My previous visa issued in Oct 2018 had the seal you’re talking about, but my current visa don’t have it. I submitted my application on 3rd May 2019 and got my passport 31st May and saw that the seal isn’t there. From my investigation, I leant that the seal is no longer on visit visas issued from November 2018.
Regarding this the visa date, you should ask the applicant if he stated on his application that he was to travel in July, but I still don’t think that’s enough for the visa validity to start in July

Happy Sunday house. Please dear house for those of you that recently got visa this month. And submitted application around April. I will like to confirm if there is any UK seal on it? I just saw a friend's visa and it did not look like my previous visa sticker, in all my visa I do av round seal from the UK home visa but I am not seeing it on this visa. Any body collected his or her own to compare. The person in question submitted application around April 16, how comes is it showing from 18/07/19. We are still in the month of June. How come is home office putting July?. Please I will appreciate recent pictures of UK sticker from those that just got visa. Many Thanks.

The best u can do is when u get to the VO, just tell the VO u made a mistake when filling the application of your child. Explain and show them the baby's birth certificate ,all they need to do is note it on your application in the system for future applications. just pray. God is in control. For your brother to qualify for spouse visa, him and her British wife must be in a genuine relationship. There av to be proof on the marriage such as marriage certificate (court marriage certificate) marriage pictures, other pic together, communication from WhatsApp chat(the screenshots), emails, calls and face book messanger. All depends on what media they communicate. They must be prove. The British lady av to come to Nigeria and wed y bros in court, then go bk to UK and prepare her documents to apply for your brother. The requirements for her documents, she needs to be permanent staff , agency worker or self employed or can take the saving route which is lots of money, about £62,000 I think to meet the financial requirements. For the requirements under permanent she need to be earning £18,600 per annum bf she can bring in y brother, with six months payslips and six months statement of ac. For the self employed she either go through cat F or Cat G. U can read that on goggle for self employed. Just ask the lady the job requirements she has. I think she will know better.

For your brother he needs to write test of English exams. But this days if u av a degree certificate, u can visit your university and they write to embassy that doing y university u were taught in English language, depending on the course u study, then get your original certificate and transcript and take it to NARIC (They r the organization in nig. in charge of validation for test of English if u are a graduate) , y bros need to do TBS test, need to pay for nhs, write supporting cover letter.

For his chances of getting spouse visa is for the marriage to be genuine. The British lady meeting the financial requirements, accommodation, and meeting the visa payment, nhs, TBS. The lady must budget about £3000 for Settlement visa. If the lady meets all requirements for sure y brother will get spouse visa.

Well lot of money is involved, it is very compulsory for her to come to Nigeria and marry y bros, except she is going to apply for fiance visa, when y bros gets it, then they wed in UK and fille for spouse visa. The duration for visa process for Settlement is 60 working days but depending, some got in 50, 45. Except u apply for priority then u get it like 23 working days or less.



Note: Make sure y brother knows much about this lady and the lady meets all the spouse requirements bf deciding to marry. All the best to y brother.

Good day house I am new on this forum. Please I will like to ask those of you living in the UK if anybody is aware of the new EU settlement scheme going on now in the UK? I am asking on behalf of my friend in Nigeria. She just told me that her hubby in the uk just applied for the settlement scheme. She said that as soon as the hubby gets it, he will apply for spouse visa for her from Nigeria. Please I want to ask if the EU settlement status holds weight like the ILR? Can one use it to apply for spouse visa for the wife? The wife lives here in Nigeria why the hubby was a non EEA family with retained right of residence visa for five years. The hubby av spent more than five years in the UK. But the hubby av divorced his ex-spouse since 2014 and came to Nigeria in 2016 to marry my friend. My friend has been waiting for his hubby to get his permanent since 2016 but he got refused for permanent residence last year so he just applied for this new settlement scheme. So my question now is if he gets this ILR via this new EU scheme can he use it to apply for spouse visa under the UK immigration rules of meeting the finance requirements on 18,600 pounds and other requirements? Bro. Any UK resident can invite anyone in the UK. Be it if u are on a student visa, work visa, e.t.c. You dont have to have settlement.

You can also bring spouse and your family if you have Tier 4, Tier 2 and other visa. In this case, this will be dependant visa. Only your children and spouse are eligible for dependant visa. Your spouse on dependant visa can work full time, collect Maternity allowance and SMP. But they are not entitled to other benefits. Your children (less than 16) can attend free school. Your spouse and children are entitled to free health care. Please let us not pass wrong information.

The first part of the information is wrong. You don’t have to be a settled person to invite someone. As long as you are legally resident that’s all you need.

Also can I send all this via mail to my mum to use for her application or its original copy that is required? mostly original copy is required but you can send it to her through the E-mail i will advise you to fill the form for her from the uk and upload all necessary information from your own side, then your mum scan her signed statement of account to your email and her cover letter, u can assist her to write the cover letter since u said she is not educated, then book appointment and pay for her visa.

Lastly, is there any interview for a visitor visa? There is no interview. only for her to go for her biometric and submit her passport.

congrats on your baby. I hope your hubby av a settlement status in the UK or he is a citizen to invite your mum? if yes, he can fully sponsor your mummy. I will advise your mummy to provide her statement of account for six months even if your hubby will sponsor her. your mum has to write a cover letter stating that she has a petty shop and how much she makes each month and wish to visit her daughter and new grandchild in the UK to be able to assist her daughter who gave birth, she will be staying for some duration of time like 3months or four months(Please state the actual duration u wish her to stay,d'nt put two weeks and your mum comes and stay for 5months, this will affect future application) and also state that her tie in Nigeria to convince the ECO that she will be coming bk after her stay. her tie can be her hubby, children and the petty store

since your hubby is a self-employed person, he will need to provide his tax clearance, the paid and unpaid, provided that he is paying his tax in installment. The self-employed route he will need to provide all necessary documents for his business. The registration of his company from the company's house, all the invoices payments and statement of accounts of his business and personal account. then the tenancy agreetment, water bill, and electricity bills and any other relevant documents. He should also provide his financial account for the year from a good accountant, it also helps, at least the ECO can see from his financial statement that he is able to sponsor

Hello guys what's the longest time one can wait after printing statement before applying.I mean how long can I wait before the statements stales/expire.

The best thing to do complete your application form and book your appointment, give two or three days to enable you to print out your statements of account. printing of statement of account does not take long. for e.g, If the appointment dates are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8. take the 4th day to book your appointment and print your statement of account on the 1st or 2nd.

No need to be nervous, it is a good sign. As soon as it is dispatched he will be informed, so the process might get up to 15working days bf he gets his passport . just tell your friend to keep calm.

No! you can not invite your hubby to the Uk because you don't have a settlement status. u are only in the UK temporary studying. The only invitation u can give is an invitation inviting him to your graduation. u can only invite y hubby if you have an indefinite leave to remain or u are a citizen. The only thing you can do for your hubby is to provide accommodation for him and attached your tendency agreement and sign by the landlord that your apartment can take two people. you also prove your address with your water bill or any other bills that state your address. but if u are not able to accommodate him he has to book a hotel or hostel reservation.

your hubby can only visit you on his own. Then he can include your details in the application form. when asked in the application form do you have anybody in the UK, he has to mention you, will he visit u, he said yes and state your status in the UK if you are in the there temporary. He should also write in the cover letter that he will be visiting you and give details of you.

We have just submitted an application and then found that the only available dates for biometric is about 9 days before our travel date. (This is one of the downside of submission before seeing available time slots).

yes, u can change travel date and give a comprehensive reason why the date was changed. As u said because of the biometric. explain and screenshot the details of the hotel reservation and paste it on the cover letter and also attached the reservation confirmation u made. Cheers

Yes Salah holiday will make it 17days. Salah holiday is not a working day for uk embassy or Vsf.
It is 15 working days and weekend exclusive.

Then on the checklist form there is a section for tenancy agreement. I hope its not mandatory to provide a tenancy agreement because I don't have it

O! I see. I never experience this the last time I applied. Please any thing they state kindly provide it for them to be on a safer side. U can talk to your landlord to give u your tenancy agreement

The United States State Department has stated that applicants now have to submit their social media usernames when applying for a visa.

BBC reports that the new regulations also require that people also submit five years’ worth of email addresses and phone numbers.

This is part of the state department’s plan to ensure national security in the country.

“National security is our top priority when adjudicating visa applications, and every prospective traveler and immigrant to the United States undergoes extensive security screening,” the department said via an initial proposal in 2018.

“We are constantly working to find mechanisms to improve our screening processes to protect U.S. citizens, while supporting legitimate travel to the United State,” it said.


This development came barely three weeks after the US Embassy in Nigeria announced the indefinite suspension of interview waivers for renewals, otherwise known as the “Dropbox” process.

A statement on its website noted that applicants in seeking a nonimmigrant visa to the United States must apply online, and will be required to appear in-person at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja or U.S. Consulate General in Lagos to submit their application for review.

It added that Nigeria’s processing procedures are regularly reviewed in order to assess our ability to quickly, efficiently, and securely process visa applications.

“The U.S. Mission is taking this step to provide more efficient customer service and promote legitimate travel, and will continue to facilitate applications of established travelers to the best of its ability”, it concluded.

The United States Government has reeled out fresh condition for visa application, noting that nearly all applicants for the United States (US) visas will have to submit their social media details under newly adopted rules.
The US Department of State gave the new regulation Saturday, saying people will have to submit social media names and five years’ worth of email addresses and phone numbers.
When proposed last year, authorities estimated the proposal would affect 14.7 million people annually.
Certain diplomatic and official visa applicants will be exempt from the stringent new measures. However, people travelling to the US to work or to study will have to hand over their information.

Previously, only applicants who needed additional vetting – such as people who had been to parts of the world controlled by terrorist groups – would need to hand over this data.

Anyone who lies about their social media use could face “serious immigration consequences”, according to the department.
The Trump administration first proposed the rules in March 2018.
At the time, the American Civil Liberties Union – a civil rights group – said there is “no evidence that such social media monitoring is effective or fair”, and said it would cause people to self-censor themselves online.
US President Donald Trump made cracking down on immigration a key plank of his election campaign in 2016.
He called for “extreme vetting” of immigrants before and during his time in office.
On Friday, Trump vowed to impose gradually rising tariffs on Mexico unless the country curbed illegal immigration at the US southern border.

£20 is still ok for lunch and supper per day depending on what you want to eat. Just estimate your budget as follows: ticket fare, accommodation, living expenses (This include your budget for food, drinks and others) , transport fare visiting tourist attractions and shopping.

Yes remove y sister. 1.8M is good but depending on how many of u are traveling and how long u intend to stay in the UK. Estimate the budget well for the number of pple that will travel. Ticket fare for each, cost of living expenses, transport fare for visiting tourist attractions and shopping.

For the lodgement explain in the cover letter how u got the money.
No worries on the small amount moving in and out.

My advice let only y hubby be the one that will sponsor u and the kids. Since y salary is less after deduction, present every details of y employment and payslips and u write a comprehensive cover letter that your hubby is sponsoring u and the kids. Y hubby will present his work details, his statement of account with a reasonable buget to sponsor u and the kids.
Lodgement of money into your account is automatic refusal. It is better that all the sponsor comes from y hubby account. State the budget for all of u in the cover letter. And after it, let your hubby still av some good amount that u guys can fall bk when u come bk to Nigeria.
