I understand the legal angle you are looking at things from, but pratically, it is more risky to have a child with a woman who is not your wife. it is better to accommodate her and let her be in your house caring for the child.

i fully disagree... many fathers out there have better r/ship with their babymamas than with their (ex) wife. the only thing that is risky here is to have a child with a bad woman (whether a wife/babymama). many wives are BAD WOMEN, many babymamas are BAD WOMEN. many babymamas are better at raising your children than a wife, while many mothers are better at raising your children than a babymama....the only difference here is the woman you choose to have babies with.

This is one thing many japa disciples always say. For me, anyone can make it from anywhere. Tobi Amusa grew up in Ijebu Ode and only went abroad in 2016. i agree but child custody is the main problem here. child custody is guaranteed when you are married.

child custody is NEVER guaranteed, whether with a babymama or a wife. if your wife/babymama is abusive or a junky etc then she will NOT get custody, same as if "you" are useless as a father. remember, just because you aint married to a woman, does NOT mean you lose your rights as a father. whether married or babymama, you have the exact same rights towards that child.
