Congrats Eeyah, you will soon receive collection message. The most important thing is for it to be positive bro. I will begin the Visale application process immediately. My travel date is September 7th shaaa so I still have like a month. |

SLAP44: Check the signature projects around it and see who's building them. The article clearly states Ebonyi rural electrification Agency.
Is that school the only one in the country? Why is it only this one working?
Think! My friend stop arguing what you didn't know. The project was sponsored and done by the Federal Government. Fashola even spoke about it as one of the ministry of power's intervention in Universities during his screening at the senate. |

Predstan: Yes. Because they are just extorting us. After September 2019, students will not have to go through vfs anymore but campus France. For example. I was suppose to pay 15k at vfs as well according to campus France website because we already paid 15k to campus France(no scholarship) but those guys go collected the 44k.
How were you able to convince them to pay 22k? Lol, serious extortion, one PTDF guy was nearly sent off the vfs centre in Lagos when he insisted that he was supposed to pay 22k. When I got to vfs and showed them my PTDF award letter, they started asking each other if it is half payment or no payment. I told them that Campus France said we should pay 22k and that is what I came with. They agreed and said I will also pay their service charge which is 5k. Now, PTDF may not refund 44k because that is not what we are supposed to pay, they will refund the half payment to us, I just kept my payment slip. Campus France said we should get their names, I mean those who insist you pay 44k. They are also working towards reimbursing those that paid 44k. |

Predstan: Did you go through campus France. You are good to go with PTDF scholarship Yes bro. I went through Campus France. We were told that visa fee for us is 22k while vfs still collect 44k from applicants especially in Lagos. I paid 27k though, that is 22k plus their 5k service charge. I think from next year, students won't have anything to do with vfs. |

I submitted my application at the vfs today in Abuja. Those vfs staffs can be frustrating. I only have one reservation, the DoB on my Waec certificate is wrong by a day. Instead of 13th, it was 12th. But I didn't submit the Waec anyway as we were told it's not needed for postgraduate studies rather copies of degree certificate.
I have a fully funded PTDF scholarship. Should I be worried? |

czarina: Upworkers, please what could be happening?
On Saturday, I requested a fund transfer to my bank via Direct bank transfer(powered by Transfast), no feedback till now, it's has been cleared from my Upwork account balance but I haven't gotten anything yet.
Usually, it takes a few minutes for the funds to come but now I don't understand what could have gone wrong. One thing I have learned is never to initiate a transaction on weekends. I avoid it. Starting from 12pm on Fridays. How much is the Transfast landing rate? |

I just opened a FirstBank dorm account, but I am awaiting its confirmation.
Thank you. I am very sure of Payoneer withdrawal fee which is $15. I don't know if First Bank have a landing fee. Access (Diamond) don't charge me any landing fee. |

At what rate?
Looks like it's about time I ditched my Gtbank for this transaction. I withdraw to a dorm account. So the landing currency is still $$$ |

Emmyk: I've actually never used it.
I know someone that did this last month. For the first time, he was charged just $15, from Payoneer. Total fund was below $100.
He tried the second time and was charged $15 from Payoneer and I think $20 from Gtbank. The total fund was about $200. Access bank doesn't charge any extra fee. I withdrew 3400$ and it landed 3385$. |

mrphysics: Life is about give and take but it all depends on the reference frame. I have no issue with what people do for sex. I have no problem when someone takes money for sex or give it out for free. I am only concerned about equating sex for money.
The first question I asked myself when I read your submission and that of others is "what's the reason for prostitution"; abundance or lack of money? Secondly, what is the value of sex?
Let me give my opinion on the above questions.
1. There is a beginning to everything. The process of a thing is not the beginning of that thing. At at the time a lady decides to indulge in prostitution, how was her life, her needs, and her condition. I do not have a primary data to back this up but from experience, it all began in the lack of the basic amenities, hence the decision to equate sex to money. But what if at that space in time she was considering this great decision she had all she needed, trust me, there is a high probability she would pursue other things of life. Therefore the equation is: Sex(x1,t1) = money (x2,t2) (if and only if at x1 and t1, there is no money) ---------1 Sex /= money (if there is abundance of money @ t=t1)
My point here is that what determines whether of give sex for money is their condition at the time of taking this decision. Therefore it is wrong to equate it simply because of its present time in space.
I doubt you at this time would give sex for money, however, a simple research in brothels or with those that give sex for money might prove this point right. 2. The value of sex: The value you genuinely accord to sex determines it's actual value if it goes same way. A slay queen that offers sex for money (A) and a sugar daddy that spends money for sex (B) both do not give it same value. To A, Sex = money......... 1 To B, Money = Orgasm... 2 Since sex is not equal to money for the two parties, it is wrong to equate them. The first law of mathematical associations states that A = B iff B = A. All these jargons? |
Family › Re: You Think You're Better Right? by mrphysics(m): 7:53am On Jun 05, 2019 |
sisisioge: Nah...that's the angle you're looking at it from. I'm not seeing prostitution, rather I see mutual exchange. Why would a man spend in a relationship? Because a babe agreed to date him alone? Why not call her a prostitution for dating you , regardless of whether she gives up the cookies or not. The one that didn't give you the cookies must have given you so much too...time, affections, kisses, support, hugs, cooks, cleans, etc.
Again, life is all about give and take. Life is about give and take but it all depends on the reference frame. I have no issue with what people do for sex. I have no problem when someone takes money for sex or give it out for free. I am only concerned about equating sex for money. SoNature: @the emboldened, you are right.
But GTBank and FirstBank charge the same thing.
FCMB and Access are a bit lower.
Don't get me wrong, I am not an exchanger...NO.
But my challenge is that some of the banks that charge lower transaction fees don't dispense up to 20-30k at a go.
This means you have to do lots of transactions and incur lots of charges when you want to withdraw, say 150k.
But I am exploring the option of direct transfer to Nigeria's Dom account. My challenge is time.
Anyone who does ( and not has read about ) direct transfer should enlighten me, please. My current withdrawal method is direct transfer to Dorm account. The first time I initiated the transaction, it took about 3-4 working days. After the first and second transaction, my fund lands within 2 hours. However, I am always careful to initiate withdrawal in the morning. |
Crime › Re: How I Was Defrauded Of N3.2 Million And Almost Depressed by mrphysics(m): 4:33pm On May 31, 2019 |
obc: Kindly, help a soul before late.
My Story:
I paid a guy 3.2million since 2017 to supply me Zinc Ore but he defaulted . I have since reported the matter to his father, village king, and town union president, yet no result. I visited his house sometime last year and after much noise, he signed an agreement before his lawyer and my own lawyer to pay effective April last year, but reneged again.
His village king as well as his lawyer have since lost interest in the matter. They advised that having exhausted all peaceful means of recovering the fund; I am at liberty to explore other options since the guy refused to oblige.
I don't want to arrest him with the police in his state of residence because I know he can easily riddle his way out. Considering our judicial system, I think going to court would prolong the case.
A friend suggested that since I live in Lagos and him at the East, the best option will be using EFCC, Special Fraud Unit or Force CID to arrest him (debtor) after obtaining approval from IG's office which seems to be expensive. I visited SFU Ikoyi and was told that the petition to IG will cost me 60,000 to 100,000 while mobilization for the officers that will go for his arrest amounts to 250,000.
The above fund put together is almost 400,000 naira or more, which I don't have at the moment. I have since put my car for sale to pursue this case.
I have lost a lot in the course of traveling for this debt. I lost my job last year because I couldn't continue servicing the loan I took from First Bank and my place of work as well.
My wife is now the pillar of the family. The situation around me is so pathetic.
Please I need suggestions and anyone that can assist me pursue this case. I have print out of all the payment made to him(debtor), signed agreement by him and other documents.
Please help a brother.
I will appreciate if the moderators can help me push this post to front page. I am totally devastated with no hope at sight. Take this solution and thank me later. Come to Abuja. Visit Brekete Family. Request to see the Ordinary President or Akalamakala. The day your case will be treated on air will be the day you will receive your money. Don't sell your car if you haven't visited the ordinary president. Thank you. I forgot to add. The ordinary president will not take any penny from you rather he will even give you money to eat pending the resolution of your case. |
