I am a travel thread addict. So, I know the visa question will soon pop up. I am on PTDF scholarship. All expenses paid scholarship. Except the stress of running around and completing some documents, everything was handled by PTDF. It was still stressful. I paid for the Visa but it will be refunded. Student's Long State Visa VLT-TS is N22k in Abuja and N44k in Lagos. The difference is due to the ignorance of VFS staff in Lagos centre. My visa took only 1 week, while other scholars that used Abuja collected their Visa within 2 days. So it was very simple. Flight ticket is N699,995k, again, everything was paid by PTDF. I finally left Tuesday and got to CDG Airport Paris on Wednesday morning. I was welcomed by a team from Campus France. A very nice driver that took me around Paris, then to the train station to my final destination.

After the entire incident, we were lodged in Rockview hotel same night. But due to the shock and trauma, no one enjoyed the superb services the hotel offered us. We were rescheduled to fly the next day through Addis Ababa Ethiopia to Paris. A very long journey. Abuja - Addis Ababa = 4hrs, flying 37k ft with the speed of 823km/hr Addis Ababa - Paris = 6:30mins, flying @ 41kft with the speed of 857km/hr. See pictures of Rockview hotel (Royal palace) where we lodged. All expenses paid by Airfrance including our transport to and fro the hotel and feeding. (We have the option of ordering for anything we desire, everything was paid by airfrance).

My near plane crash experience I thought I would be leaving Abuja to Paris on Monday last week, well, I left but returned back to Abuja same day. Lol. In less than 20 minutes from take off, we perceived the smell of smoke. It was so intense that we raised alarm. Lo and behold, the engine of the plane is faulty. , I couldn't breadth again. I thought of the news the next day of a plane crash, AirFrance 0818 to Paris, but God did not allow that to happen. The pilot, assistant pilot and flight supervisor received a smoke alarm and was told to return to Abuja immediately. But will the plane reach Abuja? We turned back and headed to Abuja Airport. Waiting for us were fire fighting trucks and officers. Luckily for us, we made an emergency landing, landing far away from other planes. We landed in the airfield side of the airport and were escorted gently by fire fighters and other security personnels. It was an experience, a sad one but all thanks to God. So see random photos the Airport. Compared to what I saw in Ethiopia, our international wing is much better than the Addis Ababa Airport.

. I think the fund stopped paying after the 3rd year which is the basis of the letter. If it was clearly stated in the Award letter that the fund will pay for the 4th year, then they have to comply else... |
awoofawoo:Abuja |
awoofawoo:28k. 3 days |
abdolleez:There's a place for you to upload how your studies would be funded. You don't need to upload your insurance. |

Just go for the international passport incase they reject the NIMC paper. Payoneer once rejected that paper and I was forced to get the International passport |
abdolleez:https://pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/authentification/login.html Please visit here and complete the application. Create and account, click on "I am accepted" to start your application. Please use chrome for translation from French to English. That is the process bro

healthserve:She just said she doesn't have a capital. |
sleit:Your quickest route to an ID is International passport. Pay for express and retain your account. |
Predstan:I learned it isn't advisable to go on a weekend. |
Predstan:Very fine, just putting things together little by little. Everything about my travel is done by PTDF. I have given them my travel date, so they will book the flight and send the ticket to me. I don't even know how much the ticket is, lol. Your date is first week right? |
Predstan:So you will receive yours soon |
Predstan:I am sure you will receive a response tomorrow or next. Most people for student Visa got a mail from them today. |
omeje4real83:Great to hear sir. Which school boss? |
omeje4real83:The courses in the first year of Master, General Physics was covered in our Final Year. Physics is the same everywhere save that the experience of the lecturers and the application matters. I am currently going for an MSc in Nuclear Engineering. However, most people who applied to University of Grenoble Alps were admitted for M2 after verifying their transcript. Few of them will only take one or two M1 courses. My point is that rejections are based on things you can't substantiate. Most of them give one general reason and there's nothing anyone can do about it. |
Predstan:Oh great |
Predstan:All PTDF Scholars who used the Lagos Consulate are yet to get a response. They were told that the person responsible is on leave. |
Predstan:Yes but even with scholarship, those that submitted their passport in vfs Lagos are yet to get it back. Some are getting to a month already. |
For students that applied through Lagos Consulate, we have info and reason to believe that student visa applications are delayed because someone responsible for such visa is on leave and the consulate is working on getting a replacement. As odd as it may sound, it is true, so anyone who applied for a study visa in Lagos may have experienced some delays. In Abuja, study visa applications are processed in one week. |
Mightyking22:Well, it depends on the school and program. For some schools, you'd need proof of Engligh proficiency while for others, it is not required. If you can get a certificate from your school stating that English was the language of your undergraduate study, then you may not need any other proofs. The French schools are stubborn and they decline application for no just reason. Imagine that I applied for Master program (M1 General Physics) and it was rejected because of unsuitable undergraduate studies. Lol, with a B.Sc in Physics and Astronomy while most of their undergraduate studies over there is just for 3 years, ours is 4 years. Their M1 curriculum was covered in our final year, so for schools like University of Grenoble, they take you for M2 after looking at your transcript. My point is that you never can tell the mood of the person assessing your application |
demmysoft:Drop your mail bro. |
Predstan:Drop your mail bro. I can't access the email connected to this account |
davide470:Thanks bro. Thanks for the info. I will do that in France. @Predstan, which part of France are you going to? Mine is Nantes. IMT Atlantique |
Predstan:We were told by Campus France that the OFII is no longer applicable in France. |
Predstan:Thanks bro. How do I know is I can use same visa to enter into other Shengen zones? The visa type is Type D, Multi entry, Sauf CTOM |
Predstan:I see. Just collected my passport and the Visa is on it. Long stay multiple entry visa. Thanks guys |
Predstan:Have been looking for a travel mate. Are you in Abuja? I will be moving from Abuja |
Bettymi:Be patient with them. We don't have option than to be praying for the application whenever it gets to the hand of the decision maker. We all pray and hope for positive outcome. |
