Has anyone recently applied on new portal and make payment successfully , because it's declining transaction I keep having even after I used subscribed access bank signsture card for payment.

Try using Visa credit card or visa prepaid card that is also registered for online banking.

Please house I need answers.

Can I apply for pgc/pgd with ND result?
What can I apply in Canada with ND result.

Yes you can apply for pgc/Pgd with an ND result but you need to also have some years of job experience in that program and lastly you need to contact the school first to get assurance before applying.most school require that you have a first degree or a 2year or 3year diploma. Some state categorically that the 2 years diploma must be from a canadian school

I am a spouse of a PGWP holder currently in canada.

You need to first request for your GCMS notes to find out the main reason why your visa application was refused before you can takle the problem properly.

a quick question. someone that has been banned from the UK.
does this affect USA too?
.

Here is the link to a document containing an agreement between the USA, UK and Ireland on the sharing of information when it comes to visa applications.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/282580/8790.pdf
So after reading this and you choose to lie in your US visa application, it would be interpreted as fraud and misrepresentation and you risk a lifetime ban from the US.
So the choice is all yours.

Thank u so much for your quick respond.

I paid for my vise fees b1/b2 b4 the lockdown which is still valid.

Am having my interview first week of March. Should I stick with my church program which is p-1 or i should go for b1 /b2. What do you think

B1/B2 visa is not meant to be used for employment purpose. If your main reason for travelling to the USA is to seek employment as an instrumentalist in Church then you would be needing a visa that falls under the artist or entertainer class and that Visa is a P visa. To get a P visa your employer first needs to file a petition with USCIS for a temporary foreign worker and pay all the necessary fees over there in the U.S . If the petition is approved then you can apply for a P Visa .
n.b. you can't apply for a P visa without first submitting a petition and getting an approval from USCIS.
So if your visa appointment with the embassy is in March and you applied for B1/B2 already, telling a visa officer that your reason for travelling to the USA is to seek employment as an instrumentalist in church won't be approved. You stand a better chance if your plan is to attend a church program as a visitor.

Is it true that one cant apply for visa in a country where one is not a permanent residence.. if one is in UK and not yet a permanent residence, can one apply for visa to Canada.

You can apply but you stand a better chance if you are a permanent resident of the UK. It is difficult to demonstrate to the visa officer of having strong ties to the UK if you are a temporary resident.

Yes

If you will be paid then b1/b2 is not the right visa for you . You will need a visa that falls under performance artist and that's P Visa. To get this visa your employer needs to file a petition for you over there in the USA and when the petition is approved by USCIS you can then apply for a visa at the American embassy or consulate.

Okay.. Lemme explain further..

She went to canada for a 2yrs course and was ought to be given a 3yrs pgwp but because her passport was to expire before the 3yrs, they gave her 2yrs. Now she has renewed her passport and wants to apply for a pgwp extension.

My query is, isnt pgwp extension applied online and not paper.

If she is still inside Canada and after getting a new passport she wants to apply for an extension to get the full PGWP, she must apply on paper. Below is the link .

Good day guys.. Quick one.

I have someone that wants to apply for a PGWP extension. She sees on Canada.ca link that one can only apply for an extension in person that is Paper and not online. How true is this please.

You can find the answer to your question by clicking on the link below.
Post graduate work permit can only be extended only if at the time of getting your PGWP your passport had some few months left to expire and since you can't be issued a pgwp longer than your passport expiry date , in such a case either you would be told by IRCC to submit a new passport to get your full lenght pgwp or you would be given a pgwp to last you till your passport expires . Then after bringing a new passport your PGWP would be extended to cover the remaining months or years left for your full PGWP.

Pls my bro school is university Canada west ooo. I have tried to read through their refund policy but couldn’t find any information on banned students. Pls people should help me to check too. 4million naira no be paper Abeg

I have gone through their refund policy and didn't find any write up about a no-refund policy if an applicant is denied a study permit due to misrepresentation or fraud.
One thing I could come up with is that the school doesn't seem to be a good University. Though it is a designated learning institution but not all programs in the university qualifies you for a post study work permit after graduating. The list of program that gets you qualified for PGWP can be seen by clicking on the link below.
Lastly check for reviews about the school online and you will find a lot of negative reviews.
I wish you good luck and I hope you are able to get your refund at the end.

Could it probably be a student visa??

If you are only coming to play for prize money , you will need a B1/B2 visa.

Currently there is one that expires by march 2022 that allows from visitor visa to work permit. But you will need to find an employer with an approved LMIA to hire you.

@frankrobben

Kindly get across to me.

I need your input, i just got served a refusal letter.

I am new here, i do not know how nairaland works.

i was refused on this grounds.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

Please and please

It's more like the generic response given to applicants whose study permit application were refused. Seems to be a problem with Home ties and weak financial status. But to get to the real reason why your study permit was rejected you need to apply for your gcms notes.

It's like this new IRCC website is faster than usual o. A friend of mine applied late December and she already got her study permit as at yesterday.
I guess I'll have to reapply through this new website

I know of someone who submitted a study permit application this month (January 2022) using the new portal and received a decision exactly 2weeks after . Though his application wasnt approved. But all I can say is that the new portal seems to be very fast.

Hello all, please how do i calculate total amount available for my stay in Canada and room and board. My program is 2 years and Total tuition for my first year is 15,000 and I have paid 8,000. Thank you

Tuition for 2 years would be $30,000cad . Then feeding and accommodation would be $20,000 for two years. But if your school is in Quebec province your feeding and accommodation would be $22,000cad for 2 years. So adding tuition and feeding you would need to show at least $50,000 for a 2year program if your school is outside Quebec and $52,000 if your school is in the the Quebec province.
I made the calculation based on $15000 tuition.
I hope that helps.

Good Day Everyone,

Please I would like to know what next to do, attached is my application status. After sending several emails and webform as suggested on the platform, I finally got a response on the 5th on January from Nairobi and on the 10th of January from IRCC, attached is the response I got. My initial start date was 10th January 2022 but I had to Defer it to 7th March 2022. The following are my questions,

1. Should I upload my new Letter of Acceptance Via Webform and Email?

2. Should I also add my bank statement as well or it isn't necessary?

3. Is there any other documents I need to add as well?

4. Should I continue sending IRCC emails and webform even after the response I got?

5. Is there anyone who has my timeline of submission 6th September 2021, Medicals Passed 25th October 2021 and still waiting for a response/PPR from IRCC? Btw I have already done my Biometric from a visiting visa application in 2020 so I don't need it cause its still valid on my profile for 10years.

Thank You for the anticipated Response.
God Bless

From the look of things I think your application is in its final stage and a decision is about to be made based on the fact that they are already reviewing your eligibity. So just relax and hope for the best outcome
Good luck

But how about, going for Msc after my 1 yr PGCert 3 to 4 months after.
How fast is the visa or easy it is?

You wont be needing a new visa since you won't be travelling out of canada . Usually after your program you can stay in canada up till 90days ( if you dont plan to apply for a pgwp) or the expiry date on your study permit whichever comes first . But in your case since you intend to start a new program and it takes about 4months before the new program starts I would advice you stay for the 90day but before the 90days expires you apply for your study permit extension. Which usually takes a about 58days to process then as soon as it is ready you can start your new program.
When applying for study permit extension in Canada you are usually not required by IRCC to show proof of funds. But just make sure you pay your school fees. And another advice to you is that you try to apply for your second program on time even before you finish the first semester of your first program.
N:B immediately after you finish your first program you need to stop working if you are doing any part time job. Only start working again when you get your new study permit
