pls i need help urgently, my laptop was recently stolen from my room, btw am not in Nigeria. to cut the story short, the security outfit in charge of our residence have accepted to pay 4 it cuz it was their fault, but they said i must provide to the police, the receipt and the serial no. of the laptop b4 i could claim my laptop back, but unfortunately i dnt have the receipt nor the serial no. i have called everywhere but cant just get the receipt.

so i have decided now to do a framed receipt bearing an imaginary serial no. but my fear is is there a way they will get to find out that the serial no. is invalid. I have already told them it was bought in Nigeria b4 i came, what is the wise thing for me to do in this situation, pls i need una help urgently

are you high?? so what you wanna make up a serial number?? Old man, a serial number is not something you can formulate. the serial no of a laptop or computer

is unique to that system and that system only, let assume you succeed in making up a number, you honestly think the insurance company would not check

I tried once to get something going but the factors fighting the slim chance are too numerous for any thing to hold. The idea of taking anyone serious when the chances of that person being fake is just overwhelming.

Etihad Airways today announced the launch of flights to Lagos, the airline’s first destination in West Africa, from July 1, subject to regulatory approvals.

The direct flights will link Abu Dhabi and Lagos six times a week and will be operated by a two class A330-200 aircraft with 22 Pearl Business class and 240 Coral Economy seats.

Lagos becomes the 83rd destination in Etihad Airways’ global network and the return flights will create a new link between Nigeria, Africa’s third largest economy, and the United Arab Emirates.

Following the launch of services to the Seychelles in November 2011, Tripoli last month and Nairobi in April, the addition of Nigeria marks another milestone in Etihad Airways’ African expansion plans.

James Hogan, Etihad Airways President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “The launch of services to Lagos is consistent with our strategy of targeting areas of strong growth in emerging markets.

“The United Arab Emirates is a major trade partner of Nigeria, which has a population of more than 150 million people, the largest in Africa and the seventh biggest in the world.

“The country is rich in natural resources, such as oil and natural gas. Our new point-to-point services will strengthen the oil and gas links between the UAE and Nigeria and facilitate further growth in these industries.

”The country is also enjoying strong economic growth driven by significant foreign investment, particularly from China, which means there is increasing demand for travel between Lagos and other emerging economies.

“The Lagos schedule will provide seamless connections over Abu Dhabi to key North and Southeast Asian destinations and markets in the Indian Subcontinent and Australia.”

erm is this a laptop or a desktop, I am guessing that u have a graphics hardware issue or the lcd itself is bad, could be wrong though.

Then again what do you expect, check out the poverty index and the unemployed index of nigeria. That

It may be a hardware issue but just to be sure, go into ur bios and load default settings,

Help my Toshiba laptop with Windows vista , boot up and then goes to a blacked out screen with only the mouse pointer visible.

just before the problem I had been changing the power management settings, so i do not know if the problem are some how related

I have tried starting in safe mode

I have also tried adjusting screen brightness

After being switched off for a couple of days the windows log in screen briefly reappeared , but the black screen returned when someone tried to log in.

Any ideas?

just go straight to your manufacturer web site and download it from there

in most manufacturer you find drivers under support --- then drivers all you need to know is the model and the series within your model

on some you even find a software that you install and it tells you your model and series

My apologizes, I guess while typing that response, i was thinking that maybe he wouldnt knw the correct model for his computer

or maybe his computer was assembled or maybe just maybe his computer no longer has support from the OEMs. Nasty OEMs like

dell, sony and hp have that kind of issue,

OK try going into safe mode and see if you can see anything, if you can, then go to device manager, then look for display on the list.

right click and click on properties. delete the display driver and then restart your system, now if you are unable to see anything even after

booting into safe mode, then it is a hardware issue,

Search Driver scanner using google. download it. it is not free so u will need a key to activate. once fully activated,

you can run the program and it will find and install the missing drivers,
