@Olarwalay, r u in lagos? If so, then I will strongly advise you send all ur documents through Nipost office in Ikeja. Instead of going through unneccesary stress.

I sent my admission package last month to my schools in USA, and they replied me by mail in 7 working days and told me dey hv received my documents.

I paid #700 for registered mail wth tracking number for each package. And all my documents were delivered with 7 working days. Nipost is very cheap and very reliable nw.. Cheers bro...

I sent a package since Feb. 13 and it is still in Lagos.
Last year Nov., i use EMS; it was the same thing.It delivered after 1month.

@talkD, I dnt think so.. Because my sister sends package frequently to USA through Nipost and it gets there at exactly 7 working days.

She even sent a package to Austria just last year december and it got to Austria at exactly d same 7 working days as well. Nipost is nw becoming reliable.

Jst try to pay for registered mail if possible so u track ur documents and feel safe. Maybe u didn't write the address correctly dt was why it was difficult for them to deliver ur package.

Because two different post office can't make d same mistake at d same time. So the mistake came directly from u bro. Cheers bro.

Enrolment deposit like $1000,$2000,$7000 from international
Students after the acceptance of such student and the form I-20
Will not be issue until deposit is paid. So please international

No ooooo, @karpurt, do ur research very well. 70% of the schools in USA don't ask for deposit compared to UK Universities dt require a large sum of money to be deposited before Visa documents will be given to you.

What dey do in USA universities is dt they will give u ur admission letter and form i-20 after u hv showed proof of financing ur studies for 1year wth ur Bank statement.

Then after u hv gotten ur visa and traveled to USA, when u r doing ur registration in school, before u start classes u will then be required to pay 10% of ur tuition fee or even more.

Then the remaining tuition will be paid installmentally. Hope u undastand bro.... Cheers....

Pls what does d body of your letter contain? Is it addressed to waec, to whom it may concern, or directly to the uk commission? Since u won't b having another one issued. Cld u drop ur digits/email or wateva u feel to drop? Tx

@kunlewoye, I would strongly advise you to tell ur principal to address d letter as To whom it may concern just in case u decide to use it again for future purposes in other fields and areas..

bigfrancis21: Since you said you can't know in advance the scholarship amount to be gotten, you won't be able to say for sure whether the amount covers your full expenses or part of it. The best thing for you to do will be to tick 'YES'. Then if in the end the scholarship stipend doesn't cover your whole expenses then you might have to get an on-campus job,that is if the scholarship conditions and agreement permits it.
US immigration laws don't permit international students to work off campus jobs and also bars them from working more than 20 hours per week for on campus jobs.

@Oga imperiouxx thanks a lot for ur response. The school don't indicate the amount of scholarship dey give. They just tell u to feel the application and write Essay and wait for decision.

Hello guys, I need advice on this. I am currently filling my scholarship application form to a school in USA.

1. They asked for my high school GPA. Pls how can I calculate my high school GPA.

2. The school asked in the scholarship form if I will be working on or off campus. But I honestly intend working while studying just to pay little bills.
Please should I put YES to the question, hope it won't reduce the amount of scholarship the school will give me.

As for the last question, there's no time limit to how long the money can be in the account. Whether it's been there for 3 days or 3 years, so far as the account is still active, time in deposit doesn't matter.

@dnpassion, sorry about the denial. God has a reason for everything. But don't just give up on your dreams. Successful people never give up. Keep striving for success.

Honestly speaking if you ask me, Then I will tell you got denied because of the SAT. If you notice here that the VO even questioned that how come you got admitted..

One thing you guys need to know is that when it comes to f-1 student visa, you don't follow school Rules. You go by the Embassy RULES.. Standarlized tests are important most especially students who have graduated from high school for a long time.

The VO use the SAT to measure your academic ability and strength and see if you are ready for college and to take challenging courses...

So my brother, take time to prepare yourself, take the SAT and know and have faith that you shall get the visa the 3rd time. Nothing is impossible. God's favour shall be upon you..

And if possible you can print out the email you received from ETS about the cancelation of the GRE exam and take it along with you with your TOEFL score sheet as proof.. Let the VO believe you. @seedord247, I don't think it makes sense for one to tell the VO that jamb denied you twice. That is the last thing anyone who is going for interview should say. This will raise an eyebrow that maybe the person is dull or not serious in his academics.. Instead try other possibles ideas.. I luv the idea you gave about computer schools. That makes sense to me... That's much better than telling the VO that you were denied Jamb twice..

And let me remind you on this, the FULL meaning of SAT is "Scholarship Aptitiude Test"
So the meaning says it all. You definately need SAT for scholarship.

@jchatty, SAT registration is #14,175. Register at GIEVA organisation marina victoria island lagos. I did my SAT last month November and dt was the amount I paid. Don't go through an agent ooo.. They charge too high. An agent charged my friend 50k for SAT. mehnn I felt like crying. Many agents are criminals. They rip you off.. All those agent register students at GIEVA at a low rate and they will charge students 10 times the amount they registered. So go through GIEVA. That's the Genuine and the only registered and official SAT registration centre. It's just #14,175 naira.. Chikena.. Cheers..

Hello house, Oga imperioux and others I need your advice on this. I intend applying for admission for undergraduate fall 2013 resumption. I went to my high school to get all necessary documents with the transcripts from the school. My high school package everything for me.
My question here is; should I include the university in USA application form and the bank statements along with the package my school did for me. Because my school teacher said I shud send the bank statement and all other documents with a separate file directly to the school in USA by myself, but they said if I want they can help me include the bank statement and other documents and send it for me. Because this documents are too many and I hope to send everything at once. Pls will dis be accepted. Because many schools in USA said documents should come officially directly from the high school. Pls who is in d same similar situation here or who can help me on this. Pls I need advise before I make the wrong steps.

@snazzygirl, go to ikeja high court, those people that call people for affidavit outside the court room will get it done for you at a verryyy cheap rate. I did mine yesterday. I notarized 35 documents for just 4k. When I asked for the price inside the court room they were telling me #500 for each document and #17,500 for all 35 documents. . So do it out side the court room. And it's a real notary public. It carried an official stamp, a signature and a seal.. All official by a lawyer.
