The reason the FG has not made an official statement is because they haven't been officially informed. Officially informed? Yes, its usually the CNN or the BBC that calls them to give them an update about what is happening on ground. |
Yes, I give it to the Yoruba people. they are first Yoruba before religious affillations. I think its a result of education, and the ability to think above average. Fashola and his Christian wife are always present at The Experience Lagos. In fact, he would stay throughout the event, and the camera will capture him several times. That cant happen in the North. The northern muslim leader would rather appoint someone to go represent him. Thats besides the fact that he would force his wife to change her faith, even if she doesnt believe in it. |
@ONILA I used to be very ugly when I was younger. In highschool I had no boyfriends, no boy ever asked me out Cry but I didnt really bother. I was very cool and funny and everyone loved me so that helped me alotNa wah o, As Jesus turned water into wine, Ugly girl don turn into fine Babey, Campus baby, lets go honey, Kpokpotom kpomkpom, kporokotom kpomkpom, Kpakolo kpa, Kpakolo kpa, Kpakolo kpa, Kpakolo kpa Different different kinda boys are just taking you out, and you too, you're just going out, you're just going out. , Se ya life. so what you came here to tell us is that you are the Arista on your campus. You sure say you be student? |
How about a NEPALI - they are the bravest kinda peeps(soldiers) in the world. |
the BBC guy in Kano said dead bodies are running to 150. I heard there was another bombing in Yenogoa. A bridge was blown up. Is this related to BH - does anyone have info? |
namfav:are you not the ones harrassing our sisters? @bobsdes, I didnt know you needed much help. Youre a 30year old Muslim yoruba boy looking for sex on NL. Now tell me that Yerima is really really right.
|
bobsdes:Nope, it doesnt hurt me, but I feel for her coz she might never be able to decide for herself. Her future might be swept under the carpet all in the name of religion, by an uneducated ignoramus whose heart is filled with lust and ignorance. Have you lived in the North before, and do you see what is happening there? when young female children will be following elderly people around, and you wonder where they are going? Instead of those elderly men to help the young plan for their future, they take their virginity and destroy their future. Later in life, they begin to carry plantain around the street with a child at the back and another one in tow. "Whats wrong with marrying at 15?"- Please dont start that kinda talk. So are you telling me that the governor that married a child is trying to escape from the wrath of fornication - for himself? after how many wives already? what kind of fornication is a married man expected to commit? someone who has children as old as / even older than the 15year old he married? at the age of 40+ when he could even father the girl; or perhaps you mean that the governor is trying to help the girl escape from the wrath of fornication? Are we even sure she was 15, coz craddle-robbers like your governor Yerima usually prefer them very young, but to go with what the news reported, lets say shes 15. As a medical diagnosis, pedophilia (or paedophilia) is defined as a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (persons age 16 or older) typically characterized by a primary or exclusive intimate interest in prepubescent children (generally age 13 years or younger, though onset of puberty may vary). The child must be at least five years younger in the case of adolescent craddle-robbers (16 or older) to be termed pedophilia.Nice idea though: Governor Yerima married a child in order to help her avoid fornication. And a year later or so, shes a mother of a child she doesnt know how to take care of. Why? because she herself is a child. Unfortunately, its an Imam that conducted the wedding, unfortunately too, it was conducted in a mosque of high repute; unfortunately too, there were many witnesses, who witnessed the pedophillic wedding? Are you nuts? Did you fall down and hit your head on the floor? => You as a man get an education, and you dont want her to get one. => You as a man get a life of your own, and you pack plenty of them together under one roof as your own wife; with no plan to allow them make progress with their own lives. => and with all the brood of chickens you have at home, you still philander from one pole to the other, while the woman must not move an inch - all in the name of religion? Dont you see thats why the Northern part of Nigeria is 10-years behind the rest. Dont you see thats why B for BokoHaram has replaced B for boy in primary schools A,B,C,D recitations nowadays. And I bet those BH boys will all have 15year olds as wives huh. Yerima is right? If you have a 15year old daughter or sister, can you give her in marriage to a man old enough to be her father? so you call that marriage in Islam(I assume you are, or what faith do you profess)? 1) How many 15year olds have received 5-years of educational scholarships from yerima since he started his political career? Even if he sent them to school first and then started marrying them, we might give Yerima the benefit of the doubt. But to go pick and child and tell me that prophet Mohammed did the same thing, and therefore its the ideal? Gaddem!. My guy, I have read the Koran myself: English and Arabic. What prophet Mohammed did is wrong. I cannot do the same thing. I will not do the same thing. I will not advise anyone to do the same thing. I condemn the act. The idea wasnt from God. 2) how many 15year olds(male and female) are on the streets of Katsina, Kano, Jalingo, Jigawa, Borno, etc who cannot understand the reason why 2+2 is equal to 4; but you can put a gun in their hands and tell them to shoot. And then you'll pick one of their female sisters for marriage and tell me it is right? Why not send her abroad to become a medical doctor or a lawyer so she can help other females like herself. Why didnt Yerima bring all those young girls under his care, open up and NGO and when they have finished University he can marry them all at the same time? He would have received an award for philantrophy. Yerima is right? duh. Yerima is a craddle-robber plain and simple. Even the CIA know him as a craddle-robber. And maybe you are a craddle-robber as well for even daring to tell me that Yerima is right. Christians hags marries at 35-40 after all the virtues have been tossed, slacken and worthless that is not what God wants,I see, you dont understand. Or perhaps you imply that ladies out there, in their late 20's or early 30's who are keeping themselves busy with their careers until their wedding day are worthless because you couldnt destroy their future before they realized God's plans for their lives? You see how poluted your mind is. Sorry o. May God help you. back to the lady in question: I pray she becomes defiant, and whenever people like you come around and starts waving the quoran in her face, I hope she gives a a dirty slap first with her left hand and follows it with another from her right. Lastly, I hope she drivers her right foot straight into your balls. |
Pretty lady? Pretty Lady? unfortunately, she an Hajia. Can she speak English? Unfortunately too, the next 60year old Alhaji can still marry her as a 5th wife, and she wont have a choice in the name of Allah. Has that northern governor who married a 15-year old seen this army chic yet? |
@ALL BOKO HARAM said they are the real muslims and they must implement sharia according to the Koran? why? because all other muslims are not being true to the Koranic creed, and so when BH wants to kill somebody, they kill either Christians, or Muslims who find themselves in Christian environments or Muslims who they(BH) think is not following Islam properly; ex: congregation of ladies that do not dress the Islamic way. And the fact that BH is bombing everywhere in the North doesnt mean they are not Muslims. They are Muslims, and whether politics is involved in their actions or not, other muslims should not deny the BH as muslims. Their actions are deeply rooted in Islam. How about Farouk Abdulmuttalab. Isnt he a muslim? was his action a result of Nigerian politics? When people read their religious books upside down, destruction of life and property is the result. Unfortunately, I find that a lot of Muslims in Nigeria are BH sympathizers. You hardly find those that will outrightly condemn BHs acts. They would rather find a way to soft-talk BH actions down in the name of one Jihad or the other. They would usually say its best to submit to the will of allah; and that may the dead find their peace. Why allow the dead to find peace, why not leave them alone and let them enjoy their right to life? In all that has been happening so far, how many muslims in Nigeria, North or South, even political leaders who are muslims, how many of them have come out to openly condemn the activities of BH? how many of them in the Northern part of Nigeria has taken any definite action to sensitize fellow muslims that the extremities of BH is Koranically wrong? how many of them have publicly requested for information from anyone who thinks he/she has some info about someone / somepeople who might/might not be BH operatives? Can we really say that none of our northern leaders are sympathizers. All the northern governors live in Abuja. Why is everybody keeping quiet. I guess they think that if BH succeeds, it will be to Islamic benefit; and if BH looses out, they(silent Islamists) will continue living their own lives. If BH is all a political agenda, I suppose northern politicians should be concerned that the north is loosing man-power, infrastructure and whatever through the activities of BH. |
We have no intention of harming the citizens of Kano as long as they do not confront us. Our fight is against the government that is waging war against Islam, The security services and the Christian Association of Nigeria (C.A.N)- an organization that has been killing Muslims and even perpetrated cannibalism by eating their flesh. In addition, we fight anyone who helps the above listed to wage war against us even if he/she is a Muslim.I think Islam is not the only thing worrying these Boko Haram ppl. They must be high on some other kind of drug. So Christians have been eating the flesh of Muslims in Nigeria? |
@LagosShia dont you know its the kind of thing you preach that motivate the BH boys to do what they do (regardless of whether/if you disassociate yourself from them)? besides, here was an opportunity for christians to convert me but so far they have failed.i offered to become christian but no one could make me one.may be you should try:The point you are missing is that its not man that converts. NairaLand is a forum, not an opportunity to get converted. How will you get converted with all those Bible passages you are willfully twisting together? Can a drowning man pull himself out of water? Can a soundly sleeping man answer the question "Are you sleeping?". No. Its not by power not by might, but by my spirit sayeth the Lord. If a fellow NLder were to be successful in converting you to a Christian, then we should give Seun a nobel prize. Is it Festus who said "almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian?". Was he ever a Christian? No. but he was almost persuaded, he was almost there. I bet, as we speak, he would be regretting for life in his almost persuaded state. Jesus will not come into your heart by force. If he does that, then we all become robots. You have to open your heart and receive him by Faith. Faith: but how will you have faith except you read the Bible. Oh, you have already read the Bible but you're obviously confused / confusing yourself. Thats where the problem is. Its like students who dont like math. Its either they hate the subject, wonder how it will ever make sense; or hate the teacher and also all those excelling in mathematics. Can you debunk yourself of everything you have heard/read in the Bible/Koran? Is that possible? Can you humble yourself, and ask God himself to reveal the truth to you? You must do it genuinely, unless there'll be no results. BTW, I have read the Koran too. I have it soft and hardcopy. I have been to Mecca and Jerusalem. I have Muslims in my family. When I read your previous posts, I just smile. Why? Im thanking God that now, I know the truth. Ive been there once, brother, but its not worth it. Jesus is Lord, and one day, the whole world will bow at the mention of that name, regardless of who likes it or not. |

@LagosShia, I have one of you in my office. He wears a sofe trouser. I bet you do too. He has a gotee beard, and I bet you do to. You know what the guy idiot said on the day the UN building was bombed. The guy said "it was very good the the BokoHaram boys bombed the US building". SOmeone asked him why? he said "everybody has a right to fight for his religion, and that the BH boys were fighting for theirs. According to him, they were fighting a Jihad". It was around 9am in the morning. His statement moved me, I was so angry, I almost slapped him. Someone just pulled me back right in time as I wanted to rush the guy. I might have slammed him through the glass wall office divider. It would have been disastrous. The useless guy showed no remorse that an innocent life has been lost. Even if you hear that an okada man had an accident and his passenger got hurt, are you not supposed to have some feeling? No. This my guy was very happy on the particular day. In the afternoon, I tried to recall all the stupid arguments, similar to many of what Ive read on your posts and your many lectures here on NL. All of them seemed to make sense. Perhaps, maybe thats why this guy's mind is totally warped. Later in the afternoon, I saw him leading others to pray; and after the prayer, I called some of his members aside and told them to be very careful. I narrated what happened in the morning to them. Since that day, his name changed to BokoHaram. Since that day, my attitude changed. I dont hate him, but I keep him at a hands length. I remember when this guy was first employed, I was very happy to see him reading the Bible. At first, i thought he was a Christian. He told me he was muslim. Then I thought, perhaps he was trying to convert. I remember he would come early in the morning, take one passage of the Bible, muddle it up and ask me to explain. At first, I thought he was curious, later I concluded he was seriously confused. I realized he had his mind madeup in a totally confused state; and that his show of Bible reading was just to gain attention. Perhaps, he thought he could confuse me. I did my best to always explain things to him as clearly as I knew how, but the more we talked, the more I realized that this guy knew the Bible by heart. He was not searching for anymore knowledge. He was just trying to confuse ppl. I realized his explanations always leaned to the extreme. The guy realized that I was a no go area. then came the day I described above when he made that his useless comment. My guy LagosShia, if you think you are on the right path with your beliefs, I am not here to start an argument, but you are wrong. There is only one truth, and that truth is in God through Jesus Christ. All other ground is sinking sand. Some of us have tried our hands in Islam and a couple of religions. It hasnt been worth it. Its Jesus that gives the kind of peace that passeth all understanding. My prayer for you is that one day, even if it takes God working in you as he did to Saul of Tarsus, He would have His way in your life; so that with the same zeal as you try to dishonor the person of Jesus, with the same zeal, you will exhault him someday. And I pray it will happen to you in 2012. Amen. Amen. |
@LagosShia are you going nuts in writing all these / copy-pasting it from wherever just to point an accusing finger at the Bible? So you can write all these and still not believe the Bible? New Christian converts do not have as much theology under their sleeves, yet they are humble enough to go on their knees, and ask Jesus to forgive them their sins and come into their lives as Lord and Savior. They are set free and they start preaching to other people using their own personal testimony. since 11Jan, and I'm the first commenter. It would have been better if you put together a book, sell it to someone and make some money o. It would buy you more air-time, you know, but this one right here is a complete waste of time. Anyway, I pray that you find God someday, even if it means becoming another Saul on the way to Tarsus! |
71-vultures for voodoo usage, hhmmmm, that kudirat woman is on her way to Benin. Its vultures they use to make juju for all those Edo women who usually end up as prostitutes in different parts of Europe, and then they spend their lives paying for their air-fare tickets to their madams, at the same time opening their legs to at least 7-men per day. |
Yes O, I just saw the news on BBC. They said it was 7 explosions in several parts of Kano, mainly tagetting police stations. Also, they showed a BBC reporter in Kaduna(an oyinbo man) speaking to one of the terrorists on the phone. Exactly who it was the BBC guy was speaking to, I dont know, but the guy at the other end of the line spoke English very well, its hard to imagine that it was a Mallam. The bokoguy mentioned that the Madalla bombings was a retaliation to Muslims that were killed in Jos last year. They also showed the Emir of Kano granting an interview to the BBC correspondent. Wahala dey o. |
@POSTER all the sites are opening. Nothing seems to be wrong. |
@Poster there is no job security in nigeria o. Pregnancy or no pregnancy. Even if you seek legal redress, you are going to waste the little savings you have. |
@Poster are you sure that is our first lady? I hope she didnt blow grammar there o, unless somebody will arise from the dead! |
pls what do these mean: skelere Yoruba kpetus |
from Plaetton @mpmp:@madam winona I am wondering of the above part in bold is true? If Yes, you berra run o, or berra still, the next time your husband walks in from work, strip and get down on the sitting room carpet. Maybe that will take your mind off someone else! |
On a second thought, if Alhaji Ali Quran's voodoo powers could find a terrorist within 24-hours, why not commission him as an Assistant Inspector of Police - Voodoo Department. I believe all he needs is a mat and a red calabash at the center of his office, some incenses, etc; and within 1-month, he can locate all the corrupt politicians, all the armed robbers. |
If GEJ and the Police Minister didn't give Ringiim a pending sack letter, will they ever find bomber Sokoto? even the person that arrested him, the Alhaji Quran should be arrested himself. All of them are terrorists. Now that the police needed to find a man tooth and nail, they called on Quran, what about the previous bombings, where are the masterminds. |
@Lady_Winona Ive read your comments and others too, and I beg to differ. I dont see any problem in being fond of someone(a man on this occassion) as long as you know where the full stop is. Its good as you said you have invited him to your home - maybe to take the "hiddenness" away. I am not a marriage counselor, but I think first, you are blaming yourself for something you haven't done yet. If you continue blaming yourself, you would find yourself over-guilty for a crime not yet committed. (If you accuse an innocent man of a crime he didnt commit, he could as well commit the crime to justify the accusation). Sometimes, time and place bring people together for the purpose of developing lasting friendships, but unfortunately we allow our emotions to go on the overdrive, either positively or negatively, and at the end, we miss the real point. Thank God if its just missing the point, and not wrecking something else in the process. I am of the opinion that as long as things are professionally handled, all will be well. This is a man you met in your workplace (I suppose). What if he was somebody you grew up with? its not easy to cut someone like that off u know. Whenever I tell people that a lady is my best friend, they are like what ?!!!!!! anyway, its a long story. Its not so easy to cut off someone like that from your life. In fact, every attempt to cut him or her off would only injure you as a person. And what if this fondness was with a woman / single lady in your place of work, would you be double-minded on whether you are turning into a lesbian / homosexual? Kai. Yes you have to be careful. Im not saying throw all into the air. I do not know how you would defind your own fondness, as long as french kisses, necking etc., are not involved, you might still be on higher ground. Also, if you find your thoughts running sexually wild, you know yourself, you might be on sinking sand. To ease the tension, I would advise you get to know his wife. Get to be friends with her. Perhaps, if you give his wife some friendship, your own thoughts will leave him, and his likewise. Just a thought! |
@Missy_BIf Marriage is not on every woman's list, then what about sleeping around and intentionally becoming a single parent? Do you think that extreme is normal? I wonder how Ms. Pero will raise her kids or perhaps if she will encourage her kids, especially her daughters to live her own kinda lifestyle. I also find it hard to believe that there would be women out there(in their right minds) who consent that their lovers could continue carrying on other sexual relationships with several other women whenever they(male lovers) choose to; however, these women would still open their doors and get pregnant for the same man anytime he chooses to come around romancing them. It's no fault of his that his sugarcane is irresistible to women. How about her own honeypot? Is it her fault as well? If 2Face is your definition of a responsible man, how about ladies that go into professional prostitution who have several kids by several men? Are they responsible as well? Anyways, 2Face just finished his masters degree, he has a lot to learn from someone like DMx with 10-kids from 6-women. |
@ALL Im enjoying this thread o, I need to update my NL vocabs. |
Sweetheart, Tubaba's babies are not being raised by a single parent. Tuface is very much present in each child's life. It's like a polygamous family, the only difference is Tuface hasn't put a ring on any of these ladies' finger. BTW, individuals raised by both parents can be criminals.
I think we might need to redifine marriage o, the way 2Face is going: 1) monogamy 2) polygamy 3) Idibiagamy 6-kids by how many women now? four? anyway, it will be very terrible if his kids take after him o. The pero lady should be ashamed of herself. 3-kids with a man and no ring on your finger? She just became 2Face's US base. Anytime he goes there, na pregnancy. I bet the guy slam dunked the last time he was in the US. Just imagine his daughters growing up and picking up his libidicious genes, sleeping around and having several children for several men; and his sons also having several children with several women - na wahala o. I hope hes teaching them how to sing sha o, coz, we wont mind seeing one of them becoming the next African American Nigerian Michael Jackson, even if na nonsense he/she dey sing. At least that will cover up for their fathers extra-curricular activities with women. But if they end up on the streets! well, idibiagamy might just be working against them! |
is there any crime in Nigeria called TREASON. When a serving governor is using tax payers money to finance terrorism against the tax payer. The problem with Nigeria is that we talk so much and take just little action. Some of these people dont need to be interrogated. If facts about their involvement with terrorism are confirmed, they need to be hanged - plain and simple. |
@aameyah, She should exercise some restraint, caution and wisdom on the method used to inform her sister about Romeo's proposal. I would advise, dont inform senior sister for now. Get enough evidence that Romeo cant deny. Romeo is definitely a playa. What if after junior sister informs senior sister of Romeos proposal, and then senior sister confronts Romeo, and Romeo denies it and claims that junior sister made the first move, coming onto him. Definitely senior sister will hold her man kpam, at the expense of her relationship with her own sister. Then another sister2sister relationship war begins. |
@all fine folks, Isnt this Jonathan of a President behaving like the devils incarnate? |
alj harem:If the building and all vital documents, electronics, printers, office furniture, batteries and generators arent burn't, how will they be able to spend the new budget for 2012. Opportunity, ye, ye ye Opportunity e, mama ye ye opportunity! |
I agree with the commenter that said NYSC should be turned into Millitary traning. Nigeria's NYSC is a complete failure. I served Nigeria under a mango tree, after 5-solid years of University. Isnt that a waste? If the 1-year is a millitary training, it helps to build love and respect for one another. All these tribal sentiments would not be there anymore. In fact, if Nigeria gets attacked today by some foreign nations and it needs to recruit soldiers into its army, who can they call onto? nobody - when there are no military trained people among the civilians. Thank God we dont have a country like Iraq as our neighbors, maybe we would have shaped up a long time ago, coz they will just be using one-state per month for weapon testing. In Nigeria, young men arent trained to handle weapons, guns for example-they dont know how to shoot, talk less of load up a rifle; they cant use sticks, knives, ropes to defend themselves. There is no formal traning in self defense using their hands or any weaponry at all; they cant control crowds as someone said earlier; a good number of Nigerian men cant even swim, cant survive under water. Worse, what are you supposed to do in a time of natural disaster, a fire, landslide, volcano, hurricane, nobody knows. Thank God we dont have many of those here. Who teaches anybody how to do CPR, or apply basic first-aid to a wounded/injured man in an accident. If people see you doing such, they will say you are a doctor. but do you have to be a doctor to know about first-aid? Im talking about men, how about women. How many single women know what to do / have received training on what to do if a pregnant woman beside them goes into unexpected labor. How many women know how to defend themselves against rape, other than shouting "I beg you in the name of Jesus, leave me alone o". I learnt Judo and Taekwondo as Physical education subjects in school and the experience is still with me. Even though Ive never done it before, but I can recollect what to do if someone besides me needs a first-aid / is in labor. I believe if Nigerian men are better trained, the North will not be a no-go area by now. Many of those who died would have defended themselves in one way or the other, possibly leading to the capture of a boko-haram member who could be used for information purposes. If the average Nigerian is well-trained in self defense, things like armed robbery will reduce, coz the armed robber will know his potential victim might be better than he/she is. The above is not a 1-size fits all, but it sure helps. |
?!!!!!! anyway, its a long story.
