I think Soludo should have set his eyes on the Presidency. Plan and package himself well. His candidacy would fly better than most (if not all) the SEtners presently on that road with most parts of Nigeria. After all, he played at the federal level of the nation's economy. This his (degenerated) governorship ambition, for me, speaks volume as to his self confidence to achieve result or handle affairs. Looking like the man does not feel competent enough to (have?) handle(d) matters that affect an entire nation. Just my tut. I hope he will be competent enough to handle Anambra if he becomes gov. |
lagerwhenindoubt:Sorry Sir/Ma, >:( The above holds true only for you and Your fathers' house!!!!! NONSENSE ![]() |
@lastpage, are you the same as Jakumo? |
I can hazard a guess as to the fate that awaits those scheming to acquire the banks 100%: The storm will settle and the shareholders will go court and a Savannah bank similarity will likely come up. Some people will end up having the last laugh. For God's sake, why would Sanusi want to sell other peoples' property!!! Na craze? Me think its reasonable to agree with Vanguard. But the devilish plan will backfire! |
@naijaking 1. How many times do you need to be told that there is EIA report with recommendations for preliminary work b4 dredging? If I were a NDtan I would probably bear arms on account of the impact the dredging of the Niger will have on my environment if recommended preliminary measures are not taken first. You are looking at the kind of disaster that can render the ND totally uninhabitable. Should homelessness be added to the social and infrastructural backwardness of the average NDtan? As for chief Tompolo, the soundness of the reasoning can hardly reasonably be argued. The motive and antecedent of generality of MEND personalities are, however, not unquestionable. I think their brothers who are reaping benefits from the centre should be dealt with to silence first. Afterall charity, they say, (should) begins from home. |
In the part of Yoruba land (in Ondo state) where I come from it is common practice for an elder to put pieces of food (or cola or even drinks) into the mouth of younger ones, and women, during common social celebrations. This feeding practice has nothing ritualistic or fetish about it, it is a pure cultural non religious practice. It usually connotes an acceptance-honor/respect attitude on the part of the offering elder and the receiving junior. And the pix is old news and real. I think people can try not to be as trivial as this post. |
Hi. Please kindly help me out with this VIV: 1FBSS31L21HB34593 |
@FARAMADE, Please kindly help me on the following VIN: 1FBSS31L21HB34593 Thanks |
Why the confusion?! 1 (standard) plot = 60ft x 120ft = 669m2(approx.) 1 Acre = 6 plots It used to be 1 plot = 50 x 100ft. in Nigeria.I guess that stopped in the 70s. It is general language and half-informed professionals that use plot loosely to mean any delineated parcel of land. But as far as real property is concerned the above holds true. Anything higher is the surveyor wounding seller, anything less is wounding the buyer. |
audio:What kind of "a Christian", really are you? It looks to me like you are reacting to the caption and not the content of the post. That is why you made such sweeping condemnation. If I were you I will guard my salvation far more jealously so that the accuser will not have such against me as bearing false witness (it looks as weighty as murder). May be you can just go over the post again and also investigate the person of Pst Adeboye more closely. We may not agree with all of his styles but we should be cautious of the intent and manner of our comments on peolple like him. Hey, @Jakumo have your fun . I have a strong feeling that you are not as mischievious (bad) as you portray yourself, so I see you in that light as of one just having fun. But once again the man's name is ENOCH ADEJARE ADEBOYE. |
@Topsy25 How many people did you share your meal with today? Okay, how many poor people in the church have you invited to live in your house til they are able to fend for themselves? It's so easy to be a critic. That there are areas that we feel the church should concentrate more effort on does not mean that the areas the GO is tackling, or his style of tackling them, should be ignored or condemned seeing (at least from my own perspective) that they are necessary for the vision of the church. @Tudor, you should know that I won't want to reckon with people like you so much on a subject like this. |
Chiddysville:Sorry. Did you say you read the post? How come you did not see that the LESS PRIVILEDGED IN THEIR MIDST are not expected to be members of the club? Guess you need to be far more patient and reflect a little bit more before reaching some conclusion that may not Glorify the Lord. May be for the sake of the brethren who are unneccessarily outraged (because of the caption), one is tempted to point out that it is more sensible to to have the very rich in the church bear a substantial portion of the development cost of the church than to Tax the whole church, of which the "less Priviledged" are in the majority, endlessly. The kind of arrangement reported in the post has always been in the RCCG (in the time of Pst Adeboye as GO at least). There has always been the Convenant Partners project that is in various arms and involved different areas of the church's life: Convenant partners in prayer is one of them, in which your money does not matter. As for looters being large contributors to the church through this sort of arrangement: 1) I feel sorry for those who are too "POOR" to see that you can be a multi-millionaire so comfortable as to be capable of doling out tens of million of any denomination regularly without being a Treasury Looter, or any criminal of any sort. (I'm yet to hear of which treasury people like Bill Gates looted, and I'm yet to see any looter as rich as him) 2) This good man has always shared testimonies of refusing money/donations from questionable sources. claims without rebuttals. See how this thread is growing? After, they will say the man is not a Legend ![]() |

I doubt the this story. But if it is true I prostrate beg Tinubu to please not give the enemy reason rejoice over this one good thing happening in Nigeria. It would be political suicide. Though it will not consume BRF, but the same cannot be said for Tinubu and organised opposition in SW and Nigeria. It is only with Fash's record that the AC will ever be able conquer SW. And if this story is a malicious falsehood originated by the poster and his associates (if any) to cause confusion and create disaffection b/w the 2, MAY THUNDER STRIKE THAT YOUR COMPUTER (ko baa je laptop or dt or mainframe) and may mysterious fire consume your fingers. |
@sagamite, I beg to disagree with these: Sagamite:A lot is wrong with it. It is more a Unitary constitution than a Federal constitution. We need to have a True Federal republic. Sagamite:I'm afraid that we will just have 1000 more political tools to stop prominent political opposition candidates cooking up fake allegation if need be and clearing their masters' candidates no matter how corrupt. |
I see those voting for corruption are in the majority. But let's ponder a bit while longer. CORRUPTION! Yes it's the most popular "sloganed" (from slogan) Nigeria problem. But is it a self-generating problem(does not have a cause)? I say NO! IT HAS CAUSES; IT IS AN EFFECT!. It is a result a result of many and varied systemic faults: the political nature of our nation, greed, selfishness, planlessness of former leaders (starting from Gowon). @Uchebobo, you see I disagree with your defintion of Nigeria. NIGERIA is a country of many NATIONS made (created) by God and (FORCIBLY) JOINED/UNITED/WED together by Western colonialists, and the majority of the people are trying make the marriage work despite all distractions (corruption inclusive). GOD DID NOT CREATE NIGERIA, GOD PERMITTED ITS CREATION. The colonialists did the creating for their own good not the citizens. And unfortunately the Military rulers and their political co-travellers have perpetuated this colonialists' intents by Creating for us Constitutions which are premised on their own good and not the good of the entire citizenry: constitutions that had encouraged and is still encouraging corruption. The kind of federal constitutions and federation we have know where the centre is the almighty, capable of forcibly appropriating your father's farmland and diatributing the proceed almost equally, on the basis of some evil quota to the rest of the federating units some of which are places where their fathers are not ready to cultivate the land God has cos the yield will not be as big as your father's land, CAN ONLY BID CORRUPTION. It has given birth to majority of politician/"leaders" who are loyal only to themselves and not even to their fathers' houses. CORRUPTION: How deep is it in our system? I say very deep! I believe that we will all agree that Mummy's spending of 75% of cooking/food fund on food/cooking and 25% on her petty personal needs is Misappropriation (corruption), same as inflating school bills to get some extra ("unacceptable" allowances. Every office, private & public in the land is involved.CORRUPTION! How long will it take to eliminate it. I say ETERNITY. The developed economies are still fighting it daily (the news report of trials and investigations are evidences). So are we going to wait till that long for there to be improvement in the land? I say NO. Lets take our leadership/rulership as is. What is having the worst effect on the citizenry? LACK OF/INSUFFICIENT STABLE STEADY INCOME. And that in itself is one of the major primary causes of widespread corruption. What will change the income situation? EMPLOYMENT (adequate and proper), BOTH FORMAL & INFORMAL (self or wage earning). Who will provide the Employment? CERTAINLY NOT GOVT (oversized civil service = greater bereaucracy + redundancy = Corruption)! SURVIVING AND SUCCEEDING PRIVATE SECTOR BUSINESSES (formal and informal). What will make businesses succeed in modern economy? I adequate and functional infrastructure, security and stable political atmosphere and policies. What are the major infrastructural problems that have the most direct impact on businesses today? I say, POWER, ROAD/TRANSPORT. The Yoruba will say "t'ebi ba ti kuro ninu ise ise buse (take hunger out of problem/suffering/poverty, the situation is solved)". Provide adequate stable POWER the industries will run; provide adequate ROAD/TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE, there will be easy movement and Trading will thrive. The result will be more EMPLOYMENT. Poverty will drop cos income will increase: Then more people will have time for the grammar of Anti-corruption, Custitution amendment public hearing, Popular mass movement against corrupt govt & policies. SUMMARY: Of the post list, to acheive result starting from now, I will present priorities as follows: Uninterrupted Power Supply Social Amenities (Roads, Water) Communication Industries / Currency Regulations Oil/ Petroleum Challenges Agriculture Spending and deficit Injustice I did not put corruption cos the present majority in the political class and the govt cannot and will not sincerely fight corruption. Also corruption will drop if the policies are such that the economy is private sector driven. Most other things will fall into place with a Proper Federation structure in place. |
"It is difficult to meet Mallam Nuhu Ribadu without having some sort of likeness for him." Those who have met the evil genius IBB said (say) the same. |
Alright. ![]() |
larimo:Though not directed at me. I'm not sure any professional can give you any useful answer for this kind of blank question. The quote/estimate has to be based on what you have as your architectural design/details. An estimator/contractor will need to have some details such as the size of the building, proposed finishes, exact topography (how level or undulated/sloppy) of your site. |
larimo:It is, depending, of course, the design options/components/finish, topography & geology of your site among other professional considerations. If the BoQ is by a competent qualified QS then you should consider it realistic. There is, however, always a plus or minus difference in final completion cost against the BoQ value. The BoQ, I believe you know, is actually an estimate. |
@sultaan, is it the same one you posted a couple of months back? Anyway sorry to have bothered you, thought you know. I'm looking to words, experts' or users'. |
Afaukwu:Man I thought you are more intelligent. Supposing the PDP even gives that slot to an Igbo next thing you see is an aboki emerging as the candidate for one other prominent party. What do you think will be the result? It is sickening to hear of all this defection to PDP, a party that has made this country worse than it ever had been. The defections are manifestation of a terrible trait: CORRUPTION. People are not ready to do well in office but want to remain there. And frankly it speaks volumes of the character of the majority of Igbo politicians. |
@Kunle-A, thanks. I'm in naija. The vans are already in use here, and are beginning to gain ground. The 2000s editions would not have been any trouble to use but it's just that they are scarce and usually high priced (understandably, may be). But I'm considering here 96-98 models. From what I've found out 66,000miles is "safe use" for the engines. Think the alarm is from 100k miles. Still looking to more views. Oga Sultaan are you anywhere around? |
Quite educating post you have there @chyjoke1. In the real sense there is nothing Dry in the "dry cell batteries": They are called maintenance free by the manufacturer (that's the spec). They are made with more advanced components though. |
How many miles/kilometres can the engines (Triton V10, V8) on the Ford E-series vans go before becoming "dead"? Expert advice please, users experience will be greatly appreciated too. It will be an economic disaster to have a fuel gobbing van that does not serve out its "cost". I've been considering a 1997-98 offer. |
why do you say that?
Because the fuel consumption is way too high. That I know for sure. And the main passenger doors are "swing" type not sliding. It's better on inter state routes. The professionals (including some on this forum) have made me realize that the vehicle is meant (best) for long highway cruise. I someone's trying to introduce one as your spec to me. But I have to see it and request a carfax on it b4 telling you anything. |
AND WHERE WILL ALL OF THIS TALK FOR AND AGAINST RIBADU LEAD US? IS IT NOT OBVIOUS BY NOW THAT OPINIONS WILL NOT CHANGE EITHER WAY (at least in a long time to come)? ![]() JUST WASTE OF PRECIOUS MEMORY. Seun dey try sha |
