Crime › Re: How I Was Almost Hypnotised By Two Men In Benin City by MrEgghead(m): 9:18pm On Jun 03, 2018 |
TMTR: The following happened yesterday being Sunday...
I and my mom went out to New Benin yesterday, On getting to ring road I dropped her off because she wanted to see someone in aruosa street around sakponba road. Immediately she left me, a guy approached me (he was very dark in complexion with black lips and red eyes probably gotten as a result of too much smoking). He said that he is from auchi and he was looking for Dr ujah herbal Centre which he said delivers pregnant women. I have never heard of him so I told him I don't know, as I was about to leave him, he now asked where we were, I told him ring road and all that, as we were talking, a guy walked past us(which I believe to be his accomplice). He now told me to help him ask the guy if he knows the place, which I did, the second said yes he knows the place and that it's along mission road and he said the man was the one who treated his brother when he broke his leg.
The second guy now asked the first one why he was looking for the Dr ujah herbal Centre. The first guy now said that he he works in where they sell wood in auchi and that a big wood fell on a python and Killed it which made the snake vomit a golden egg abi na diamond he talk, I can't really remember. (He made an attempt to bring something out from his cloth which I didn't see) And that a woman offered to buy it for 460k but he refused to sell, that's why he is looking for the Dr ujah Herbal cantre. (Please note that while While all this was going on, I was in their middle and my mom tried calling me on my phone which I held on my right hand because she saw what was going on from afar. Can you believe that I didn't hear my phone ring nor feel the vibration).. The second guy now smiled and said;
"your luck don shine today o, oya thank this bros" which the first guy did, immediately he thanked me, I felt a sharp pain in my head like a migraine headache( I just can't explain it) and I felt like I wanted to faint. Immediately I regained myself and realized that I was in the middle of two strangers, and I sensed that something was fishy.
I just told them that I had somewhere going and I left them. My mum called after answering the call, I saw her missed call which came in while I was with those guys. I realised that I was almost hypnotised but my jehovah God pass them..
As I was heading towards new Benin, I kept wondering what would have happened if they succeeded. Maybe they would have went away with my valuables or better still use me for ritual. Thank Jehovah God for saving me even through I am a sinner.
And to think that my mum always warns me to avoid talking to strangers because of things like this, but I always brushed it off that she worry too much. Well this experience has made me to start taking her advice seriously.. I've had a first hand experience of this scenario before in Abraka, but with the experience I've got in Akure and God, I was able to shrugg off their gimmicks..They told me the same storylines you were told. |

Salah fell to the ground also but he didn't hit it right so he got injured. How is that Ramos fault? For the fact that Ramos got the ball indicates that the foul was intentional.. Sports › Confirmed: Mo Sallah To Miss 2018 FIFA World Cup by MrEgghead(op): 5:42pm On May 27, 2018 |
Mohamed Salah will be sidelined for two months by the shoulder injury he sustained during Liverpool's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid and miss Egypt's World Cup campaign, according to Saudi Arabian sports administrator Turki Al-Sheikh. Salah was substituted after 30 minutes of Saturday's showpiece encounter in Kiev , having grappled with Madrid captain Sergio Ramos and landed heavily on the turf. Gareth Bale came off the bench to steal the headlines with a game-changing overhead kick after Sadio Mane cancelled out Karim Benzema's opener – Reds goalkeeper Loris Karius culpable for the latter as he was Bale's second seven minutes from time in a 3-1 Madrid victory. In his post-match interviews, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp expressed fears Salah would miss Russia 2018 , but the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) tweeted a statement claiming there was "optimism" the Premier League Golden Boot winner would be fit for their Group A opener against Uruguay on June 15 after speaking to Liverpool officials. Al-Sheikh holds a number of administrative roles, including chairman of the Saudi Arabia Sport Authority and president of the Sports Federation of Islamic Solidarity. Until the end of last week he was an honorary president of Egyptian club Al-Ahly and is understood to have close links to the federation in the North African country. Al-Sheikh used social media to give a message of support to Salah before the final but, in a Facebook post on Sunday, he claimed the 25-year-old's World Cup dream was over – at odds with the EFA's official line. "With great sadness, sadly our great Arab star Mohamed Salah was confirmed in his absence [of] two months to injury, which means that he will miss the World Cup," he said. "We wish him a speedy recovery. "I think that Liverpool will not allow Salah to take the cortisone because it is dangerous for the player in the long term and will press hard to complete the treatment for two months, which unfortunately means that we will not see the star Mohamed Salah in the World Cup." Saudi Arabia have also been drawn in Egypt's World Cup group alongside hosts Russia and Al-Sheikh caused controversy in March when, after Salah scored in a friendly versus Portugal, he tweeted to suggest it would be beneficial for the Liverpool favourite to miss the round-robin match against the Gulf state. "When it comes to Twitter, I speak as fan and not as a minister," he told Four Four Two Arabia when discussing the incident this month. "When I commented on the Saudi team, it was because of excitement. I may make mistakes and I might be right and I might be harsh in some of the terms I use. "But when it comes to Mohamed Salah, he's a great Arab player and has allowed us to lift our heads high as Arabs. I am a fan. "But what I wish is he wouldn't play against our team during that match [at the World Cup]. I want to miss him during this match, just this match." http://www.goal.com/en-ng/news/salah-will-miss-world-cup-injury-rules-liverpool-star-out/11und1fdh6dh616cw4wctoyd7kcc: Lalasticlala, fynestboi, Mynd44 |

dabblesports: Brazil has named the 23-man who will represent the South American nation in the forthcoming soccer mundial, the FIFA World Cup billed for Russia. The soccer Mundial which is unarguably the biggest sporting tournament globally will see 32 countries to vie for the coveted trophy.
Coach Tite has added name to the sixteen earlier confirmed in February. Last week former Barcelona and Juventus defender who now ply his trade in France for PSG Dani Alves has been ruled out of the World Cup. Alves picked up a serious knee injury and was forced to be replaced in the game and this has forced coach Tite to source for an alternative player to replace the injured Alves.
Danilo and Taison have joined Paris Saint Germain star Neymar in Brazil’s squad for the World Cup. The PSG defender’s withdrawal left one first team slot up for grabs in his starting XI of which Manchester City’s Danilo will now try to get the nod ahead of Cortinhians man Fagner.
Gremio’s Pedro Geromel has been picked for the final reserve spot in the Brazil defence and that see him join established stars Thiago Silva of PSG, Marquinhos and Miranda to complete the defence department of the team.
The selected players are expected to arrive at the Granja Comary in Teresopolis on May 21, where they will work for a week before heading for London on May 27.
The members of the squad who will be involved in the final of the UEFA Champions League will link up with the team in Europe on May 28 after the football showpiece billed to hold in Kiev, Ukraine which will see defending champions Real Madrid take on Liverpool.
The Selecao will base in London at Tottenham Hotspur’s newly constructed Lodge ahead of their Brasil Global Tour friendly game against Croatia at Anfield on June 3. The team is scheduled to return to London and train before departing for Vienna on June 8 to take on Austria on June 10 to round the friendly game schedule before jetting out to Russia.
Brazil full squad: Goalkeepers: Alisson (Roma), Ederson (Manchester City), Cassio (Corinthians)
Defenders: Marcelo (Real Madrid), Danilo (Man City), Fagner (Corinthians), Felipe Luis (Atletico Madrid), Marquinhos (PSG), Thiago Silva (PSG), Miranda (Inter Milan), Pedro Geromel (Gremio).
Midfielders: Fernandinho (Man City), Willian (Chelsea), Paulinho (Barcelona), Casemiro (Real Madrid), Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona), Renato Augusto (Beijing Guoan), Fred (Shakhtar).
Forwards: Neymar (PSG), Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City), Roberto Firmino (Liverpool), Douglas Costa (Juventus), Taison (Shakhtar). Brazil will begin their World Cup campaign against Switzerland on June 17.

Topshow2010: MY RESPONSE TO THE ENEMY OF JOHESU 1. What is the meaning of the word `medical´ when it is used to refer to a group of profesional? 2. Are Physicians (they are being called ``doctors´´ which is an honorary title. Only PhD holder is fit to be called a `doctor´) not Health Workers? 3. Who do they refer to as ``non-medical professionals´´? Nurses, Pharmacists, Medical Laboratory Scientists or Physiotherapists? 4. Who is fit to head health sector? Physicians have been heading health sector but it is still a shame that Nigeria Health Care Delivery is ranked one of the lowest. 5. Who should determine the wages or salary? Government or Physicians? 6. What profesional courses are needed to be qualified as a ``medical profesional´ that Nurses, Medical Lab Scientists, Physiotherapists and Pharmacists have not ben exposed to during their undergraduate and post-graduate programs? 7. Can any health professional work in isolation? If No, how should each be paid? Based on input/output or grandiose salary scale? Physicians are not the head of other professional workers. We are all equal contributors to the health care delivery. To think otherwise is a Delusion of Grandiosis.
WE ARE YET TO GET IT RIGHT IN THIS COUNTRY AS CITIZENS. PUBLIC SHOULD BE WELL INFORMED THAT PHYSICIANS ARE NOT THE HEAD OF ANY OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL (Nurses, Medical Lab Scientists, Physiotherapists and Pharmacists,Radiographers). Their position is purely ARROGATORY. I can sense hatred and vile contempt from your comments. I feel so bad when so called "educated peope" display their foolery and gross ignorance on social platforms. Just to exonerate your egocentric opinions you went ahead to disgracing yourself by alluding physicians are not fit to hold the title 'Doctors". I know your type; You were not intelligent enough to get medicine, hence, your blatant loathe for the profession. You even went as far in a bid to vindicate your assertions by making a rather myopic and deluded statement that the decadence in the health is as a result as Doctors being the heads of health care institutions as if there's any sector that is working properly in the country. Medical Doctors will always be the leaders in the health sectors, albeit the art of healing is multifaceted. Doctors should never sabotage the efforts of others toward career progression but I'm vehemently against parity in remunerations and other benefits; it's ridiculous, preposterous and grossly unacceptable anywhere in the world. |

In as much the op' is right in some aspects, there are still some areas to be redressed . The profession of medicine is an adored and respected one anywhere in the world.I think the pays and work environment brouhaha is more peculiar to the Nigeria setting. The decadence in our economic system has affected every profession not only medicine, so the idea of study other courses aside medicine is null and void; barring the ease of getting admission. Someone mentioned Guidance counselling as a tool to reorientate the inexperienced students but how many will yield to advices at the end of the day? Nigerians like trying out things before succumbing. Also, no profession should be studied because of its lucrativeness or whatsoever; It's a bad idea. Invariably, people marrying for beauty alone is destructive and preposterous. People should understand there's a big difference between a business and a profession; This is where Some Nigerians get it wrong. A business is driven by the monetary values while a profession is geared by the passion and zeal to cope with whatever it throws at you. I stand to be corrected, almost every profession is Nigeria is demanding and energy sapping but business can be conducted anyday anytime without much stress and upheaval. I'd rather the op encourage those in the profession to acquire assests and set up private businesses rather than denigrating and debauching the profession. However, the basis of picking a profession should be passion- driven ,and not monetary wise. It's the passion that keeps one moving in the face of challenges and intimidations. |

Ksudr: Kogi state university medical students are currently in the school senate building protesting for the accreditation of the faculty of medicine that has not been accredited by the medical council for 5 years now.. The students has been in the faculty for 7 years without professional examination to qualify them for clinical training in the teaching hospital.
pls take this to front page for the world to see it. We really need the government to expedite actions to Accrediting the college. This depicts the pitiable state of Nigeria's education system..The Medical and Dental council has failed in its onus to carry out its functions and activities professionally. I think we need an overhaul in that regulatory agency. Why would a sane tertiary institution commit the abominable mistake of admitting students when formal approval of accreditation has not been granted thereby subjecting students to hardship, lamentations and uncertain future. I'd advice the students and persons affected to utilise the availability of social media outlets to air their grievances locally and internationally if need be. The most ironic is that the students probably are still subjected to paying school fees and other charges, this is terrible and impulsive. And this is an eye opener to prospectives of medical schools in Nigeria to make comprehensive enquiries on any medical school they wish to pick to avoid unnecessary lamentations and frustration. Personally, I advice against state medical schools. cc: lalasticala, fynestboi, mynd44. This deserves front page. |
