I will answer your question (especially seeing that you re a female ) , but please be honest to all Nairalanders by answering this question .
How old are you ?
God Bless Nigeria . 40 years old. Now can you answer my question? Why are you advising someone looking for a solution to his problem not to disclose his age?? I would like to be to learn from you👀 |

This should be what you should add to what has changed about your profile. Also, if application fee is not a problem apply to other schools. SleepingTablets: @SammySuave.
Don't give out your real age out in the public next time , you can just say am between 20 to 25, men will be men 😊
Now , that VO approved someone before you does not mean automatic approval for you because the VO is not sharing biscuit.
1. Your Answer to the 1st question " Why re you going to the US ? is too common and become an old school karaoke amongst Nigeria F1 visa applicants , so you failed that question .
2. You have answered the 2nd question ' Who will be sponsoring you (my dad ,period..you should have stopped there.) in your first phrase, but after that you continued talking until you talked yourself into problem which the consular officer thinks you have rehearsed or memorized .
3. Your 3rd answer to your study plans after graduation is also the new common song which majority of F1 visa hopefuls sings to the ears of the VO and your own version of the song did not even rhyme to your present situation .
YOUR 2ND INTERVIEW ===================
.1. You repeated your 1st errors in your 2nd interview but the most funny part is your answer to Why BYU ?
Me: I chose Brigham young university Idaho for three main reasons, to begin BYU Idaho is owned and operated by the church of Jesus Christ which I am a member of
2. As interesting to know that United States is a religious country like Nigeria , yet they do not like anything religious attachment , therefore your answer to Why BYU is knocked out .
My friend you have lot of home assignments to do . Your situation combination is the problem as well as how to express yourself to the interview officer .
God Bless Nigeria . Can you throw more light why it is not good to give real age on a public platform 🙁 |

P.s: I didn’t add myself as a sponsor because I am just 2years with the service and it might me questionable (please let me know if I am wrong for this thought)
Please I will like to know the areas I need to add and subtract anything and what I can work on for my next interview. I will appreciate every response Thanks Firstly, what's your first degree? You didn't sell your sponsor very well. Your parent are entrepreneurs into a lot of businesses. Next time try and lead with the business's annual turnover. Always lead with the key point you want the interviewer to know before they rush into conclusion in your case. NSCDC is a Govt security organization and a simple Google search will reveal all the information. ( From my opinion, your place of work is not a good tie… I don't want to ask the figures you filled in your application as basic salary). My opinion, try and get funding, tie the reason you are going for this program towards the current security challenges ravaging Nigeria and how you will be able to solve it. Shalom!!! |

giselle237: They queried it because of child trafficking. People bring in other people’s children and/or their siblings kids as maids and arrange birth certificates quoting their names as though they were the parents. If you truly delivered the child 4 years ago they feel child should have its registration done then or closer to then and not when you are about to get a visa is the point they are trying to make. For exceptional circumstances such as this case where poster says the initial ones were lost, there must be other documentary proof to show you are truly the parents. All of these have been listed and he should provide them to the best of his abilities. The master proof remains DNA test. Point on! Adults don't get squeezed like this. |

Opeyemi007: The 2024 on the birth certificate is the ISSUANCE Date, not the DOB. It cannot be a typo because it was indeed issued in 2024 although the baby was born in 2020. NPC will not backdate the issuance date. Poster should explain circumstances surrounding the loss and provide stuff to confirm they’re indeed the parent. Like I said, it’s not hard at all. Seen it plenty times on the student thread. The picture is clearer now. Thanks! It makes no sense they queried his application because of the date it was issued given the fact it is an official document. The US won't do such! |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by MrSoftlife(f): 9:11pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
Opeyemi007: At all. The complicates it more. Why would NPC make that kinda mistake. The best thing is to say they lost the original BC and had to get a replacement from NPC. They could supply pictures from the naming ceremony, pictures from Preggy days with dates showing that period. The issue now is that UKVI sent a message recently asking why a kid that was giving birthday to over 4yrs ago is having date of 2024 on birth the certificate which is the date the birth certificate was issued. Also to explain the document i submitted to obtain this new birth certificate.I think from his explanation it is straightforward that it was a typo from NPC/hospital and asking whoever issued that document to issue the right one. Yes, he can add a court affidavit that the first document was misplaced to backup his claims. PS: They already queried his application and doubting his intention that it was a fake document that was submitted. Someone has to take the blame for it. |

winterfell007: Oga you lie. Stop misinforming the public. The reason why they selling off their onshore oil blocks is because it has become increasingly difficult to operate in that terrain where Niger-delta and Ikwerre boys are operating. Hence they are selling off to operate in Deep offshore where it'll be a lot for those militant to operate. More importantly, these companies are increasingly looking towards gas investment. If you know Shell, you'd know they can't engage in such unscrupulous act otherwise they'll be sanction by their government in Netherland. Even the royalties offshore can't be compared to what they pay onshore and these boys still goes and block of their gate to stop operations. |

Kenochi: Let me take sometime to educate Nigerians before some people will come here and start claiming that the Economy is failing Most operators in Nigeria's Upstream Oil and Gas Sector know that their game is up,there was a time Nigeria through the NNPCL had to resort to the importation of Refined Crude oil for close to 20 years. This allowed NNPCL and most Oil and Gas companies to participate in the controversy Oil Swap Most Oil and Gas Companies used this fraudulent practice to shortchange the country, they collected crude oil and brought back Refined crude oil and still collected subsidy. Nigeria was fair game and all this big Oil companies looted Nigeria dry Then something happened, the Dangote Refinery was mooted and this would put an end to this evil practice. Most Oil Companies knee that if this Refinery ever started their easy money was over My people, this is what is happening. I am confident that more Oil companies will leave the country because their access to free money is gone for good
Still selling good properties with good titles at the Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub....kindly check my signature Because Dangote is helping Nigerians selling cement at that price right? You forget he is running a private business solely for profit. Wait and see the price of petrol if it is going to benefit Nigerians. If not for the IOCs in Nigeria which NOC care about its workers to pay them a fair wage. When you talk about the PROS think about the CONS. Ask yourself why the unions where fighting them from going ahead with this as at last year. |

All schools. The available slots are limited (remember funding usually comes in the form of GA, RA, and TA) which is why it's good to apply to these schools as early as possible.
PS: GA (Graduate assistantship), Research/Resident Assistantship, Teaching Assistantship.
Ensure your CV, SOP, and Reference letter are well-written to market your skills. No free lunch!
Shalom! Most of the people I know who got into GSU have a very high GPA (first class). Their full funding came with their admission letter (no separate application) and then again you haven't stated the program you applied to. Did you share with the graduate school your reason for deferring and have you submitted your SOA? Be intentional and let them know what you are looking for. Send a mail, you might be lucky to even get a position as a Graduate Assistant. Work on your CV very well to show competency in either GA, TA, or RA ( or the triple) positions. |

irepodun: Good day everyone. I’m a pharmacy graduate planning to do my Masters in the US, UK, or Canada. I’m planning to apply for full international scholarship this year to further my study. I’m hoping my first-class degree will land me a scholarship or some sort of free tuitions and other benefits.
Presently, I have gotten my transcript and certificates (university, secondary school). I also have my international passport though I will need to renew it as I just noticed it will expire this month.
My area of interest for the Masters program can be summarized as “Drug discovery for diseases caused by pathogenic organisms.”
Right now, I’m very confused about the whole process. Parts of my confusions are as follow:
- Which schools do you think I should focus on applying to base on my area of research interest? I have been checking different schools online. This website (https://www.findamasters.com/masters-degrees/?Keywords=drug+discovery) provided some list but most of the schools are in the UK. I would prefer US because I saw that there are more pharmaceutical industries in the US that are into drug discovery.
- What are the preparations I need to make? Someone told me I need to write GRE/TOEFL, Statement of Purpose, etc.
- How does the scholarship works? Must I gain admission before scholarship or apply to scholarship before school? Is there any other way to get tuition-free admission as well as other benefits such as accommodation, stipends, health insurance, etc.?
If there is a specific nairaland thread that can help, I will appreciate if you can link me to it. Thanks. You are in the right place. I think you should try and apply to Georgia State University. You need a good SOP and reference letters in addition to your first class. Remember funding is limited and it is first come, first served. Shalom! |

NewBoyKhashoggi: Hey 🤠
@MrSoftlife I know you are part of the people that does not wantSlave Trade to end .
*** But let me ask you this question ... ARE YOU PEOPLE FINDING IT DIFFICULT TO POINT OUT " Meaning " OUT OF AN ESSAY or WRITE UP ?
**** Of all my response , THE ONLY THING YOU COULD POINT OUT IS HAVARD UNIVERSITY 😃
1. I used Havard University as a case study .. I DID NOT SAY APPLY TO HAVARD UNIVERSITY . Go back and read very well and if it's only Havard your eyes can see let someone interpret the piece for you .
2. For your information, let me teach you this ... There is no Unpopular Universities in the United States , Any University that is able to Issue Form I 20 is reputable enough to admit International Students .
3. Ganging up in criticizing genuine information or NEW INNOVATION will just keeps all of you stagnant .
4. I am not proving too know , most of what i say here is through personal research , 45% via Google references , and 20% via phone calling of friends and families in the United States .
5. I just discovered that there are too many of you OLD BOTTLES on NL who does not want Nairaland to grow . ARE YOU PEOPLE HAPPY WITH CONSTANT VISA REJECTION ?
6. Someone applied for MBA five (5) times with visa failure, and the guy came to his senses by asking question on Nairaland ..I advised him to try do a new thing and @ Naijalarry said he should go ahead on the 6th attempt with the same MBA ...WHY
Best Wishes 🙏 On the contrary, your WhatsApp group where y'all are acting as VO is what will make Nairaland not grow. You can see people hardly post their transcripts here because they prefer to give them to wannabe acting VOs on WhatsApp groups. Yes, they can Google your generic response. Try to advise them to contact the school directly. Using Harvard University makes no sense because how many people get into Ivy League universities with a low GPA? Or do you think the schools are not concerned about their ranking and if an applicant is prepared for graduate school?! @bolded you must be a gaslighter |

NewBoyKhashoggi: Hey 🤠
The average GRE score would depend on your preferred university and subject of choice.
However, a GRE score between 150 and 160 in the GRE Verbal and GRE Quantitative Sections would make you eligible to apply to most universities in the US and can be referred to as the average GRE scores of US universities.
1. Even Havard University lowest GRE score intake is 260 . Therefore YOUR GRE SCORE will enters 75% of Universities in the United States .
*** Any one can even GOOGLE this info.
Best Wishes 🙏 Someone with a Second Class lower is looking for funding and his GRE is lower than 300 and you even went as far as bringing Harvard University here makes me question if you just commenting. @Poster please don't listen to this advice. You should know you are competing with other applicants. I will advise you to Google out schools that are unpopular in the US and send in your application because some courses are in most demand and Computer Science is one of them. To save on application fees, try reaching out to graduate school with your intent for funding. Shalom! |
