in the grading, please can someone make use of NECO result instead of Waec? Or can someone make use of WAEC GCE for private candidate and with a year that is just before graduation from University?
1. Of course you can! WAEC and NECO are equivalent certificates

2. You can use anything provided it is logically right. Remember, someone will be judging your documents and any slightest reservation on anything may not work in your favour.

One of the major challenges students who study in France must deal with and overcome is accommodation.

They are three types of accommodation options you have:

1. Government owned (CROUS: Not everyone have access to this because it is cheap). This is the one I live in.
2. School accommodation: Owned by the school. Anyone can get this provided you have the money.
3. Private residence: Owned and managed by individuals. Fully furnished and expensive to live in.

Below are pictures of private residence very close to the school.

The pics below is a bird in their cage outside our apartment. It's just very close to the apartment but aside. The birds are owned by residents. This is how it works.

You buy one from the owners for 16 euros. They will house it, feed it, and protect it for you while you own the eggs it lays. So everyday, they will bring an egg for you provided it laid an egg that day.

It's their selling strategy. Just buy it and forget about the rest. However, I don't know what will happen to the bird when it stops laying an egg

All of us are not the same o. Does someone with a 3.50 Gp ( or any low 2:1) stand a chance? and also, is it more difficult to study there i.e considering practicals, learning aids, grading system( sadist lecturers everywhere in naija) and amount of tasks and assignments at a time?
also, I heard when one has a carry over. they are given exams again(second chance).... how true is that?
NB: i am the type who likes following silently. But i must commend your openness.
Thanks a lot.
@ the emboldened.

1. In the grading system used by PTDF, everything have a value/point. First Class = 21 pts (points) or so, Second Class Upper = 18 Pts or so and it continues like that. Secondly, WAEC plays an important role. A = 5pts; B, C, D, E, F = 4pts, 3pts, 2pts, 1pts, 0pts respectively. PTDF works with 5 WAEC subjects, so your WAEC scores in those subjects also determine your chances.

2. I can't say what it's like studying here since we haven't started our main course. But with the intensive French class that we are having for 2 weeks even though our courses are taught in English, I can say it's easier to learn here. The lecturers ensure you learn. They don't admit too many students in a class. Secondly, while in Nigeria, I didn't have any experience with sadist lecturers. I have heard about them severally and I wonder what it's like learning under them.

3. I can't validate that claim. I haven't written an exam here.

4. Thanks bro. There's nothing to hide.

Have you tried to withdraw to local account directly (our normal Nigerian account) from Payoneer?

If yes, how long did it take?

Thank you

What chance does someone with a 4.0 have?
Good chances, infact same chances with someone with 5.0 GP. It all boils down to your statement of purpose and few other stuffs.

Lol, just try your best bro. Let your 2:1 be a strong one. Your 9ja colleagues are playing with G.P. Some of those GP go scare you. You will see people with 4.7, 4.8, 4.9 bro, that one alone will give you depression when you compare it with yours.

Carmal90:
Who will handle the admission stuff?
Not a straight forward answer. But it's you anyway.

PTDF strategic partnership plays little role here simply because they shortlist names after the schools are done with admission process already. It's a failure on their side.

Germany scholars this year were affected. Getting admission in UK universities is easy.

It is important to state that the scholarship is dependent on your admission status. Imagine telling you not to contact the school during application process and then instruct you to get admission after releasing the names when the admission processes are closed.

All Nice Bro!
Big congrats...

please can you share little about the scholarship application..
and the processes
thanks
Thanks bro. There's a thread that explains the application process and the requirements.

However, the highlevel requirements are listed below.

1. Apply online
2. Get shortlisted for interview
3. Go for interview
4. Get selected
5. Admission and the rest.

wow. what a neat palce and nice view.

I thinking I would be considering IMT Atlantique come next year.

I was checking ecole polytechnic before but the reviews from quora and other site was hurrible. from facilities to management, clinic and kitchens..

but now I added IMT Atlantique
to my list next year insha Allah.
It's fine. Ecole Polytechnic is the leading engineering school in France. I don't know why the negative review though. Lol. It might come from people who passed through the American or Uk schools where everything is automated. Here in France, you have to be patient about everything. It's not that fast compared to UK schools.

IMT Atlantique is fine, cool, neat, lovely with good standards too.

Well done guy, I just graduated from IMT Atlantique, I could see the feel of Nantes all through the picture. Nantes was a green city with breathtaking view all around. I spent 3 semester here, before I moved to Paris for my internship. All the best in your study.

I didn't take much pictures today. In the days to come, the student union will be organizing a program called "Know your city". We will be visiting many places, museums, etc. within the city centre.

TravelRe: My France Picture Gallery by mrphysics(op): 6:40pm On Sep 19, 2019
The concluding part of the welcome program is a lecture on cross-cultural relationship. A consultant in that field was invited for the training. It was a nice one because most people actually say it's their first time being in the midst of people from different countries, regions, and cultures.

Well, for us Nigerians, we used to multi-ethnic relationship and it's not new to us relating with people from different places.

Yours sincerely had to kill the spirit of African time by being so early to the training.

good one Mr physics.

my question is that were you allowed to travel with food stuff like rice and beans. would france Immigration allow that through because I would be traveling next year insha Allah.

and how about the kitchen, can you snap some pictures there for us. and wouldn't be any congestion there especially when people are rushing in the morning for class.

and which one do you think is cheaper, cooking or buying food.

thanks
I have attached the pictures of the kitchen room for each floor. It's very lonely at all times because most people here do not cook. Only few people go into the kitchen and spend time (you hardly see it). They are many restaurants, bars, etc around and most French young people believe in eaten out. In the morning, the French people have a time for breakfast. So the kitchen is very empty in the morning.

The kitchen has 2x3 burner, that is 6 burner space, allowing 6 people to cook at the same time.

Can someone on this kind of scholarship decide not to come back but to remain and work in the country after graduation?

Cc mrphysics
Sure. Though we signed a bond to come back but it's not compulsory if you have something doing here. It's just a way of making sure you don't overstay your visa doing nothing.

Transportation is expensive however, with the Tan card, it becomes cheap. You pay monthly instead of the daily pay that I currently do. I was surprised to see that it's more costly for people who are above 26 years. I went with someone who is below 26 and he paid only 41 euros for a month against the 69 euros I paid. huh huh

I want to go back in age cheesy cheesy
