I'm a 30yrs old Bsc (Animal science) and Msc(Animal breeding and genetics) holder.
It's been a childhood dream of mine to study medicine and surgery and I have not been able to do so due to some circumstances of which finance is one of them.
Having built up a small business I believe can help me sponsor the program am contemplating starting this year.
I simply have one question, am I too old for this journey?
Its never too late to achieve one's dream and live a fulfilled life.
Friends and families will discourage you but you shouldn't be bulged.
It's your life to live and not theirs.
It's not everyone that will get MBBS on a platter of Gold.
Some have to be consistent, remain resolute and preserve.
You know deep down yourself what you want go for it.
And the days you struggled to get hold of your dream will pass away.
Winners never quit, losers do and settle for the less.
It's yours decision to make.

Something must be wrong somewhere. You had above your Elds cut off point. You can wait till the school release any statement pertaining to conclusion of admissions before you can take amother step. But if time is not on your side, you can pick another jamb form to be on the safer side.
However, you'd should be admitted if the whole process is not compromised.

I thought student shud rise and protest these people b4 his too late oo.
I can discern the message you're trying to pass across.
I think some private universities like Covenant, Landmark ET al have salubrious and formidable hostels.
I'm a student of the university of Benin and I've been to University of Ibadan and I can attest that their hostels are as equally good.
On the last note, take time to study English Language well because the school you claim to attend wouldn't be proud of you seeing all these grammatical blunders you've committed.

1. English: B3
2. Mathematics: B3
3. Physics: A1
4. Biology: A1
5. Chemistry: C4.
I was expecting at least medical related courses, unfortunately they shift me from MBBS to Botany. Please what can I do with Botany because I don't want to loose another year again?

Thanks for your good suggestion!

Please if you don't have any positive suggestion to contribute just ignore it.
First and foremost, accept the admission..You may have the options of transferring to medicine after 100L next year or taking another jamb Utme while in 100L

Same thing happened to me last week.. My cousin and I were sent to buy fuel.
Immediately, we got a junction, some police officers with no informs surrounded us and were pointing gun at us threatening to shoot us.
They hit us many times on the head coupled with the show of embarrassment.
People were looking at us like criminals.
It was later that the person they were looking for picked their call and that was when we were set free.
The whole event is still a mirage to me.
Personally, I think it's because most of them are half-educated or stark illiterate. Because I don't expect an intelligent and educated officer to beat up an unarmed person without finding any evidence connected to the culprit or whatsoever.
It's so unfortunate.

HealthRe: Top Five Health Tips For The Yuletide Season by MrEgghead(m): 12:34pm On Dec 25, 2017
michaelo2:
Ready for Christmas and New Year? You may have your Christmas menu planned, your tree decorated and your wish list full, but have you thought about the potential health risks?

During the holiday season, there is a heightened risk of compromising our health for various reasons.

Don't worry, Health This Moment is wishing you a healthy christmas with health tips for the yuletide season.

So here, in no particular order are the top five yuletide health tips.

1. Wash your hands often.

The yuletide season always involves alots of hugs, handshakes, kiss on cheeks.

Keeping your hands clean is one of the most important steps you can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others.

Wash your hands with soap and clean running water, and rub them together for at least 20 seconds.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don’t have tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow, not your hands.

2. Stay warm.

The yuletide season is always associated with harmattan and winter cold. Cold temperatures can cause serious health problems, especially in infants and older adults.

Stay dry, and dress warmly in several layers.

3. Manage stress.

The yuletide season don’t need to take a toll on your health and pocketbook. Keep your commitments and spending in check.

Balance work, home, and play. Get support from family and friends, if your finances aren't strong.

Keep a relaxed and positive outlook. Make sure to get proper sleep, if there is going to be a party, make sure to sleep well after.

4. Handle and prepare food safely.

As you prepare holiday meals, keep yourself and your family safe from food-related illness. Wash hands and surfaces often.

Avoid cross-contamination by keeping raw meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs (including their juices) away from ready-to-eat foods and eating surfaces.

Cook foods to the proper temperature. Refrigerate promptly. Do not leave perishable foods out for more than two hours.

5. Eat healthy, and be active.

With balance and moderation, you can enjoy the holidays the healthy way. Choose With balance and moderation, you can enjoy the holidays the healthy way.

Choose fresh fruit as a festive and sweet substitute for candy. Limit fats, salt, and sugary foods.

Find fun ways to stay active, such as dancing to your favorite holiday music. Be active for at least 2½ hours a week. Help kids and teens be active for at least 1 hour a day.

Avoid overeating and weight gain by:

•Drinking a glass of cold water before you eat — this can help curb your appetite.

•Eat slowly; wait at least 20 minutes before going back for seconds or grabbing dessert, constipation is never friendly.

I naturally expect readers to take great exception with the list and suggest their own and probably to accuse me of being a Christmas kill-joy.

Not so, but a few sensible precautions could help prevent this being a festive period to forget.

A merry - and healthy - Christmas to you all.

LasgidiOnline:
Zainab Eze, (The Farm Girl) is a 22 year old farmer who owns and manages a 7 acres of cassava farmland in a small village in Edo State.

She is a 500 level student of Agricultural Economics at the University of Benin, Benin City. She ventured into farming in the early months of 2017 in which her first harvest of maize on an acre of land was in June the same year.

Zainab used to have a rather crazy idea of getting married when she turns 22, with N50 million in her bank account. There she was, on her 22nd birthday and she isn't even ready for marriage nor had she made close to N1million.

That was her wake up call. That thought spurred her to pick up her hoes and machetes on her farmland.
