you got that all wrong. my guy,

ADSL can never be 100mbps. it is 50mbps tops.

Cable Internet is not fixed wireless. its is internet gotten thru cable tv signals. talk of vsat and u will not be far away from it.

now, u have fiber optic which is 100mbps up & down. this is only avalibale in japan.

then yu have super fiber optic which is 1GB,

Nigeria is very far away from good internet speeds. using torrent software in nigeria is a joke. nitel has the power to change all that

even with its adsl but nooooooooooo, na to put money for pocket na him dem understand. rubbish,

actually, i have a 160Mbps download and 10mbps upload link in my house. ofcourse, when yu do a lit math and take

some technical terms into consideration like how close one is to the grid, modem used, ethernet adapter etc, then u

will discover that its a little bit difficult to get that true speed but at least its far far better than whats obtainable in nigeria.

actually, its in test run mode. it is freakin fast i must say ie at the local area connection level. ofcourse its

still has its glitches but those glitches will be solved soon. 

a satillite was drafted into space recently (last year i think)

delivering internet speed at the rate of 100Gbps. i suspect this has smt to do with the new innovation from here. more of those equipments will

be drafted and at some point on our lives, we will be sending and receving data at 1Gbps/sec.

pls note that this innovation supports both intranet & Internet data transmission.

i look forward to rubbing minds with you guys.

battery life?? honestly, little or no change. streamlining is more of memory and processor usage thingy.

if yu had a less powerful system, its would, its would be very benefiting. i think the only way to achieve more battery time

is to strip aero but then again, aero is the whole ideal (at least for me).

and yur sooooo correct, GMA 950 works better out of the box becos of how closely intel works with MS.

i hope they get it right, waiting to see yur reviews.

ok,  i get yur drift. first of all, i apologize for not revealing in detail how my test was conducted.

like i said earlier, i run a tweaked version of windows vista ultimate SP1 (TWEAKED: services reduction, Index, aero tweak with transparency still active,

windows features off, processor tweak etc). all these tweaks, i applied to windows 7 and this is basically how i came up with my conclusion (other test

inclusive). 

its funny though becos the problems i experienced with my desktop doesnt surface while using my netbook with windows 7 making me think that microsoft

optimized this OS for netbooks.

anyways, i respect yur technical background. keep blasting.

heres the deal, i dont run a vlite version. i trimmed my VISTA SP1 ULTIMATE by reducing services so that i only have 45 process. i did that becos i do a lot

of heavy stuff like playing game and HD editing. not forgeting photoshop.

u make me sound as if i dont knw what the heck i am talking about but its all good.

as technology grows, so does software and hardware requirements increase, i mentioned the WEI Score thingy becos

for God sake, i have very capable hardware so why is my graphics having a mere 5.4?? well thank God that u did correct yurself in a way saying that

windows 7 is a beta and drivers are still in puperty stage.

oooh for the record, i did my own tests and that how i came abt the conclusion that vista feels faster.

the fact that i didnt post the screenshot doesnt make me a liar. i wonder why one would make up first hand experience, thank you

there are so many good reviews about windows 7 ( how good it is and worth not))

but as someone has mentioned, i though windows 7 was going to be click open.

maybe its just me or my hardware (Core2Extreme 3.2ghz 8Gb ram, 300gb at 10,000prm, Ati 4870X2)

but windows vista feels faster than windows 7. this is my opinion.

the WEI score in vista is 5.9 for everything.

in windows 7?? kai, its like 5.4 for the lowest.

i think one should just wait for until the RTM comes out. also, i experience alot of bsods,

i hope they get it right this time

by the way bigrovar is soooo right, i stay within 700MB at idle times but then again ram is not an issue so thats fine,

well, u could start by not installing norton 360. i do use it. its good but complicated and it doesnt exactly does it job,

google malewarebytes. download. perform a scan and it will bring out all the yama yama. and then u can delete it.

yur problem is simple. two components may be missing. windows installer or netframework. these, u can get by going to windows update.

also, if that does work, check yur ACCOUNT status whether ur running as admin. try installing the software as admin or in safe mode.

do require a visa to visit. plus a confirmed hotel booking and air ticket.

its a very expensive place but if u knw yur way ard, its would be cheap.

This is exactly my point. if u dont have a visa before leaving whereever u are, and yu hold a nigerian passport, forget it. even the airlines have been told not to board anyone in that category, like u said well done to the nigerians who bleeped the process up


one more thing, if one wants to come to singapore, you also need a local contact to sign a particular document (unlike other countries which u can enter without even knowing anyone, The Singapore embassy requires that you have a local sponsor in singapore)

swintec, the truth is that if u dont have windows vista ultimate, u cannot change the language even though yu tried. also if u do have vista ultimate, u will have to download it from windows update. there is a way to hack the language packs to install on non ultimate machines but trust me, its disables a lot of features.

actually, i have played fifa 09. i have both fifa 08 and fifa09 on my pc.

2. The grass is much better i think (existence of improved grahpics like 3D grass)
3. it is much harder now to score which makes it more fun
4. the controls have changed but i changed mine back to the control keys i am familiar with
