naijacutee:Can everyone "see" the reasoning of this apologist? Most of them come up with the same line. |
@walata44 What economic good will non deregulation of the oil sector do? Please tell me how =N=52,000.00 minimum wage help the majority of Nigerian on the street, who are not bribe-taking-goverment employees like these labour trekkers? Again, what was/is the benefit of previous increases on the generality of the citizenry? Walata s'ora e o (be careful) If they want to demonstrate against their employer must they compell everybody on the road to join them? And please tell me how that rally amount to a freedom struggle? |
Midas02, Thanks for the info. I however have this issue with mechanic/technician requirements. Though the hiace has been around in Nigeria a while, but the model now in use require much more than the typically available technicians to handle: These are the 2005 to date verson. They are called hummer bus here. They require some level of hightech attention for repairs if you want the best. Also, I am going to be running the vehicles on the Lagos-Abuja and Lagos-Eastern routes. And the one thing that seem to be obtained with the hummer (even the LWB version) is that over the distance the ACs' are switched off so that the passengers now believe that the A/Cd adverts is just a haox. Besides, is there no way I can get auto professionals that can handle the American buses. I really am not afraid to patronize competent hands, I am a professional too. I still long for more advice/info please! |
KunleOshob:This morning at about 10.20am local time KunleOshob:Don't deregualate oil sector, =N=52,000.00 minimum wage. Every other talk is mask. @poster, Lagos did not stand still for NLC; Ikorodu road and adjoining road were forced into a turtuous (and expensive in some cases) stand still. I was in a commercial bus on that route at the time and I know that that rally was not a popular one. I mean people were forced to drive behind the NLC procession. I personally saw a youngman, driving a toyota camry car with some elderly occupants, assaulted by the NLC demostrators for attempting to pass through the line on the service lane. |
Hi NLders. I want to "go into" the commercial inter state transport biz and I am wondering which of the more common minibuses to use. I have examined the the Toyota hiace "hummer bus" (which is the most common in use today in on the Lagos route, and most "in vogue" , and have also examined the Chevrolet express 3500 (2002) model and the Ford transit range. In terms of passenger comfort I like the American minibuses: both have greater leg room and I think their ac is better at the back. My headache is the economic part. Which is is more economical in terms of fuel consumption, durability and maintenance. Please I need advice. Should I go for the Toyota or for the Chevy or Ford? |
Now Ibori has become his enemy. He's now afraid of been dealt with in the same manner OBJ's (real and perceived) enemies were dealt with. I think his likes contributed their quota in corrupting Nigeria to this extent. |
And the worst that happened to Ribadu was that he lost his job with NPF. Nobody jailed/detained him and he was able to leave the country again. Anyone who understands how thing had been run in Nigeria knows that El-Rufai cannot subject himself to anti-corruption probe and come out totally free if the authority is determined to nail him. I think Ribadu knows this also and that's why he's afraid to come to Nigeria. RICHIE BOI:What was El-Rufai? |
A bit of OBJECTIVITY please! If El-Rufai is innocent of corruption charges let him return to Nigeria to answer to the ones being "peddled". The Nigerian judiciary is better than it used to be. However a little rewind will tell us that El-Rufai started off as Atiku's boy. ![]() |
plesky:Plesky you obviously don't understand how things work around here. People will pay bribe to obtain approval for a foundation that may destroy them in the future. When people (ignorantly or otherwise) choose to break the law at their own peril why should govt bother itself until it is ready to act. If the people affected do not have valid documents they can only appeal to the govt for consideration. It's a pity. You cannot expect compensation if you don't have valid documents. |
bumajj:You just about fall into the same class as ireport here with this kind of post: you have castigated every member of RCCG and insinuated that the G.O does not teach the true word of God. Who told you that every RCCG member is as shallow minded as ireport on matters like this? @penfold. Sorry o! But did the affected people check at Alausa to know if the land was excised for the Itedo community before buying or they relied only on publications; do they have, properly, fully govt approved building plan? If yes then the govt will have to pay some compensation if it goes ahead to demolish the buildings. But if not, like it is the case with so many of the lands bought from omoniles in that axis, then the 'building" owners have already put themselves at the mercy of the government. They can only appeal to Fashola for consideration for economic reasons. Frankly I don't think that that there are serving commissioners among the affected property owners make land legit. In fact an omonile will give plots to a political heavyweight/office holder/police/military officers for little or nothing in the hope that that will make it easier for them to obtain exicion on the land or compell the government to over look the land. |
P of P:And because he "tried and improved the the country in a lot of ways" he's now free to go break the law? That, I suppose that breaking the law he will be contributing a lot more to improving the society, abi? ![]() The baba should be arrested and prosecuted. That will be justice! . Not sentimentP of P:Now that's why you cannot see the effect that breaking law by someone of his social stature and not being prosecuted for it will have on the nation! Nosense apologetic. |
Tasma:Convoluted! (big english I no sabi) I did not say Jesus came to amend the laws, the bible does not say so; and Jesus did not say so. Jesus pointed out that MOSES (not God) made certain laws to curb what could have been the excesses of the Israelites because they were stiff necked people. Moses did not design the tabernacle and the altar in it, he impletemented the design God gave to him. The same goes for the order of conduct on and around it. May be you should take time to meditate on the aspects of the laws. Women lib, as popular with the world, was not championed by christian women. Christian women only adopted it. Yet God did not create the woman to be a slave. |
alfredpoto:What kind of sign will you then be asking God for? You want Him to break your (loving) heart or what?! alfredpoto:Is that what you saw in the Bible? I fear you missed it there. The whole story of Isaac and Rebecca is in Gen. 24, read from verse 11 - 24. You will see how wrong you are. |
But Kobojunkie you dey try o! See all the time and effort you put in to make stone hearted fellows like biina think straight on this issue. Don't you know how to just give up on such people and let them wallow in their own ill thoughts. Boy! you are trying! 3 pages of posts. |
I read this thread just to see if those who are responding are Christians or try to defend Jesus. And my fear is confirmed "serious" christians are the respondents and people are trying to defend the Lord Jesus. Brethren learn: this Atheist and Jesus bashers don't deserve any response when they come in the manner of mazaje's post. I have been in such circle before, so I know what I am saying. You cannot possibly defeat them with the truth that you are convicted of. They waste their life on researching into what fault they can find with the bible and/or Jesus than you spend studying the bible. And they read a lot. And God does not need anyone to defend him. The longest anyone can live in doubt is to the day of his death, After that the reality will follow. This I know: no one losses anything serious by following the Lord Jesus and confessing Him |
KunleOshob:Kunle! Kunle!! I no warn you? REAL TRUTH:What's your problem now? Was it not the same Thisday that first published the story? REAL TRUTH:Have you ever heard of Pastor Adeboye calling a press conference to debunk any false allegation before? Even they said he supported OBJ's 3rd term bid the most the baba did was to say casually on the pulpit that he makes his disapprovals privately known to OBJ and that he does not get involved in public criticsm. @poster. Please insert the Thisday link to the fresh report. |
Though it may make us sound lazy at thinking and judging to some people, but it is better when the one who made you "presently" directs you on who he will rather have you marry (And the waiting, in fact, is the greater challenge: it's a tough task). At least if there arises any storm you can be sure that what you have is bread and stone, fish and not serpent and the storm will get over. Of course its no sin to make your own choice, but I boldly insist that God reveals ones spouse (even unbelievers experience such divine guidance. They call it intuition). |
lynxnoon:Thanks. That's been my concern. |
Tasma:You've forgotten that that was before the coming of the Lord Jesus, and one the reasons he came was to ensure that such things don't continue to happen. He showed the superior God's opinion in such matter when dealing with issue of the woman caught in adultery. |
Tasma:I don't know where you are coming from, faithwise, friend. But God could not have been ignorant in future (the present), that future is not however necessarily His desire. God had stated what is good or man form the beginning. The present situation that run counter to His instructions as laid out in Bible is just a continuation of man's rebellion. We cannot be wiser than our creator. Simple. However the woman is not made the slave of the man. But the roles are different. I suppose that is because He that made us knows what capability He has put in each one of us. |
That double entry post there is not deliberate. The NL server timedout thee 1st time so I had to resend. The speed of this damn connection won't let me see the entire page. I wanted quote the poster before me.Anyway, going to their office, ladies and gentlemen, will not result in improved signal and speed. That company is simply exploiting our helplessness. I'm thinking of checking out the multilinks blue (or whatever they call it) |
So much for reactivation. I've been using for like 4yrs (cdma to evdo), the don't get any better. The occasional good performances are just periods of luck: they don't last. The evdo I currently use took almost 2 months with a lot of shouting on the phone and their Ikeja office to activate. Service wise forget it. Even inside their Ikeja office most times you only have 1x signal on your evdo card. The EVDO signal is just always not there. So most times in Areas like Anthony Maryland and Ikeja you'll be on 1x and not broadband anything. From the beginning of this week things have gotten worse that it took over two & half hours to get a mail sent. Believe me starcomms is bad news. I've learnt only not to get worked up so that I will live long. I've not changed because of the feelers from visafone and co users that I know is not encouraging |

Looks to me like the NLC is selfish and somewhat incapable of learning from experience. 1. What %ge of Nigerians of working age regular salary jobs? What will happen to the vast majority who are either self employed, employed in the informal sector or outrightly unemployed when rent and other prices start to go up as a result of this increase they are demanding? 2. What was the effect of previous increases? Did it make life better for their members? I think they instead should be fighting for policy measures that will make life more affordable at the present rate: infrastructure that will make the cost of production in Nigeria cheaper, improving the value of the naira. Policies that will increase the purchasing power of what they presently earn without killing those who will not benefit from this their demand. |
There is actually an alert on the interswitch home page on this fraud at this moment. It says the site is fake. People don't ordinarily go visiting Interswitch website so most people in this country might just be as ignorant of the alert on the authentic Interswitch website as I was until a few minutes ago; and my bank has not alerted me. |

Yes after Adam God said he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtains favour from God. Part of the fruits of that favour is the divine guidance you receive from God in the choice of person to marry. OK sis poster: If you look onto Him he will guide you, and even reveal your spouse to you. Mind you God never disappoints those who submit to His superior wisdom. Jehoshaphat could have sought for allies against his enemies. Caution though. In this matter is best that you seek God yourself and not go to any man of God. You can easily be misled. |
Jakumo:I think you are what your name is. To be dreaded and not to be taken seriously on matters like this. |
Re: Pastor Adeboyes's Private Jet A Must Read « #83 on: Yesterday at 05:39:31 PM » Mowire your question is a legitimate one. Why should anyone care where Pastor Adeboye gets his money ? I'll tell you why we care, as illustrated by only the most recent example. It is a matter of public record that ex-president Obasanjo and his cronies recently stole 16 billion US dollars that SHOULD have been used to provide Nigeria with grid electricity. If that theft had not occurred and the money was utilized for its intended purpose of reviving Nigeria's dead industrial sector with much needed electrical power, nobody would have cared in the slightest what Obasanjo did with his personal funds. Tragically, the theft of 16 billion dollars DID occur, and with no consequence to the perpetrator whatsoever, thereby condemning Nigeria to yet more years of empty promises and abject, debilitating poverty, so it is entirely understandable and logical that the 200 million victims of that epic crime would be ABSOLUTELY ENRAGED to hear of Obasanjo donating even a dime of his stolen money to a jet-setting, filthy rich pastor, or anyone else for that matter, while defiantly thumbing his nose at the very notion of justice and loot recovery. I hope this answers your question. Jakumo! I don't know how you expected the above to answer my question. PLEASE tell us where you got the story that Obasanjo donated/contributed to buy the jet for RCCG Becommrich frankly you made my day. I've read your more recent posts from pg3 and again I am "comforted".Don't have much time on my hand now. Later |
I wonder why the likes of Jakumo make unsubstantiated claim that Pastor Adeboye takes money or gift from the corrupt politicians of this country. Does the fact that Pastor Adeboye was seen in the company of Ibori at an event (or that the latter even ever go to RCCG camp) mean that Adeboye hob nob with him or take gifts from him? People like Jakumo & co cannot find it possible that Pastor Adeboye has always told the church at different fora how he had refused or dealt with gifts from people with questionable source of income. Be that as it may. In as much as anyone mortal may want to shrivel at the judgement of the RCCg to acquire a private jet, I do believe that the name callings I have seen on this forum on this subject is very much uncalled for. ( This is not for Jakumo and the likes who seem to be beyond reason livid, whatever their reason). |
, and have also examined the Chevrolet express 3500 (2002) model and the Ford transit range.

Becommrich frankly you made my day. I've read your more recent posts from pg3 and again I am "comforted".
