KingOvoramwen1:Migrants who ve their own L.G. A in another man's state, I guess they must be very strong and we'll connected politically to achieve this because it's no mean feat N. B: I am not from ur Edo state oga, nobody wants to share her with u either, so deal with it..... Wat is even in that state of urs, just bos O. B. J was magnanimous enough to add her to the Niger Delta region doesn't actually make it one, it is a civil servant's town ok, Apart from Uniben which they hold onto tenaciously like its an oil company and some very few others like it, just name one other flourishing federal establishment. U need to experience the wailings weneva there is a strike or students break, up for holidays, this is because money circulation stops and re always eager to see it(Uniben) reopened. |
KingOvoramwen1:If u can't differentiate btw settlers and natives of a place, I feel u re exposed and knowledgeable enough to know this bt if u can't then I can't help it OK. Are the Benins and Esans the only tribes that make up Edo state? Answer this simple question.. |
BornStunner1:That who knows nothing but wants people to think he knows is a disaster nd disease, wat do u know about this country?? The Ibos re visitors in Ibadan but the Akoko Edos re natives of Edo state who ve their own Local government Area whereas the Ibos don't ve such in ur so called Ibadan, it's been like that since I was born. U re actually the illiterate fellow ok. . . .Nairaland is fast losing it, knowledgeable folks that one can learn from don't comment anymore ,wat we now ve re empty folks who claim to be wiseacres bt know nothing... |
Alariwo2:The "pepper" that he has always shown them I guess,u still don't get it that nature confers an unusual advantage on these folks and it is the terrain of their habitat,u need to visit the creeks to see for urself how mazed up and difficult movement is in the creeks.. They re like a fly resting comfortably on a man's testicle and I believe it's this catch-22 that has necessitated Buhari's frantic effort at wanting to discover oil in the north @any cost.. If they were on land devoid of those water and harsh environment and with all these destruction still coming from them, they would ve been extirpated long before now because all it would require is just a battalion of soldiers rounding up the entire perimeters of the area, and which will be followed by bombardments, aerial or any other type of warfare the military feel is appropriate... How many of us can even survive in the creeks if we were to stay there for sometime, I guess very few of us and these ve to even be the die-hards in our midst.... This is a war that the government can't win because the more u clamp down on the leaders , the more relatively unknown figures will spring up.Obasanjo tried it and it didn't work,Yaradua's approach is still the best by miles. At a time it was the Asaris and Atekes of this world that we knew and heard of and nobody knew who Tompolo was then bt today there is a set of new kids on the block .. Guerilla warfare normally is difficult on land for the conventional army then how much more one in the creeks where the boys re much more advantaged. The mistake of arming and empowering these boys for political gains by these useless crop of politicians from the onset is responsible for the voracious appetite and greed that they now have and like a festering sore it has refused to heal. At ops,can u stay underwater for just 30 mins? ? How do u know the side to follow to Lagos for e. g wen u are at sea without making use of a G.P.S,this guy's have an inbuilt "G.P.S" sort of ,they know which side leads to where and the rest. There was a little drama that played out some years back wen Abacha was still the presido,he sent a high ranking military officer to visit the creeks because he wanted to nip the skirmishes that happened every now and then in the bud. When the officer in addition to his entourage arrived ,the boys saw them bt didn't say a word to them probably because they knew that the exercise would be futile, now the farther someone goes into the creeks the less efficient walkie talkies become,it's a fact and those who re conversant with its usage as a means of communication wen at sea can disprove this, and this was wat happened eventually to Oga and his boys and they became lost at sea,it still took the intervention of the same boys for Oga and his entourage to arrive ashore safely, they must ve had a very good laugh at their visitors ,the morale of this short story is that u can't fight someone whose terrains u don't know like the back of ur hands........ It might interest u to know that some of our naval personnel can't swim properly and do u know how many of them ve been killed and drowned secretly, so wat do u expect them to do wen faced with a much bigger body of water,? It might interest u to also know that it was reported at a time that these boys attacked the Bonga oil platform which made Shell to declare a "force majeure"then this is a platform that is situated at the high sea with all manners of water waves, some as high as a storey building, it is normally assessed with the aid of an helicopter bt the boys went there by boats, how they were able to calm the turbulent waves and gain assess to the platform still remains a mystery. U can't attack them from the top because of the many pipelines that traverse the length and breadth of the region.... Dialogue still remains the best option anyway or y do u think ur presido suddenly developed cold feet on the proposed attacks that they ve been singing aloud before now.. .N. B: I am not saying the so called freedom fighters re super humans, nope and far from it, bt it will require tact and a bit of diplomacy to achieve the desired results. |
BornStunner1:Are the yorubas not a part of Edo state??I mean the Akoko - Edos particularly,Edo state is a miniscule Nigeria because it has most tribes as natives. |
seagulsntrawler:Thank u very much, u made my day with ur comment. |
Kikiki, karma is really a b***h, the same Boko Haram that was the fulcrum of A. P. C's manifesto during the campaigns is also about becoming the manifesto of another party/set of "politricksters",the whole thing is becoming more interesting indeed..... "Don't throw stones wen u live in a glass house"is a popular saying ,it's getting interesting that all that A. P. C used in campaigning against the P. D .P then will also now be used against them too simply because not only ve they been unable to live up to expectations bt also the little progress made under the previous government has been destroyed as well, thus making the citizens desolate nd angry..... |
ThesailorR:Oops, this ur gist is a sad one and it depicts everything that is wrong with our police, from arbitrary arrests of people for jaywalking to preferring spurious allegations against the innocent, they re just a bunch of retards and criminals. The Police need to cleanse its Aegean stable. |
All na for show,he will surely take some anti - biotics wen he gets home. |
Alariwo2:Stay where ?,re u trying to say there re no gullible ones or fake pastors in yoruba land as well? |
TonyeBarcanista:Were u the one who spoke those words or u were possessed by a spirit to do so?,U re gradually unveiling the real u and pls stop pretending that u re a peace maker and start acting the real barcanista ok,continue since u now think that only the Ijaws have the monopoly of violence....Y must all complaints be about the Ijaws all of the time?Re they the only inhabitants of the Niger Delta? The answer is an emphatic no ,so y do they like fomenting troubles anywhere they re . |
TonyeBarcanista: |
adeyemAz2D1:I think it will soon be ur turn to be lynched, wat is the difference between u nd d supposed 7 year old guy? Armed robbers like u who keep on defrauding unsuspecting citizens of their precious call cards or cash shall know no peace, Amen......The only way u can be free is if u re indeed genuine, anything other than that can only attract misfortune to u. There is no way on earth that u re genuine... . |
notoriousbabe:Nope, of course I know there re security details around bt for him to even think of this kind of stunt is wat I commend, other criminals/state governors won't ever dare to try a thing like this. |
There re some stuffs that might appear stupid and meaningless bt mean a lot in actual sense. This man is a obviously a street man, he has the keys and knows wat the streets want, I dare any other governor to try and mingle with the common man the way this man does. |
I dont ve any particular candidate that i am supporting in the upcoming Ondo state elections bt i am totally against this Jimoh Ibrahim of a man,Ibrahim has absolutely nothing to offer if he eventually wins,he is only coming to loot and destroy,a man that hasn't been able to manage most of the companies he bought from the last privatisation exercise, all he did was to knockoff those establishments and ask for intervention funds like he did with Virgin Nigeria. He got the Aviation Intervention Fund and instead of him to use it for the purpose it was meant, nope Jimoh took flight with the funds to Ghana and established a bank and an insurance firm with the funds,a conman par excellence. Robbing Peter to pay Paul i guess,Lest I forget, where is Newswatch magazine ![]() This man is a crook,he is only coming to romance and ve a date with the treasury of Ondo state,a man that currently owes his workers a backlog of salaries with no hope in sight of paying is a bad manager and shouldn't be entrusted with our commonwealth. I think it's high time a law was made barring anybody who has an establishment outside the shores of Nigeria from contesting, they re not patriotic enuf and don't believe in the Nigerian Project because if they did, they would ve set them up in Nigeria to generate employment for her teeming young population. Ondo people shine ur eyes,I will be more than heartbroken if this dude wins, wat does he know abt politicking? Common,we re not talking buying and knocking off industries which is his area of specialisation. |
hmmm |
This guy is just a genius, how many artistes in Nigeria can ve lots of their tracks liked by Nigerians in this same manner,i guess none.. I remember sometime in the very early part of 2011 wen a particular radio station in Lag asked Lagosians to call in and mention their best track for the previous year, more than 80 percent of callers listed "if to say na just me" as their favorite so much that weneva someone called and named another track as his favorite, the presenters always heaved a sign of relief and said : " thank God, finally we ve a different one"..... And it wasn't even that the remaining 20 percent or so was for just another musician, nope bt rather it was for the others who were also raves of the moment then. The guy is just miles ahead of his contemporaries, more like our own Tupac..... |
HtwoOw:Are u for real ,wat has the N. D. A. got to do with terrorism , if u say they re economic saboteurs, yes bt definitely not terrorists, maybe u ve to read up wat the differences between the two re................. |
AreaFada2:In the last presidential elections,Nigerians threw away the baby with the bath-water,they couldn't separate or draw a distinction between the two. I hope we re learning our lessons ahead of the 2019 elections.... |
Kingsasian:Wat kind of lame excuse is this , and funny enough some people liked this very hollow point of urs,i now understand y some charlatans who claim to be men of God will continue to ve a field day, there will always be gullible ones to believe and trust that they re indeed of GOD..... |
henrydadon:Continue to wait, and u might want till eternity because this man ain't going nowhere or does he like someone who is about to embark on a journey. |
BrutalJab:@ rice.........., that is a future tense and may not even come close to being fulfilled with many excuses and drama to be given and rehearsed. Finally the anti-climax will be asking for a second term so that they can finish the "good work" they started, politicians are all the same irrespective of the political party they belong to, no feelings for the populace that voted them into power,a very callous set of human beings. We re surely awaiting them at the polls in 2019 to let them know that the populace that they are always neglecting re the real owners of the power they so much like. So it behoves us to get our voter's cards ready, get ready to register wen they start another registration exercise if u don't ve.... And don't be swayed by any goody goody that they will be giving out on "d" day to entice u into voting them into office,no amount of it is worth ur voter's card, they re just an imbecilic bunch of charlatans ..........,once they get into that their green and red chambers ,they start acting like tin gods and,aso treating us with disdain as if we re not human beings too. |
dustmalik:Which editors re u talking about? Is it the brown envelope fellas who don't care about proofreading their stories anymore before churning them out?,journalists of today cannot be compared to those of yore. The standard is falling gradually and everyday,it's just a pity. |
Tolexander:I even had to go back and check if I missed out on any part of the story because I didn't see where it was stated that they had sex in the bush bt rather the man only dumped the remains of the woman in the bush afterwards. |
muykem:Don't expect a thing like this suggestion which though noble bt won't see the light of the day simply because some re the supposed "5 percenters" while others re "95 percenters". U don't expect these two sets of people to be treated equally by Bubu ,and he has even reaffirmed that in the past. The former re "aliens" in Nigeria while the latter re the authentic owner of this geographical space. I wonder how a country whose leader has this kind of mentality can grow,it won't grow simply because of the bigoted view of the president. In victory, there ought to be n a "no victor,no vanquished" disposition by the Victor which is the first step towards healing all the cracks. |
strenghtt:The guy only made a general statement,so y re u taking it so personal? |
Nna men,na which kain famzing con be this na?Nigeria is our country, and it behoves us to direct this kind of advice at our government because obviously they need it and not America that has strong institutions already. Na the season of everybody kala ur mamu be this,no more free lunch. |
The stomach infastrucure is for real and has come to stay, the P.D.P should as a matter of fact supply the butter that will be used in consuming the bread,it is only then it will be balanced.... |
yjgm:Gaffe or no gaffe, a man of W. S status can afford to do without America's green card and a lot of Nigerians still don't know this. W. S is an asset to any nation. Someone that was taken to Amsterdam by Swiss Air on just mere personal recognition with his iconic white hair wen Abacha's heat became too much for him.And Swiss Air even released a statement that read thus : "We took W. S took to Amsterdam based on personal recognition from a neighboring African country" even wen he had no document to show who he was,now how many people re on the surface on the earth and yet one man still gets this kind of recognition globally. America and even the university where he is a visiting professor have more to gain from him than him from them. There re other countries like Canada that re higher on the Human Index on development than the U. S. A. I agree that America is a big deal to most struggling Nigerians bt for someone of his status, it's no big deal. Tina Turner relinquished her green card a long time ago for Switzerland's passport and sometime last week Steven Seagal became a citizen of both Russia and Serbia, and more people re more than willing to do same. If these people that I ve mentioned can do that so y can't W. S do same too if he so decides? -- And where did Tamuno David-West crawl out from all of a sudden after the last election fiasco. Everything Tam said they would do wen the A. P. C were seeking office then ve since been disowned by them ,he ought to still be hiding his face to prevent further embarrassment bt suddenly he crawls out from nowhere to comment on yet another controversial topic like this. |
TippyTop:Don't u know that Edo state has a sizeable number of yorubas as denizens in Akoko -Edo?? So this Akerele of a guy could be from that area,my thoughts anyway........ |
989900D:Nice suggestion bt it will neva see the light simply because they want to loot continuously our common wealth. |
