CrimeRe: Nigerian Hoteliers Enabling Internet Fraudsters Activities - EFCC by MrMcJay(m): 10:14pm On Sep 14, 2021
Efcc is a funny organisation, that is how they always embark on voyages of discovery. This was how they imposed SCUML registration on lawyers. Lawyers took them to court and the Efcc lost woefully.

Let the hotels' association take the Efcc to court. The Efcc is bound to lose as they always do. Nigeria has laws, test them and you'll be surprised.
The next time an hotel is raided, guests harassed and privacy breached, contact a lawyer and sue the Efcc with heavy damages. The Efcc is guaranteed to lose and the court will award heavy damages.

Hmm. So this is a case of fraud by the company?
I don't even understand. How would the company be defrauding itself?
The guy resigned and was paid salary a month after he resigned and the company claimed he absconded? Nawa oh
They are employees of the company. The ex staff submitted a resignation letter and they received it, only to pay him again. Then, they will now retrieve the money from the ex staff and share it within themselves.

Instead of engaging a lawyer to fight the adverse party using the brand name, I suggest that you use the money to trademark the name. Hence, it moves from "the" brand name to "your" brand name.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Ever Help Someone And You Landed Into Trouble?? ... Share by MrMcJay(m):
There was someone one time who got a new employment through a recruitment agency and needed a lawyer as Guarantor. His mom is a neighbour to my mom and so, I obliged him.
Subsequently, he was employed.
A few years later I got a call from his workplace that he had absconded and he was paid his salary a month after he resigned. I told them to deduct it from the salary of the accounting officer who paid him but they said I had to either produce him or pay it on his behalf. When I called him, he told me that there were several deductions from his salary and they couldn't justify it. He also said they were deducting tax and pension but they were not remitting pension to his PFA.

Next thing, the company called the Police and those ones invited me to the station. I went there and they asked me to write a statement. I wrote that I stood as a Guarantor for someone who was employed and unfortunately had resigned. I wrote that he resigned because they were deducting tax and pension and they were not remitting. I further added that the action to pay the ex-employee after resignation was designed by the Hr and Company accounts department to defraud the company. Thereafter, I left the station.

That evening, the people who reported to the station called and started begging. I just ignored them and told them to provide proof that they remitted deducted tax and pension to the tax guys and the PFA.

2 days later, I wrote a petition and sent a copy to the company, pointedly accusing the MD of fraud by not remitting deducted funds. The MD called me and was crying. She offered to come to my office to apologise properly. I told her not to worry but to send me what I requested for.

We are still on the matter and I will make sure they are made scapegoats for others to learn from.

CareerRe: Ari Saartenoja Flies Ignatius Asabor Who Makes Drones To Finland, Gives Him Job by MrMcJay(m): 2:09pm On Aug 23, 2021
That boy was guaranteed to fail in Nigeria.
Nigeria has a law that prohibits drones from flying without a license issued by the NSA. So even if he made those drones himself, Nigeria made it illegal for him to fly them.
In Nigeria, this boy would have been a nobody. Some people who have never managed a single tech business and have never invented any thing in their lives are the ones drawing up tech policies in Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: EFCC Arrests Yewande Sadiku, Detains And Questions Her Over Fraud by MrMcJay(m): 5:05pm On Aug 10, 2021
Since the current head of the NIPC who happens to be the first from the South was appointed, Yewande Sadiku has been embroiled in one legal tussle or the other since she assumed office as NIPC Executive Secretary. This is usually instigated by the usual quarters.

2019,
Ali Sani versus Yewande Sadiku.
Yusuf Mustapha versus Yewande Sadiku
Babangida Nguroje versus Yewande Sadiku

2020,
Aura Maisamari versus Yewande Sadiku

If you check the writer of the petition the Efcc is acting on, you will see that it will be from the usual suspects. They are pained that a Southerner occupies a position that has never been occupied by a Southerner.

Here's the list of former Executive Secretaries of the NIPC
Mustapha Bello
Abdulkadir Hassan
Saratu Umar

This is the same thing they did to Mrs. Azinge of the Corporate Affairs Commission until she was hounded out of office. She was the first Registrar General of the Cac from the South in more than 2 decades.

TijaniAbu:
Which good reputation does Yewande Sadiku have before? It is a known fact that she and NIPC Directors including Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the wife of Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq were summoned to be questioned by ICPC since 2019 after they stole the place dry from false invoicing.

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/369142-exclusive-icpc-summons-nine-board-members-of-nigerian-investment-promotion-council.html

The ICPC summon suggests many of the board members have questions to answer on their activities at the agency.

See the full names of the invited members below.

Babangida Nguroje

Adebayo Odejimi

Olufolake Abdulrazaq

Grace Gekpe she

Ayinlowo Obiseasan

Eloho Samuel

Uwatt Bassey

Sunday Edet

Mustapha Suliaman
What was the outcome of the ICPC investigation?
The other Northerner who later took her to court for another matter entirely, what came out of it?

You should know that anyone can send a petition for investigation and once found not culpable, your petition is discountenanced. The motives of her detractors are open for all to see. All those against her have been Northerners.

All the 13 PDP governors attended the meeting. Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki who was expected to flag-off the PDP e-registration exercise at the party’s National Secretariat, did not attend. The function was performed by Secondus.
Obaseki has still not stopped this his behaviour of dribbling PDP.
Cunning old fox.
