I beg to disagree ma! We may be endangered species but we haven't gone into extinction.

You know you'd also do the world some good by training up your son to become a real man as well... your junior ones and neighbors shouldn't be left out as well.

.

This is so painful. I feel cheated.

I was also experiencing the same fate until I switched to buying SME data instead. The data consumption reduced to the barest minimum. Although at times when my night plan reaches 50mb+, it switches over to the main data.

I'd have to switch off my data and switch it back on again. That's the only way it works for me.

Although I heard SIM cards and Browsing platforms varies.

Education / Re: I Have Been Withdrawn From Medical School. I Can't Tell My Parents by mozele(m): 3:17pm On Jun 13, 2020
Amotolongbo:
@dear OP, Sagna112

I’m writing to you as someone who had passed through this kind of experience before. Mine was worse than yours. I will share the experience with you

Inform your parents on what is happening, they can’t beat or rebuke you

I was admitted to study pharmacy in 2006 at the great citadel, Obafemi Awolowo University. After my first session, I had 4 carryovers. Not as if I wasn’t serious or very dull, things just went in the way I didn’t understand.
I summoned courage and repeated the first year, taking only the 4 courses. I passed all and proceeded to 200level.
I repeated 200level and had to take all the courses again in my fourth year at the university. After the fourth year, I passed the courses though with resit in two courses. I promoted to 300level for the fifth year.
I repeated 300level and had to take all the courses in 300level in my 6th year at the university.

Finally, the worse came after my 6th year in OAU pharmacy school, it was a withdraw from the faculty of pharmacy to other faculty.
I wept and felt so bad as if that was the end of my life. Every thought in me had elements of suicide in it. But my parents were so aware, I called my mum who was at work immediately my course mate notified me of my fate. Dad had known earlier that day before me through one of our lecturers.

My parents stood by me and made sure I was happy and supported me financially, physically and spiritually until I was able to change my department to Geography in the faculty of Social Sciences.

I’m a Geography department graduate now and on a verge of being a registered Surveyor and I feel more happy and fulfilled than being a pharmacist

Being withdrawn from the medical school is not the end of life. There are billions of opportunities in other fields.

Please notify your parents now. They will know later, but they will feel more disappointed then than now.

your circumstance could make someone commit suicide o. just imagine your parents never had the financial wherewithal then... catastrophic!

at time we really need to thank God and appreciate our parents for the steps and action they took to be financially stable o.

some of us never had such privilege. If we're in your shoes then, I would have concluded the world had sealed my fate already and there's no hope left.

Health / Re: I Forget Things Easily: Should I Be Worried About This Condition? by mozele(m): 5:08pm On Jun 04, 2020
you are not alone bro. I'm also suffering the same fate too.

what fascinates me most is usually after writing CAs and Exams with colleagues hanging around discussing about what they wrote in the exam hall.

whenever I'm asked what I wrote or which questions I answered, I realize I'm always blank. like it's barely 3-5minutes I came out of the exam hall and I can't remember what I did.

The only thing i do remember is my inability to finish on time. As God will have it, I never had a carry over in the University and the least grade I've had all through are just 5Cs.

I know I may have brain problem and for the past 7years I've been too melancholic and often fall into series of depressions.

Nairaland / General / The Nepa Lifestyle: Reason Why You Never Succeeded! by mozele(m): 7:17am On May 25, 2020
The Nepa Lifestyle: The Reason Why Many (Including You) will Never Make it in Life!

Let me recount the story of my friend Japhet.

You may not be too familiar with that name but just follow me. Will you?

Japhet happens to be one of my well meaning friends and also happens to be a devoted member of the students fellowship in my local church up-north.

Like every Devoted Christian, and at the age of 25years, he had attended retreats, conferences, and revivals back to back like no man's business!

And in each of these events, there were usually transformational lectures, powerful sermons which were often climaxed with hot prayers.

No one who attend any of these events were expected to go back home the same way they came.

They all look so powered up that not even a minion from the pit of hell nor a cultitist wielding a branded AK-47 can dare to challenge them.

Or else you'd here words like

Membrandaski pelonda Shaka boro! Dare raise your filthy fingers against me and I'll tell you why I'm called the apple of God's Eyes... Kalayan dododo.

If fear no enter you, you are are on your own o...

So after one of these events, Japhet came home all fired up

I mean, you can feel the energy oozing all over him.

We got gisting and he gave me a peek into his new resolutions based on the Rhema (revelations) he just got from the event.

Amongst the things he'll be inculcating in his daily routines were Bible studies and midnight prayers. I was impressed!

At least, I'd live to experience another AJS of our time, I said to myself.

The first week passed, it was 7/7. He stuck to his routine real good.

The second week passed, it was 5/7. He missed a day the excuse was that he had to prepare for an upcoming test so he gave himself a break.

The third week passed, it was 3/7.

The fourth week passed, it was 1/7.

The fifth week passed, my friend had already forgotten about his resolutions and the most interesting part of it all is that.....

He's already anticipating for another program to attend to receive Fire!

Many of us are like Japhet. We read books, attend seminars, buy courses and within days, weeks or months, we are back to stage one

Only for us to go chasing again after the next shiny course, webinar our models and mentors just launched so we won't fell left out on the tend.

How about the book you read two months ago?

How about the course you bough last month?

Or should I mention the webinars you attended this month?

Have you put anything you learnt into to practice? Or you only did it to acquire knowledge?

Sorry to shock you.

Knowledge is not Power!

Yea, you can read that again.

Don't be fooled into thinking you'll acquire power merely by acquiring knowledge.

Learn to commit yourself to a thing and remain consistent in it till you crack it. And most importantly, repent from the habit of being up today and down tomorrow in matters that relates to your personal success.

No dey use your destiny dey play like Nepa!

Like Denzel Washington once said "Without commitment, you won't start. Without consistency, you won't finish!"

Let's learn to start that project, and most importantly, finish it as there's no glory in an abandoned project.

Please don't be like Japhet.

Be the You, your future will thank 5 to 10 years from now.

Happy New You!

I don’t even know what to say. You need Jesus... and the transformation of the Holy Spirit.

All of these traits are far from healthy.

I believe he has a traumatic past and demons he needs to let go off. Unfortunately, he is not willing to forgive himself and the characters that plagued him into being the monster he is today.

All these things are in your head. Here are facts you must get into your head asap:
▪︎All gods known to mankind do not exist.
▪︎There is no evidence for any god. There is much evidence for god as there is for a unicorn.
▪︎A supernatural dimension and supernatural entities do not exist. There are much evidences for these as there are for werewolves and leprechauns.
▪︎There is probably no afterlife. All purported afterlives have no basis in reality. Moreover, there is not a vestige of evidence for an afterlife.
▪︎Miracles, spells, clairvoyance, witchcraft, voodoo, curses, and other supernatural power are all rubbish. They are falsehoods, falsifications, and ridiculous garbages. The laws of nature is the for everyone, and the laws of nature are never suspended.
