That is interesting, my Economics is quite weak though, didnt write it in WAEC . Thanks Bro
I've always wanted medicine but there was a twist of fortune. I got it as a last resort. I've developed interest in it over the years but I see myself embracing my first love.
However, Having two degrees in diverse disciplines is a great deal owing to the current economic situation of the country.
For the fact that I'm going for a second degree in Medicine doesn't mean I detest the course but I want to more enlightened, sharpened, diverse and prepared for the future.
And the end of the day,I may derive great fortunes from both diverse fields...
It's worth it!

Oh Great! Just who I've been looking for. Where are your currently schooling? plus what do you personally think about the course. Be candid please.
University of Benin.
It's a nice course with vast job opportunities... It's somehow different from other disciplines in Agriculture owing to the application Of accounting Principes, Econometrics and Financial managements In Agricultural Enterprises..
It's very related to pure Economics because we have some courses in Common.

You guys will definitely meet in UI.

I heard that the best candidate from each state of the federation is picked to fill the supplementary list for medicine.. I had close to the cut off.. I'm from Delta state.
I had to do some research using 2014 and 2015 admissions as Case duties. But I found that the supplementary list for those two years were filled with yoruba Candidates, just few guys from Other geopolitical Zones..I thought perhaps some candidates from other geopolitical zones couldn't beat the general cut off which is 50...pls someone should shed more light on this cuz its my last hope.

what about you coming down from your jeep and telling the leper to accept fate and make plans for the future instead of him wasting away taking tips from strangers?

I'm not castigating anyone

and I'm sure you must have read about double amputees who do menials jobs to make money and not just whine about being amputees and begging for alms or they hoping God makes everyone other human amputees grin
You're trying to tell me you're more intelligent and that those who failed are Dullards? Or you prepared better??You must be joking... I've a friend who got medicine in Uniben 2015..He didn't open any book at all for jamb and pume exams, yet he scored very high..This a public(entrance)exam not Departmental Exam.. The earlier you accept you were just fortunate, the better.

I understand the fact that 100% of the results CANNOT BE accurate. But since we live in a country where we cannot question anything that happens, we just have to accept fate.

I'm not disputing theme fact that people who are brilliant and more prepared than me were unlucky to fail this exam, all I'm saying is THE EARLIER THEY ACCEPT FATE AND MOVE ON, THE BETTER FOR THEIR MINISTRY
you're right.the earlier one moves on the better..I'm not doubting UI pume results but from what I've experienced twice with Uniben where contrasting options were used in marking our results.. The results were so bad that it was obvious something was wrong but the people involved were so careless that they released the results like that..there's nothing much anyone can do about the results now but I Believe with God, commitment and perseverance one's time will surely come...

Your type is the reason people insult Christianity. The atheists on this thread will just be enjoying the nonsense you have been saying

Life is all about garbage in and garbage out. You reap what you sow!!!!!!
This Analogy is wrong a times...I've written three different pume exams but this year's pume is the one I prepared the most... I read my textbooks three times and I had the lowest score of the three;I couldn't believe my Eyes.. From what I've seen in Nigeria's public exams, Lucks play a big in determining Success of Anyone. That doesn't downplay the role of good preparation. A lot of factors come into play in Exams like this..I've seen situations where OMR machines malfunctioned..I'm close to some operators in Uniben computer science department and I've learnt a lot from them.. That's why I prefer theories any day any time...For the fact that you scored high doesn't mean you prepared better... Mine is a good Example..You're fortunate today; Another man will be fortunate tomorrow..

CrimeRe: 16-Year-Old OAU Student Commits Suicide Over Poor Grades by MrEgghead(m): 10:58am On Oct 29, 2017
GistLivePro:
Mercy Olamide Afolaranmi, a student of Microbiology at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has committed suicide.
According to the school’s Chief Security Officer, Babatunde Oyatokun, Miss Afolaranmi, poisoned herself. Students and a neighbour close to the deceased also said she killed herself due to poor grade.

“We got a call that one of our students took poison,” Mr. Oyatokun said. “We got to hospital to realise that she mixed rat poison. She gave us the contact of her parents but before they arrived, she already gave up due to the effect of the poison she took.”

A neighbour, Bimpe Oni, in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES, said Miss Afolaranmi, who lived off-campus at Sabo area of Ile-Ife, died on Thursday, after she took “rat poison mixed with battery extract.”

Mrs. Oni said the late student committed suicide because of “emotional pressure.” A student, Aisha, who was Miss Afolaranmi’s colleague in the Faculty of Science, said the deceased had ‘E’ in CHM101 (Chemistry for first year students), a reportedly dreaded course for year one students in the science and technology related faculties.

“Mercy often isolated herself in class and looked depressed,” said Aisha. “She told me she had ‘E’ in CHM101 and has been going around unhappy before this incident.” Another student in the Faculty of Student, Opeyemi, said “she took poison because of result.”

The school’s Dean of Students’ Affairs, Isiaka Aransi, also confirmed the news. “Although the reason and cause of her death is yet to be known, the division is aware of the death of Mercy,” she said.

Before her death, on October 10, she posted on Facebook that: “Above all other things, I just wanna see God, see what He looks like, speak with Him face to face. I don’t wanna miss heaven. LORD HELP ME.”
