[quote author=Dazzlinganio post=75637411]BS !!!!!!! Team Feb but ported to the last day of Jan (31/1/19)
I bless the Lord for blessing my family with a beautiful baby girl. We got married 2016 Nov. I don’t stay in the same state with my hubby and it took me time to take in. The Doc kept telling me that since my husband isn’t here with me it can take us up to 2 years to conceive, I told him that my husband comes home every weekend and hasn’t missed one weekend before. Anyway God helped us and he was transferred back to where I stay, within 6months I took in against the one year we stayed without any sign of pregnancy. I started reading about ovulation and how to time it and we stopped timing sex because it started killing our sex life. My sisters out there who are trying to conceive and your husband isn’t around please don’t be overly worried and make plan to be with him at least 6months to 1year together before jumping into conclusions.
Fast forward to June 7 2018, I missed my period for a day and went straight to the hospital for a blood test coz I was tried of hoping and after a few days the period will show. So I went in for a blood test. I can remember how shocked I was when I picked up the result. What I have been praying for was right in front of me but I couldn’t express any emotion, it felt unreal I got to my car and was just praising God. My drive home was as if I was carrying eggs in my car lol, me that use to speed was just allowing ppl to pass. I was just smiling as cars drove by lol. That motherly love hit me instantly, I was carrying another life and I needed to adjust a lot of things from my driving style to what I eat etc it comes naturally I guess. My pregnancy was a smooth one. I didn’t have morning sickness or anything. I was strong and was doing all I use to do. At 3months I started my exercise routine which was dancing for 15-20mins everyday before I take my bath. Doing light squatting and lifting my legs to the side and rolling my waist all in the bid to be flexible and it helped, I did that until the day I gave birth.
Labor/ birth : on the 30th of Jan I saw a brown discharge just like what you will see after your period. I called my mum and she was like that’s your show, hope your bags are ready and other sign please head to the hospital, I called my Doc he told me to time my contractions which I did and I went about my day. I just decided to make my hair at home immediately though my Edd was Feb 13th I just felt this can come any time since I was already 38weeks. At night around 11.30pm the contractions were very intense and were coming frequently and we headed to the hospital. On getting there the Doc on duty had to check how many cm I have dilated omg that was painful I wouldn’t lie. I kept telling them where are the Epidural team. Anyway they took me to the labor room and before I knew it the contractions were getting stronger and painful. The Epidural was inserted and relief came. Mothers out there please use Epidural to relief pain it works. I labored from 11.30pm till 7.25am and my beautiful princess came forth. Once I saw her I was overjoyed. The joy of motherhood. What I enjoy the most is looking at her facial expression when she is breastfeeding. I Thank God for his faithfulness.[/qote] Thank God for a successful delivery congratulations |

Ejika48: Final part Sorry my story is so long na wetin baba God do me I can't hide it. The d day came on the12 o'clock 23rd of January I couldn't breathe well I was having serious contractions, I couldn't move at all I was just holding d wall n whistling NB. I'm at the church now I wouldn't want people to know so anytime anybody is coming I would just pretend and greet the person normally and go back to my whistling.Dh said I should let's go to the clinic but because of my experience I said no that if I get there now they will tell me rubish again (see me testing God) that I will wait till 5oclock. By 5 :30 we got to the clinic but to my surprise.... immediately I was about entering the clinic the contractions stopped again. (Devil is a lair ) then the usual happened again . Then I noticed the baby wasn't breathing and moving well so I told d Dr listen to the baby's heartbeat n behold the heartbeat was so slow. So Dr quickly reffered me to another hospital n when we got there d doctor looked at me and went to hospital office (wether e go consult Oracle me I don't know I shall wan to carry my baby) he came out n told them that this woman is in labor na everyone was surprised then I sighed n said at least one person believe me now so he set drip n injected something inside n GBAM!!! I started seeing holy Mary! My people real labor startedI was screaming holy Mary! Jesus! My dh! Olorun oshoffa! Oluijo mimo! In 15 minutes d Dr came n burst my water bag I was feeling as if I want to poo / fart/wee then I shouted DR MO FE YAGBE O. I WILL REMOVE THIS DRIP O! MA YAGBE SI IBI BAYI O! The I was willed to d labor room I was asked to push n love n behold my handsome king came out screaming to the world! Weighing 3.9 kg. Then the placenta... The Dr asked me not to push cos d placenta was almost as big as d baby in d next 10 second it came out it was sooooooooo big. On sighting d baby dh n I just started crying cos he was sooooooooo handsome n fair! God b praised for those waiting on d Lord for fruit f d womb may God grant ur heart desires dis year will not pass u by....cappo besea and January crews I submit my BS. Till 2022. I don laugh tire with your drama congratulations mama Ejika48 |

Dazzlinganio: Good morning team February. To God be the glory, my Edd was 13th Feb but I gave birth yesterday 31st Jan. I was 38weeks 2days. I am a FTM and I am advising all pregnant women out there that it is not easy and if you can afford Epidural please use it coz it really helped with my pain. I don’t know how it would have been without Epidural. Be at last I give God the praise because Child birth is a miracle. My fellow team feb and all other pregnant mothers I wish you all a safe delivery. And again don’t be afraid. I was afraid to be given a tear during child birth but I didn’t feel a thing and now in my recovery stage it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Just keep your mind open and believe that you can do it. God is a miracle worker. wow....congratulations |

Chithejoyfulmom: bs so it was a planned pregnancy, so around march 2018 I removed my Iucd and we began to plan for a baby boy. we followed the billings method and by grace of God I concieved. I knew from day one that I was pregnant. I didn't experience any morning sickness unlike my first pregnancy. I was just feeling sleepy althrough.fast forward to 15weeks I became down with malaria plus and typhoid which caused me to spend 2weeks in the hospital. Every other thing went smooth until I became so tired and depressed from being pregnant at 39 weeks, moreover my leave had started reading and baby was still chilling. I ate dates, pineapples, I took long walks,I climbed stairs,I gave my nanny one week off and I took care of my 2yo while working from home too.all in all no show. I had plenty kpekus with eh such that if sperm de finish him own for finish. at 40 weeks I was fed up, my mom wasn't helping my serenity, she cared too much, she would call every 5mins because I had a false labor the previous week.so I decided to off my phone and rest. my gynea scheduled me for induction after carrying out a membrane stretch on me. on the 16 my boss called and said he was very sick that I should just go to court to help him plead for an adjournment, over Sabi me started telling him that I can handle the matter since we both drafted and prepared it together, so my dear sisters I started driving down from festac to apapa high court in my mind I wanted to act supper woman before being induced the following day. I go to court and lo and behold immediately I stood up to answer to the judge my water broke.Everyone saw it,and in that position I had to plead for adjournment and contraction started in full force. I called dh and he was far,so a good guy helped drive me back to festac to my hospital. my hospital bag was already in my car, so immediately I reached I was checked but still 3cm and contraction was coming in full force.the gynea inserted misoprostol 50mg inside me, I didn't feel anything until 8pm, after another 5omg was inserted, my madness began,I saw hell and I came back. the contraction was strong and coming back to back, eh was massaging my back while I was in pain and seriously shouting untop of my voice, chai I was in turmoil but God pass labor. at 12am on the 17th I was 8cm but baby's head has already dropped totally. I entered the labor room fully dailated with strong painful contractions,I pushed once with every thing in me and my son came out weighing 3.1kg without tear. I started crying because I was relieved,I was shouting thank you doctor, thank you nurse. all to the glory of God.. safe delivery to all pregnant women, baby dust to those trying to conceive, strength to mom's who stay awake all night. we all are supper women. to my January teamies you guys rock. congratulations to you mama you are indeed a super woman, please i would like to ask which hospital are you using in festac and any review on emel hospital festac will be well appreciated? thanks |

jflobaby: BS
Long post alert!!! Please manage my write up
I got married to my DH in June of 2017 and our marriage came under serious spiritual attack, by the time we were 6 months into the marriage it was so bad that we contemplated divorce, by January of 2018 the marriage was practically over and i returned to my aunt's place as my parents were not resident in Lagos. All through this time getting pregnant was the last thing on my mind, working on my marriage if possible was all i was bothered about. While at my aunt's place i decided to seek answers and every pastor or prophet said the same thing - it was a spiritual battle. Some gave strange solutions but i made my mind to hand it over to Jesus as if he cannot resolve it, then no man can. Decided to go to mfm prayer city for prayers and then the road to reconciliation with hubby began, by April i was back to the house. First week of May, i felt sick at work and went to the hospital, doctor asked for my lmp, i thought it meant last day i saw my last period instead of the first day i saw my last period, so the date i gave him made him rule out the possibility of me being pregnant as my period at the time was just a day late which was normal to me. He asked me to do malaria and typhoid test which i did and he gave me malaria drugs.
I took the drugs that night but before taking it, i read the leaflet where it specifically said the drug was not suitable for pregnant women, shortly after taking it, i started vomiting. The following morning i decided to take a pregnancy test at home with the strip before taking the drugs again and it was positive. I rushed back to the hospital and the carried out another test with my blood and result was positive. The female doctor i met said the malaria test i did the previous day showed i did not have malaria, i wondered why the doctor prescribed malaria drugs then. I was then given routine drugs and asked to do a scan at 8 weeks.
When DH got the news he broke down in tears because unknown to me while we were apart and he met some pastors for prayers, one of the pastors told him not to bother going back to our marriage that i will be unable to have my own children, he was really bothered about it and his agreement with God was that he needed me to get pregnant as a confirmation from God that it was truly his will and he was on the right track. And God did it when i wasn't even expecting or trying.
It was a smooth pregnancy, though was vomiting during the 1st trimester and lost a lot of weight as i could barely eat and whatever managed to go in would come out via vomiting. Second trimester was better, no stress until when the devil tried to rear his ugly head. I was only leave at the time and had been indoors all through, then i decided to go out to get maternity clothes as my clothes could no longer fit, on my way back home, the bus i took was on high speed while ascending the iyana oworo bridge (for those who stay in Lagos) before now, i had the urge to tell the driver to reduce the speed and just before this thought left my mind, there was a loud sound, the front tyre had burst and the driver had lost control of the bus, we were swerving from left to right and the bus made for the side of the bridge as if was going to fall off the bridge, but was prevented by the culvert, the force with which the bus hit the culvert made the bus tumble and then it stopped. We all rushed out, the conductor was in critical condition, the passenger who sat by me had a deep cut on her arm, other passengers had various degrees of injury but God preserved me and i came out unhurt. While waiting for the Rapid Response team and the Lagos State Accident and Emergency ambulance, seeing that i was pregnant, one of the passerby gave me a lift, i rushed to the hospital to carry out scan and everything was fine.
Fast forward to when i was 37 weeks, i bought date and had started walking a lot, couldnt eat the date as i did not understand the taste, i also took Queen's pineapple, my next appointment with the gynae was at 38 weeks, by the time i got to the hospital (private), i was told they had finished antenatal for the day and the gynae had left, (i did a lot of trekking on this day) so i went back home saying i would see him at 39 weeks, that night around past midnight, a sharp menstrual like pain woke me up and when i stood up from the bed i felt water dripping down my legs, i woke my DH and like a jjc that he is, he started panicking. I remembered a BS i read here and the mama also saw water my midnight, she waited till morning before going to the hospital so i showed it to DH to calm him down. I could not go back to sleep as i started feeling the contraction pain and was using the contraction app to time it. They were bearable and 6-7mins apart. I got to the hospital around 8am and the doctor came to check me to see how far dilated i was. Oh! how painful it was, i just kept screaming, he said i was 2cm that he will check back by 12noon.
By 12noon, he said i was 3cm, they will come back in the evening to check, all these while i was gisting with mum and mil, and would pause when the contraction hits again, it was painful but i could bear it, the nurse kept telling me it was child's play compared to what was to come. By 6pm a female doctor came to check and said it was still 2cm and asked if i would rather go home and return later. I said no, so she said she would give pain reliever and antibiotics because of the fluid i saw earlier. The pain reliver made me really dizzy and i was able to sleep for few hours. By the time the effect of the pain reliever was gone, i started feeling the original contraction pain. God! It messed up my mind/brain. I kept counting from 1 to 10 in my mind just to distract myself from the pain until the pain was over while still breathing in and out with my mouth. This was after midnight and i kept looking at the time and pacing about, i could not lie down because it seemed like the contractions got worse while lying down. I was tired, in pains, couldnt seat for long, knelt on the floor just to get comfortable , for where! Ijust kept praying for it to be morning already. By 6am the following day 10th of January, a nurse came to check fetal heart beat and i asked her if i could be given pain reliever, she said no o, that do i want to start all over again, i should not take any pain reliever bla bla bla. I asked if the doctor will come check me, she said yes, so i waited for the doctor.
By 8am, the doctor checked and said i was 6cm and he wants to burst my water to fasten the process, he tried but i just kept screaming and he couldnt do it, so he let me go saying by 12noon it should have burst on its own, i pleaded with him to give me pain reliever which he did and i was able to rest for a while. By 12 noon i was checked again and was 8cm, the doctor was able to burst my water and i didnt feel pain for some minutes and was able to lie down. They picked my things and asked myself and my mum to move to the delivery room, when the contraction pain returned i was crying, as the counting of numbers was no longer working and my mind was just a mess, at a point, i told my mum i wanted to poo poo and she rushed to call the doctor, he came checked me and said it wasnt yet time to push, i should hang on a little and he was giving lectures on how he wanted me to push and the number of pushes he expected for the baby to come. I pleaded with him not to leave me alone in the delivery room, so he waited, few minutes later he gave me the go ahead to push with every contraction that hits me. I tried my best kept pushing, after about 4 pushes he said he was going to tear me, which he went ahead with, i kept pushing but baby was not coming out, he said the baby needed to come out immediately because its not safe for him to remain in the position where he was at the time. We continued no show by this time, the doctor was worried and kept asking what the problem was, the nurse and my mum started praying and the nurse was pressing my tommy as well. Finally my baby came out and he was placed on me for like 5 secs before he was whisked away to be attended to.
They put some tubes in his nose and mouth to suck out liquid and turned him upside down, rubbed his body downwards and tapped his buttocks as he was not crying, he finally cried. The doctor delivered the placenta, told me he was going to inject me so i wont feel it while he was stitching me up, i didnt feel any pain and the stitches were neatly done. That was how my DS was born by past 2 weighing 2.75kg with tear.
BS Submitted: Cc:Cappo Besea you are so lucky meeting this kind of doctor very patient and understanding because not all doctor will admit to giving you pain killer for stitching up your tear Congratulations to you |
