bioladebs93:Since you have been out of school for a long time, your best option is to go for a program that leads to career progression. But since you are now into business and you studied business administration you can still go for a diploma program in business management or other related programs. What kind of business are you involved in? |

bioladebs93:The least expensive colleges in Canada can be found in the Atlantic provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward island. The list of colleges with low tuition in these provinces are; Nova Scotia community college New Brunswick community college College of the north atlantic Holland college . Since 2014 what job have you been doing? What program did you study in the polytechnic? 1 Like 2 Shares |

Filanodivine: Every school has its own policy when it comes to refund . Secondly if you read well at the end, I said it is the best option for someone who doesn't want to return home to apply for a new study permit . So if you look at it either ways if you decide to go back to your country to reapply or change school after attending the first school for weeks or months you would loose some money. So it's all up to you to make a decision that would be most favorable. |

Faeyth:. Yes the one certifying that you have completed secondary school. I hope you don't have a study gap of more than 5years? I am asking because I know Durham college doesn't admit Nigerians with more than 5years study gap into their undergraduate programs. |

Sulaimonsb:. I think you should wait . This is because you still have the rest of June and the whole of July to expect a decision. Since what is left to be done is eligibity , that means a decision on your application is very close. I hope you have done your biometrics? I am asking because you didn't make mention of it in your write up , but I assume it has been done since , the MP you contacted told you in his reply that criminality check has been passed. Good luck |

JDB55: No they are not the same. With the work permit that comes with study permit , you are only allowed to work 20hrs per week when school is in session or unlimited hours during holidays. But with the co op permit you can work unlimited hours if that job is part of your study program. You will be issued a co op work permit together with your study permit if when you applied for your study Visa you submitted a letter of acceptance showing that your program has a compulsory work placement as part of the curriculum to complete that program. But if you applied for a program that has an optional work placement and during the time of applying for the program you didnt select the option with a coop then you will be issued a study permit without co-op permit. If you decided later into the program that you still want to take part in the coop job placement while you are already in Canada, you can still apply for it separately and you would be issued as far as the program has an option for co-op. The advantage of a coop program is that apart from gaining practical experience in your program of study, you can work unlimited hours with your coop permit at your place of job placement and also work extra 20hrs per week at another job with the work permit included with your study permit . 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Eyegroup: You can help yourself by telling us about your educational qualifications and what kind of program you are interested in . After giving us this information, I guarantee you that a lot of people on this platform would search for schools offering programs that match your description and also guide you in applying . One thing you have to note is that , most colleges or universities in Canada requires you to pay an application fee before you can submit an application into any of their programs. |

Litey8: Using the link below; https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-processing-times.html According to their latest update processing a Canada study permit from Nigeria can take up to 19weeks . Using this link is better because you can select the country where you submitted your application. Please also note that in calculating the processing time they didnt include the time it took you to do your biometrics or medicals. |

kichi2000:. According to IRCC to switch schools after obtaining your Visa you must also inform Them. If you are still in Nigeria for example and have gotten your visa and want to switch schools before travelling to Canada, you must inform IRCC and that also means that you would have to submit a new application with a new letter of acceptance. But if you have already landed in Canada and collected your study permit and later decided to switch schools when you haven't resumed the school you used in getting your study permit you are still required to alert IRCC and you will also be required to leave Canada to apply for a new study permit from home because the one you are already having will be cancelled and rendered invalid . So your best option is to attend the old school for some weeks or a month or 2 then withdraw from the school . In this case you will also alert IRCC but you wont be required to leave Canada to get a new study permit. This is your best option if you don't want to reapply from outside Canada. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Chemgeek6: New Ircc portal login; https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en Old Ircc website also known as gckey portal login; https://clegc-gckey.gc.ca/j/eng/l?ReqID=s28250d3d00659f7e64bfb60a7a5a061a88fa932c5 People refer to the 2 portals on this platform ,when they are in the process of submitting a visa application for visit or study purposes. The major differences between the 2 websites is that ; when submitting an application using the new portal you dont need to download any form and you wont upload a passport photograph of your self and it is pretty straight forward to complete. But the major disadvantage of the new portal is that you wont be able to upload any document larger than 2mb in size. When submitting an application using the old portal ( gckey portal) the process is longer and you would need to download and validate about 3 forms , depending on if you are the only applicant or more forms if your spouse and other family member is applying with you. You will also upload a passport photograph of the applicant . The major advantage of using the gckey portal is that you can upload a document up to 4mb in size. So since in your own case , you have already submitted your application and you are waiting for a decision . Your best choice is to contact IRCC using webform , or if you know the location of the embassy handling your application you can send them an email to enquire about your application. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Sam796476: For 3 years your tuition would amount to $51,000cad. ($17,000cad × 3years). For your upkeep for 3 years you will need to show $30,000cad. ($10,000cad × 3years). Other miscellaneous expenses like travelling to Nigeria for 3 years will amount to about $6000cad , it could be more or less but let's stick with $6000cad . Adding all together; $51,000cad + $30 ,000cad + $6000cad = $87,000 cad. You will need to be able to show that you have over $87,000cad available for your study. So if you convert $87,000cad to Naira you should have an idea of how much you need to show to prove to the Visa officer that your sponsor is financially capable of taking care of your studies in Canada. Converting Canadian dollar to Naira based on $1cad = 321Naira. You will need to show a bank account with over 28,000,000 Naira. And also note that you should be able to convince the visa officer that your sponsor will be willing to provide you with that money for the 3 years of your study. I hope it helps. 1 Like |

Rach90:. I think you should forward that question to IRCC or the Canadian embassy responsible for your visa application. Secondly after PPR you are usually given about a month to forward your passport to the Canadian VAC , so if the visa is important to you then you don't have a choice but to cut short your vacation and return back home. If for example while on vacation in the UK and something happens to you and the police is involved .They will be needing a form of identification and in your case it will be your passport with visa which will also show that you are in the country legally so if you don't have it with you then it will become a serious problem for you because you don't have any form of identification or document to prove that your stay at that point in time is legal. Lastly don't take the risk of sending your passport to Nigeria, if you are not currently around because if the passport gets to the Embassy and they find the departure stamp on it and cant find an arrival stamp on it then it becomes an issue also. So my best advice to you is to contact Ircc or the embassy handling your application and do as you are told if the visa is important to you. Goodluck 2 Likes |

adepeju1911: Have you been denied a Canadian visa in the past? From my own perspective I would take ; TH: Travel History. CAN refusal declared : would mean you answered yes when answering the question ; have you been denied a Canadian visa in the past. Lastly as you can see it is noted under pre-assesment note. Which mostly likely means this are info you must have given them when you submitted your online application. Please note that this is from my own view and I am not 100% sure if it is correct or not. 1 Like 1 Share |

Jay5050: You said you couldn't access your IRCC account, but I want to ask if the reason you couldn't access your account was because you couldn't remember your login details or because an agent submitted your application on your behalf?. If you forgot your password , then you can simply create another one as far as you remember the email address you used in opening that account , the username and the answers to the security questions you selected when opening your gc account. But if an agent submitted the application on your behalf, then the agent is the only one that can contact IRCC regarding your application and get a response from them. 1 Like |
