RomanceRe: . by Moonstone(f): 12:30pm On Jan 07, 2009
I know exactly how you feel. This is not uncommon among people who love each other. The excitement is out. You begin to feel like a married couple and whatever. There are different stages of this and EVERY couple experiences it. You've been with her for 4 years and you're not married to her. It's natural to feel kind of trapped in that kind of situation. I think it is more responsible to tell her how you're feeling than to let her go on thinking something else.

It's going to be the hardest thing you ever have to do but tell her you need a break of maybe at least 3 weeks. Also assure her that it's only her in your life and no one else. If during the break you decide you really do not want to be in the relationship anymore. Break it to her gently. In my opinion, the fire is dying out and if you don't reignite it now, you might find yourself almost hating her for "tying" you down which might lead to other consequences such as lying, cheating and a lot of other things.

Just think it through and think about it well. That's all i'm advising for now.

Kai, London sha! After all's said and done, its still good to know that there's a place you can somewhat identify with, even across the miles from home.

@ moonstone, I thot u were in US?
Yeah but i was on vacation in London. Just got back last night. I love London like crazy when I'm not staying too long.
TravelRe: Little Lagos In South London( Peckham) by Moonstone(f): 2:58am On Jan 07, 2009
I love Peckham to visit but not to stay. I think it's amazing to have a community of people you can call people from your own roots. I am sure it's a difficult place to live. I don't know why people are suffering themselves to come abroad only to come and suffer much more.
When I was in a hair salon there last week, one lady came in selling naija food and I felt so bad for her. I was sure this was a woman who had a pretty decent life back in naija only to come and be selling a pack of food for 3 - 5 pounds. It's very disheartening.
CultureRe: If Your Wife-To-Be Can't Cook by Moonstone(f): 2:44am On Jan 07, 2009
Na wa! A woman that can't cook can setting herself up for uncertainties. My friend's wife can't cook and somehow, they are very happy together eating her burnt stew and tasteless undone rice. It's not the end of the world. Just take her to a culinary school or something. There's more to marriage than good cooking.

As for Lai lai and his lakers, don't get too happy just yet. I see a further depression this year in your PCT.
