Sir I understand what you're talking about. Perhaps you missed where I said I'm not comparing to bank managers. And I said bank branch managers don't earn up to 2m here in Nigeria. Their salary ranges from 300k to 1m max. I just got off the phone with the South South RM or RH as they call it of one of the prestigious bank in Nigeria.

Here is the thing. We're actually looking at what a manual labourer earns to what a Manager earn here in Nigeria.

If you like, cut your hair with 50 euro, you still earn more than most professionals in Nigeria.

In Abuja, houses are expensive, but people still meet up and have some savings compare to Benin city. They pay that much because they're doing business and are making money in the city. Shops are expensive, cutting of hair is high as well. Resident can pay because they're making money too.

When he get his papers you say? Someone is sharing his salary 50/50 and is still saving over 500k monthly and he's living very well. He had a gas plant and a cold room here in Nigeria before travelling. Things were not working fine

Why did you say he won't save much when he get his papers?

If you're buying Camry, buy the XLE v6 instead.

That's the full option and we'll balanced.

That IS 250 won't see it's back if you're looking for speed.

Nigeria has her issues, but they should never compare a cleaner or warehouse operative like one debated with me recently to a bank manager in Nigeria. People see contract staff as bankers, and that is not a true representation of the industry's remuneration. They should say, "a cleaner in the UK has better prospects than a contract staff banker in Nigeria", and one might not bother. My friend who got into UBA started earning 250K and decided to stay after NYSC in a state with LCOL. I will discourage her from heading to the UK unless for MBA programs and if so, must either be LBS, Said or Judges. Anything else, enter the US.

The other comparison is changing currencies while in the abroad. Unless the person intends to return home immediately and decides to save along the way, it might make sense. But by living there, people should stop the needless conversions, they don't make economic sense.

A friend of mine moved to Netherland few months ago. Although he's working with someone papers for now while they split the salary 50/50

He makes over a million monthly.

His rent is 266k naira

He sends his mom and family 200k monthly and saves the rest.

At least, he saves over 500k monthly.

Imagine what he will save after getting his papers.

As a youth, work hard and come back here and invest. Maybe build a standard hotel. You should be relaxing in your 50s

Please I need your opinion on this issue.

Though before I got married I discovered my mother inlaw calls all her daughters both married and unmarried everyday (only 3 ladies no boys) and they fear her to the bone.

At times every morning and night just to talk to them but I believe when they get married they need privacy and respect but this is not the case for my mother-in-law and I detest such act.

Mind you I'm not against call or trying to break the bond but I believe this is marriage. I'm looking for a way to stop all that

I'm I wrong or right to take that step ?

I can understand. You don't have a good relationship with your mother-in-law.

Just warn your wife not to discuss the affairs of your home with her mother.

Let them do their talking, but whenever she tries to ask how the house is running, she should cut it out and let her mother know it's personal
