F*** Pete!
Old fool!
Best response! I think producers feel the same way about him, that's why his currently unemployed- he is too pompous. He can produce his own movie, play the role of igwe and interpret it perfectly. Of course he cant cause he's broke!

CareerRe: CFA Candidates In The House by mrjingles(m): 10:23am On Aug 18, 2010
Tolu, are you not reading the CFA curriculum? My guy that wrote L3 suggested reading notes and using curriculum as reference. I have heard several conflicting ideas, but am sticking to my own reading style, it hasn't failed me since University! All i need do is increase the time and intensity.

I go cover the whole curriculum at least once before any notes (notes wd be for review). No need to forget bible dey read only tracts. Thats my style though, everybody has their own techniques. Care to share anyone?

Never heard of CORS or whatever but me thinks Lagos state govt is one of the better ones in the country so if they say its useful u can bet your Gonads that it is. Dem no dey do useless projects for Lag o!

Bros Nigeria is not even in the list of countries on the payment window. Maybe ur case was before this year. The lady i spoke to clearly told me they dont accept credit card payments. Policy don change bro. Stalla accept credit cards frm here though.
CareerRe: CFA Candidates In The House by mrjingles(m): 9:26am On Aug 06, 2010
I used GTVISA and it went, seems master card is a bit iffy, I tried GT Naira Mastercard but it bounced and the customer care told me they blocked it for security upgrade. Scwheser doesnt accept credit card payments from Nigeria, you order by phone and wire the cash. Tolu hw far with my loan? grin

My position is that its the man that makes the certificate and not the other way round. The pali may get you thru the door but all the paper on this earth wont save a non performer. The paper only tells the employer that you MAY cut it but performance cannot be argued with.

There must be a clear plan, my friend has ican and cisa now he is going for cfa, i fail to see the plan there, its more like covering all the bases rather than specializing. I have only bsc and ican and am not doing too badly if i must say so myself. Am writing cfa now cos i have a clear plan and i need a new challenge not just for the pay.

^^ I agree, spreadsheet is actually a tool for modelling. The model itself refers to the formulae you build to analyse and forecast financial performance or valuation of securities, I think grin

Hi guys,
On abuja commodities exchange, the story so far aint too good, there are lots of stuff to be put in place. Warehousing, product standards, etc. If i do a deal for 500 bushels or mudus or derica or whatever measure of maize, there has to be that quantity sitting in some warehouse somwhere. Those structures are not in place yet.

Talking about hedging instruments, our equities market is still inefficient we must bcome efficient before sophisticated stuff comes in. As suggested, the banks and big coys can kick start with b2b transactions/instruments but i doubt their capacity to pull it off. We surely need market makers to provide liquidity in the equities market, lots of rich pickings for banks there but they may not have the skill set to exploit it.
Just my tots, sorry if i repeat anything that has been said, just discovered this thread.
