our colonialists, they too also played along or kept quiet since they will also benefit more at the end of the day if they(the north) eventually get the power because it would be less of a stress to the colonialists compared to wen a non-northerner is there. In 2007,amidst obasanjo's third term agenda brouhaha, Prince Charles of Great Britain came to Nigeria and went to see the sultan or so in the north, wen Buhari wanted to become president he ran to Chatham house in London and he became a "democrat " afterwards, this was the same person they had always referred to as a bloody dictator and tyrant. I want discerning minds to connect the dots.To make it a bit clearer very recently an American lawyer said sth abt Buhari not honoring the terms of the agreement they had it with him before the elections, he(the senator) said sth like "we told Mr. Buhari not to haunt or victimise the opposition wen he assumes leadership. That is just a tip of wat they discussed, so many other things were discussed which they will not ell u nd I, methinks some concessions and promises were made for Bubu to win the elections. Also an insider in America's seat of government which is the White House said Uncle Jonathan messed up big time by turning to Russia for arms and munition,he went ahead to say in their eyes Wat Jona did by turning to Russia was an unforgivable offence, so discerning minds should connect the dots and that's all.I believe to them Jona became a bull in a China ware shop that had to taken out by any means necessary. I ve taken pains to say all the afore mentioned so as to let us know that our colonial masters re more comfy with the northerners than any other people in Nigeria and which could ve made them keep sealed lips too on the Chick girls scam. So many stories around these Chibok girls, so much that u don't even know which is official and which is from the grapevine, its like one new week, one new story or gist to tickle our fancy.... . N. B: I don't want any kid/insultive character quoting me simply because u disagree with this post, it's not a must u see things my way, and the last time I checked I still had the right to see things my way, so just read and move on. |
tobtap:From this pie chart,we can see the contribution of the parasitic north, they re not contributing much bt want to call the shots at all time, dictating who gets wat nd how much. The more reason we need to go back to either regionalism or a true federal system of government and not this quasi type that is neither unitary nor federal. Take for instance VAT paid on alcohol, the Moslems in the northern part are discouraged from consuming alcohol bt at the end of every month wen Lagos state is done generating VAT for the Federal government inclusive of alcohol and cigarettes consumed in the southern part, the North will still get paid from the it despite not consuming/purchasing these items. It's a very crazy arrangement, it's robbing Peter to pay Paul, the system is heavily rigged to favour the North and there seems to be nothing our spineless leaders from the South can do abt it, it's either they re playing politics of hate or my enemy's enemy is my friend without critically looking our for interests,a very myopic set of people. |
steppin:He is just a nominal Vice-president with important and strategic decisions taken at his back. |
An arrest long overdue. |
Who re all these kids ranting abt the illegitimacy of the Oba of Benin? Let's all go back in time wen Anthony Onyarugbulem was the military administrator of Edo state, since elections were around the corner, the governor told all the traditional rulers to steer clear of politics and not support any candidate bt this present Oba's father made a statement and the governor wanted him to recant those words and the palace told him that once the great Oba has spoken he doesn't take back his words. This resulted in a stalemate and the Oba was placed on suspension since he was and is still the permanent chairman of Edo state Council Of Traditional Rulers, the governor even went ahead to tongue-lash the Oba bt the whole of Benin rallied round their Oba to save him from humiliation. According to street gists, the military administrator travelled to India to fortify himself because he knew the consequences of wat he had done bt few years later wen we were transiting from military to civilian rule Onyarugbulem lost his kids and wife mysteriously to the hands of death with him finally joining them abt a year later, I think he even also mysteriously in a hotel room or so. Hmmm, so wat is the morale of this my gist?,Onyarugbulem was a military officer who didn't know wat traditional institutions meant and being who he was, he had no reason to fear any "bloody civilian ish",but he forgot that before Abraham, Jesus was, most people know their rights but then there ought to be boundaries.Somethings existed before our forefathers, and we must learn to respect such things irrespective of whether we re educated or not. Though I am not from Benin bt I know that the words of the Oba re supreme and powerful. To that guy asking if the Oba is mad,all I can tell him is that he will be a very brave person if he can go to the palace and repeat same and still remain the same. .I know a lot of kids on nairaland don't believe in traditional stuffs bt it will surely do some of u some good if u can go to the palace and tell them u don't believe in the efficacy of the Oba's words, then I believe they will gladly clear ur doubts and make u see y their is night and day..... The family of the deceased that expressly followed the burial suspension order of the palace know the consequences of defying the Oba's and hence the need to obey. Wat they placed on those things as a message from the palace were palm fronds. bt if u know that u ve got seven heads then u can go ahead and fling them away and continue with the celebration. It will do us all some good if we don't dabble into areas we know nothing abt. Some of those ranting know they can't be in England and sue the queen because it is generally said that the queen can do no wrong, even with all their Human Rights ish, and yet these same people come online to spew nauseating trash because they feel they know their rights too well. Man,wake up, this ain't Europe or the Americas bt Africa. |
