And what if he looks haggard? I prefer a sickly Yaradua to a year of IBB. All of you should leave this man alone. When his body has had enough, no one will tell him to go and sit at home.

I think he still has a lil' spirit in him.

Ijebu girls are the best wife materials from someone named 'Lagos chic'?  huh
Since when did wifey material become so specific? Most men marry women they love. What else will I see on NL?
Let me add this to my book of supposed facts. All of you just speak with no statistical evidence. I tire for NL.
What qualities do Ijebu girls have that makes them better wives?

Now, what is this rubbish ehn? Hornets cannot kill me - I watched the game and how is it that we won 102-92 and CP3  and D. West each had 31 points? Why could they not put that much effort into beating other teams? Stojakovic had one amazing 3-pter like that. At the end of the game, Dallas Mavs refused to shake hands with New Orleans Hornets, A-40, what was that about?  angry angry angry Y'all beefing us now?  angry huh huh Posey was amazing as well.

I can't wait for Boston vs. Cleveland. May the better team win.

James Patterson - writes Thrillers and I have several reasons why I love his writing but I love his 'Alex Cross' and his 'Michael Bennett' series best.

Sidney Sheldon - I love his writing in suspense. I have several books that I love but 'Tell me your dreams', 'Nothing Lasts forever' and 'If tomorrow comes' are some of my best.

Awww, what's wrong with the hornets?

Well, take heart Moonstone, most teams have had their share of downfall this season, guess this is their turn.

But are they going to the playoffs? sorry I haven't been keeping up with my CP3.
Chiogo, my dear, is this not enough humiliation already? 5 weeks back they were almost 3rd, now they are struggling to avoid the Lakers.
Could they not have their fall at the beginning? Why is it now when it matters?
They are going to the playoffs, I am not looking forward to that.

A-40,
I hear Shaq is eyeing your team smiley how do you feel about that?

Moonstone,
I've just about given up on the Hornets. There's no passion or excitement on their part about heading to the postseason. And how long is Posey supposed to be out for?
Shaq and J. Kidd in the same team? Are they trying to have a senior team in the NBA or what?

As for Hornets, I about to give up myself. I am now throwing my full support behind Cavs. I refuse to let any team be the death of me. Between Man Utd and Hornets, they are competing to give me high blood pressure. I won't allow that. cry

Bamsyle:
2pac was great in his time . . . the reason he gets celebrated more than all other dead rappers combined together is that he worked harder than they did (evidenced by his post-humous hits) . . . he was real . . . he rapped about issues we can all relate with . . . in a generation of rappers who now rap jargons, why won't he be celebratedhuh

@Ibime

No wonder your name sounds like what the Yorubas call "Eran Ibiye" . . . you're so unwell . . .

2pac is one of the few rappers who can rap without having a song hook . . . and still come out great . . .

Tell me the hooks for "So Many Tears", "Life Goes On", "Ambitionz As A Ridah", "Breathin'", "Hennessy" and other hits were borrowed from Dave Hollister, Zapp & Roger and so on . . . you must be a buffoon . . .  grin

He borrowed beats from Dre and Dazhuh shocked Are you suffering from Autismhuh Since when did having someone produce your tracks become "borrowing"??

Yes . . . and that's what I've been on since . . . some of 2pac's verses may come off as baby raps to you . . . and that's because he was way too opinionated . . . he rapped from a highly opinionated mind . . . said thangs as they were without mincing words . . . or trying to impress his listeners with metas and wordplay . . . he said simple thangs that still made sense all the same.
I have searched and searched and Bamsyle, no one can put that in any better form than you have.
That's my whole issue with 2pac. He rapped about everyday circumstances. Let's not even go as far as 'Brenda's got a baby', 'Against all odds' and 'Me against the World'. Let's stick to the more popular songs such as 'Changes' and 'California love'. Anyone that can come and tell me that those are wack songs deserves to get their heads checked. Is it 'Unconditional love' you want to talk about? or is it 'Dear Mama'? Like where does one begin to decipher the kind of situations that 2pac portrayed with his music?
Even after his death, he still shines in his songs. After Biggie's death, I did not see that much legacy. Biggie was good, no doubt but I do agree that 2pac worked very very hard to get a Legacy such as this.
When people say that 2pac is over-rated cos he's dead, it angers me. Why is no one coming here to say Aaliyah is overrated? I am sure if those 2 were alive till date, the world of rap and hip hop would be much much more better.
Too political?? His Momma was a black panther his step-father a jailbird what else was he supposed to rap about? Bringing something new to the rap game? he is one of the reasons why rap is so popular around the world 2Pac was bigger than just rap when would you peeps realize that?
I have said it before and I'll say it again, people underestimate 2pac's role in rap music and it's insane. Fine, he didn't start rap but he's one of the only rappers that I know of who was willing to go out on a limb. Ghetto gospel for me showed that 2pac was willing to cross boundaries.
Naah i don't think 2pac is over-rated his subject matter is just so damned varied one minute he is rapping about riding on his enemies and the next he is talking about single parents before you hit the rewind button he is talking about social injustice and stuff he was the complete rapper who kept it real throughout he didn't spit the abstract shit most so-called lyricists rap about he lived what he spat compared to 99% of rappers that ever flowed on a mic
Thank you o! I tire. . . is there anyway I can translate this to Spanish? huh huh huh Maybe then, people would actually understand this stuff.

Tupac was good in everything till his heart stopped beating. He's just the epitome of everything solid
His style today has influenced many of the rappers and I dare anyone to go and repeat the fact that he's overrated to any rapper alive and see what they say.
One man's food is another man's poison.
Everyone is Elvis these days. . . Tupac, and recently as eldee mentioned, Jay-Z. who else is our wonderful Elvis likened to?

Only on NL do I hear things like this and it's a good thing everyone has their own opinion.

Oh gosh! Not again!

Firstly, who are those shouting M.I. is overrated? Y'all are just a bunch of haters. I think he's one of the best in Nigeria and because he's fresh, he has a lot of hype around him. You jealous people should leave M.I alone to his newly found success.

Secondly, those who are talking about Will Smith . . . in fact, I have nothing to say cos he's not even rated at all (under or over).

Lastly, who opens their mouth to say 2pac is overrated? As in what kind of cotton wool do you need to remove from your ears to hear his words? I feel like those who do not have the capacity to understand his lyrics would not know how to give him the proper respect he deserves. I am tired of arguing about this. I feel like this was settled on other threads. . . I can't shout.
