we should have left welbeck on and taken of kagawa for chicarito. |
well done welbeck. strong run all some can do is criticize |
said we would look better once we sorted the formation out and we do. its not just about scapegoating certain players. |
damn |
the tactics aren't helping, this is not a matter of welbeck, Valencia, cleverley is shit. our setup is poor. welbeck had basically been played all over the place, no fixed position, kagawa is being shunted all over. Meanwhile Rooney's love for touches has at times left us strikerless. put dw19 where he can play, upfront and drop Rooney behind or unto the left. |
move welbeck upfront and either Rooney or kagawa to left. Rooney is dropping deep too often and leaving us with no one upfront. |
chei see how dembele just nutmeged Jones. |
Rooney really should have left that |
Evans having an ify game so far. Rooney equalizes, elampiro goes gaga. |
Jones stupidly lets the ball bounce and we concede. why in heavens name is the wall jumping from that close. no way would walker have got the ball over the wall and under the crossbar. |
I don't envy Rene if he takes charge at Fulham once Jol is sacked. |
Mid season finale is basically a mash up of what should have happened last season in s03e10 and s03e16. As for who dies, once a show get to the point when all most people are bothered by is who gets killed, that show is getting stale. |
Jones is not a central midfielder, he has been played mostly as destroyer/marauder. Mostly to disrupt the opposition, he has only one responsibility which is incredibly simplistic. There are only certain types of games he can be useful in. He basically doing what the likes of Quinton Fortune, Phil Neville, Alan Smith, Ronny Johnsen, David May e.t.c have done for us in the past. Notice, no one in their right minds would call any of these players I mentioned a good central midfielder at top levels. Any one placing hope in Jones is directly and indirectly drawing this team and squad back. He has no future at the position and limited value. Rather than wasting time giving him minutes there, its better to play those who actually can play there and offer more than simply running around like a marauder. It is much better to play Carrick, Fellaini, Cleverley, Ando there (even recall Tunniclife, Petrucci and Powell from loan), and give them chance to prove themselves and improve. If they don't, then we know how many what we need to find in the market. Hell no is playing Jones regularly in midfield going to help this team. See where drafting Giggs into central midfield got us. We have one of the weakest central midfields in Europe, because we failed to truly solve the problem, instead resorting to gimmicks while all the quality was being snapped up by others. Now, not only do we suspect first team central midfielders, our once promising prospects have failed to materialize. No Jones in central midfield. Unless injuries dictate it, or special occasions. Stop the gimmicks. |
This your love for "power" is ridiculous Elampiro. Every other word is Rooney, pace, power this, power that. Its football not boxing |
Big takeaway from tonight, we need to drop the rigid 4-4-2. Whether Kagawa plays or someone else does. No more rigid 4-4-2. A relatively fluid front 4 made life easier for Jones and Giggs and destroyed an atrocious Leverkusen on the counter. We can't make too many conclusions and claim too many positives as Leverkusen were truly atrocious. Any other team would have squeezed Jones and Giggs more and examined the back 4 more sternly. |
Draw at home and we guarantee top spot and hopefully get a weak round of 16 opponent. |
MOM = Rooney for quality and creative attacking play. That is what I want, not a good set piece delivery and lots of waste output running around inefficiently then claiming wonderful performance. |
Damn, Leverkusen were even poorer than they were at O.T. |
Thank God Nani scored, some pple will blasting him if Valencia scored and he didn't. |
Now, please Moyes drop this rigid 4-4-2 crap. Fluid formation and tactics, not A predictable style that doesn't suit the existing personnel. PLEASE. |
Said it earlier, the one place where you can see improvement under Moyes, is our threat factor from corners and set-pieces. Probably why he has a raging hard on for Baines. |
Good 1st half performance. The lack of a rigid 4-4-2, but instead a more fluid formation, has helped us play much better going forward. |
dademola: very good movement bro!! Der was no cleverley to pass it sideways.... ![]() |
Fabio isn't even on the bench. |
Why can't Ando start a game like today, that we have to play a 40 year old and a natural center back in central midfield. Ando can't do any worse. Its not like we overflowing with options in the position. |
coded guy: Since you don confirm this line up. Let's see how many successful passess kagawa will make, how effective Rooney will be as top striker. Our midfield might be exploited and jones might be overworked and I hope that does not earn him a redcard.I wonder oh. |
but really why in heaven's name did Moyes put the kibosh in our interests in Strootman and Thiago, considering our desperation in midfield. now we will have to find well north of £20m to get Herrera in January, along with 27m already spent of Fellaini. we could have got both those guys for a lot less. |
no Cleverley, no more playing half fit players. ando, giggs in midfield with Rooney in hole to protect them when necessary. if Fletcher is good, maybe give him an hour alongside ando. ando should be good for a 90 minute shift after his extended holiday. |
too late mike. Rene stole the credit before you belatedly decided to toot your own horn. but dont worry, its likely the Norwich job is the best you can do for now anyway. |
http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/11/24/walking-dead-david-morrissey-dead-weight/ don't read if you haven't watched s04e07. |
saw this on a twd forum. What the heck was the point of having the governor and his little harem try to leave only to be turned back by a bunch of biters stuck in the mud? What, is there only one road around there or something? lmao |
