It's not all about ego. It's very practical. Some guys will not care dat a lady is in a relationship already or even married they'll keep pestering her. Now for any man worth his salt he will not standby to see dat happen not cos of ego but a simple human reaction to defending wat is precious to u. If some1 was gonna poke u in d eye n your friend defended u will u call it an ego trip?
Come on L REED MEHN!! Getting your eye poked and having a dude in the house while your husband is away two completely different scenarios! Now, let be real you know damn well YALL CAN'T STAND to see another man with yall mate especially yall wives! It cool mehn, I UNDERSTAND yall are built that way to PROTECT, PROVIDE, AND PROFESS. I told my husband he was jealous cos another man was in the house but NOTHING HAPPEN there is nothing to be tripping off of. Now if a woman doesn't respect her husband she going to do whatever regardless if a dude in the house or not. Now if this was some random nigga that popped up then I can understand the protection but if this a man you been friends for a while even before the husband came into the picture then that a little unrealistic to tell your wife or mate to leave her male friends alone. Now if male friends respect you and your marriage he is not going to do anything to mess that up because yall friends. He will make sure the husband knows that everything is cool and respect is up to the tenth power. Now when my husband walked in and saw my male friend sitting on my couch with A COAT AND SOME SNOW BOOTS, he know this brother aint trying to pull no game. They had a talk and an understanding but my husband being who he is, |
I am responding to what someone said, |
kokoye:Whatever! Anyway, Heey Liveit! Nawl he wasn't hurt actually the dog was kinda taken back and was like what wrong with this Negro, my husband is just protective nothing I can do about that. When I was in Africa, the dogs in Ghana especially looked uhmmm weird. It was like a hybrid of something and it didn't look like a typical dog we would see in America. The dogs don't mess with anybody really but for some reason the dog was tripping off me. I was minding my own business and next thing I know I hear some barking, my husband said I musta have called the dog with my nyansh but who knows what happened. Yeah, MOST MEN WANT BOYS to carry their name. Girls typically change their name so the name dies away with the girls. The boys however, keeps the name and the father lives on. That what my husband said and I was like NEGRO WHATEVER, you just want a boy. I don't mind a boy anyways but I would definitely like a girl. Girls are harder to raise than boys but they are worth it after they hit adult cos then you can work them to death! Well that what I do to my nieces anyways! Oh, I remembered something my husband is strong and he can hold me with one arm. He carries things on his head without holding them and I be like damn! |
Glad to hear dat gangstaboo. As 4 interested yeah sure, u seem to b a lively one.
TELL ME WOULD I BE WEARING MY DRESS AFTER ALL BEFORE FOUR MONTHS?!!!! I want to sing at the wedding! The name is Mrs. Eve and Mr. Adam, we will take any seating arrangements as along we are near the bathroom door cos you never know when I gotta purge. ANYWAY, awwwww my baby sister being COURTED ON! Let me sit down, (looking through the cracked doorway) |
Yoruba men ARE SUBMISSIVE? |
(driving through as I flipped my middle finger and wave as I drive off) |
Oh, Dsense, I responded by writing additional excerpt to the thread, I turned it back to the ORIGINAL TOPIC, and I sowwy suga! Forgive me? |
Excuse me Dsense suga let me cuss you first and heal you wounds later! I do not need to copy and paste anything NEGRO! But, I lubs you though boo! I wrote one for the brothers, CHECK IT OUT! |
Omoloa, If they were offering some MONEY you would see blood and weave slanging! |
buzugee:Da hell! I will respond to you when I finish my work. Cos da boss man looking at me! But, I will be back! |
tpia1:Hmmm, Precisely! |
Dear Brothers, PYSCH! |
HUMOUR ME
I see the poison didn't work! ![]() |
Koyoke, I do not have a penis for it better a man write the male version. Why don't you start one! ![]() |
Although I believe love is unconditional but people do have preferences who they want to fall in love with. My preference is BLACK MEN period and that who I love and married. Now people can say that they do not discriminate but that BULLISH, we all have some type of preference so therefore we all love with conditions, But loving someone unconditionally comes later when you have grown closer and attached to the person then nothing they do or say will push you away easy, So if Nigerian men like white chicks because they white, then let them have their preferences, WE SHOULDN'T CARE, |
I seriously doubt that Tipia's comments were going that direction. She was talking about that PARTICULAR PHOTO and couple. However, let keep it real, you know damn well SOME OF YOUR BROTHERS MARRYING FOR PAPERS, so she is not far off. If your friend or you did not marry for papers, THEN WHY YOU DEFENSIVE was my question? |
There aren't that much different between NIGERIANS AND NON-NIGERIANS. You can easily adapt to the Nigerian culture and he can easily adapt to your culture. It not that complicated as people make it to be. IF you really love each others then compromise wouldn't be an issue. SIMPLE! |
Leave it to Tipia to keep it real! Lovejoy, why are you defensive? ![]() |
Sisters, Those comments SOME of the boys wrote they are hurting and obviously conflicted. Do not let that discouraged you from seeing the bigger picture. The thread is not to cause inflictions with your emotions but however to stimulate your mind and open your eyes. If you took an offense to this letter then I do humbly apologize. It not to offend you but to reach your heart in knowing that you are worth more than what you think of your lesser choices. However, you are worth more than what you can ever imagine. Why would you want to be living in such pain and confusion because someone paid you some attention, a wise woman once said ALL ATTENTIONS are not good attention. Sadly we often settles for the bad ones. To all the sisters that spoke with such positivity, I thank you for I am appreciative you understood the letter intentions. Please share this message with your fellow sisters that are not on Nairaland and let them know that there is nothing wrong for settling for what you deserve and be realistic about it. |
excoba101:You don't know ISH about me. One thing to remember NIGGA, If I hate black men I wouldn't be married to one. Back to the thread, I don't know why SOME people is getting mad about the fact that the POSTER had an opinion about HIS OBSERVATIONS on what he saw if he see Nigerian men marrying ugly white chicks so be it. If you know you are not an ugly white chick that married to a Nigerian, WHY ARE YOU GETTING UPSET? It not what PEOPLE CALL YOU, it what you answer to. Move on and keep skipping we can't control people thoughts and emotions. Is it worth it? No! Enjoy your Nigerian husbands or African husbands and keep it moving. Simple. (laughing at two things you hate is black men and white chicks) TRUST THAT AINT IT! |
johndoe200:I suggest that you consult a dictionary before coming into a thread, that what a disclaimer is and I SPECIFICALLY stated that it is not a male bashing thread. Now I am not responsible for your feelings and if you are embarrassed by some of the things that were mentioned in the letter than I suggest you work on them. However, take your feelings and grow some balls. Are there any men in here THAT NOT HURT BY THIS? ![]() |
Dear Sisters, If a man want you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you nothing will make him stay. Please stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. If a man is married and cheating on his wife what make you think he won't cheat on you? Listen to your heart and it won't lead you astray. If you are changing yourself for a relationship, that relationship wasn't meant to be. If having a man is what TRULY MAKE YOU HAPPY then ask your self would you be happy if he leaves you? If you break up with your boyfriend because he mistreats you then you shouldn't be friends with him. What make you think that he would treat you any better being your friend if he didn't respect you as your man? The number one problem we have as women that we settle for what we think we are worth rather then settle for who and what we deserve. If a man doesn't respect his mother what make you think he will respect you? The rule of the theory is WHAT IS DONE BEFORE the relationship will be DONE during the relationship. What is more important to you, YOUR SANITY and well being or A PIECE OF WORTHLESS cock? When you look in the mirror just know that the only thing you can control is YOU. If you date a man with a bunch of children by different women and he never married them, WHAT MAKE YOU THINK you are any different? Your body is YOUR TEMPLE and you should cherish it. A man should never be allowed to dishonor your body simply for a three minutes gratification. What would you say when you allow a man to dishonor your body and leave you with the sticky leftover? You are surely worth more than three minutes. Don't you think so? Remember your man is nothing more than a human being with flaws. You and him are equal in everything even in the household. When you cleave into him you became one with him not one and half. You are just as important as he is and expect that treatment from him for you are his better half. Dating is fun even if HE TURN OUT NOT TO BE MR RIGHT. There is nothing wrong with having some bad experiences when it come to dating then how would you know what you want and will appreciate? Never expect a man to complete you, if something happen to him GOD FORBID would you crumble and die? One last thing, remember that you are important and worth every thing that is offered in this world. IF you do not think you are worth it and cherished how can you expect your man to do the same. What we think and how we behave brings the likes to us. First impression is everything and shine by being you. You were created for a reason and embrace it. Do not worry about what the next woman have remember the grass isn't always green on the other side. Enjoy being you and be appreciative that you are alive and well. A sister didn't wake up this morning or was able to walk out of the door because she died in the hand of a man THAT thought she wasn't worth it. Praise God that it wasn't you and mourn for those who are stumbling to be loved and appreciated. Sincerely Heartfelt, Mrs. Eve Disclaimer: This is NOT A MALE BASHING THREAD (leave your feelings and egos to the minimum) and it an open letter to all the SISTERS and take it with humbleness. What from the heart reaches the heart. (Thank you in advance regardless if the responses are negative or positive ) |
Historically speaking AA men are not cultural grounded and we all know about slavery and diaspora. Now I am not going to go all in details because it will totally derail the thread however AA men were demasculated from being men and trained to be older boys. That all Imma say, |
I for one support limited sex! It not important and you can survive without having an orgasm! However, I can say this though that family interference does BREAK UP THE MARRIAGE OR RELATIONSHIP if it not kept under control. The bible SPECIFICALLY SPEAKS ON about letting too many spectators into your bedroom. I know some of yall aint into spirituality but the message still apply for ALL. I was surprised to find out that in SOME AFRICAN culture that FAMILY IS PART OF THE MARRIAGE, I was like da hell! Now this one dude who is African said that the elders must know if the woman is a virgin and they stand outside the tent waiting until the husband bust a nut then come out with a rag showing blood. NOW THAT TOO MUCH INTERFERENCE FOR ME! |
racheal84:Yes, Racheal I am in America. I am a juicy American born wife of an Igbo man. In comparison, I would pick America over Nigeria. No offense, but Nigeria is a nice country don't get me wrong but to stay. No thanks. I would visit as often as I can but that about as far as homely I will get. You said that your husband had issues coming to America? Did they assumed that some fraud was committed because that what happened with the lady in our church her husband can't come to USA he is not Nigerian but he is Ghanian. They saying they don't they it real marriage but they have a legal marriage certificate. Poor thing. |
Hell, If I was coming out of Nigeria and trying to get to America, hell I would FOUGHT LIKE HELL too! |
