emmanuelkim: Please House, I need advice on how to register for TOEFL and i would like the Paper base instead of the computer base, please help me out, because i would be interested in writing the exam now, please help me i need it urgent
If I may ask? Why do u want to write the PBT(Paper Based Test) instead of the iBt(Internet Based Test)? You think it might be easier? I don't think so. Even if you want to write the PBT I don't think its still offered in Nigeria. Even the CBT (Computer Based Test)isn't available in Nigeria again. It might still be available in those non-english speaking West African countries, but spots would have been booked solid for a long time. Make up ur mind to do the iBT bro

crimo4us: . Am not in support of the students for rioting and fighting a woman who is doing her job, and moreso, she was protecting the students against injuries but you must be someone who lack knowledge and ability to make research and find facts before you write jargons. Check Nigeria university rating before you can say the university is lacking in facilities or saying LAUTECH is one of the worst state university. Name your school and let us tell you the stand of the school as of today.Ignoramus
Don't mind them! Let them name their schools and we'll look up their rankings. Last I checked, Lautech is the second best state Uni...after LASU. It was the best for two years consecutively (2003-2004). Its always been ranked within the top 15 since I can remember. And this is a school that was established in 1990 o. *hiss*

PurestBoy: Ok, dat was my guy G-Max dept & these dark twin who were exploiting me in d hope of 'runzing' phy 202 for me. I still wish to slap one Ajadi man & a dark horrible looking man at old phy lab for scamming me unto phy 104 parol from dat dept. Thanks to d women secretaries there, they have understanding and helped me when phy 104 nearly gave me an extra year. Lol
Gogo was my friend too
Lmaooo! I had ish with the PHY 202 too, the Ajadi man refused to release my result cos he claimed I didn't buy his textbook! I showed him my textbook to confirm my claim that I bought (my idiot rep refused to remit the money to him). He seized my result for 2 sessions but I refused to re-do the course. He eventually released it after demoting my grade from A to C. The guy is a menace! Those ones in the lab are even worse, it was one of the guys there (one Alfa) that I deal with. He will gimme my scores before it even reaches the dept.
Those women secretaries are a bit better. One of them (the alhaja) has been transferred to the Deputy Registrar's office, she was the one that helped me with the transcripts verification I went for last week and she didn't collect a dime! Bless her!!

conyema12: Thank you for the prompt response.

My research area is Reservoir Characterization, I chose it cos thats where i did the thesis for My Msc. and I have already started mailing some of the Professors in those schools.

NRF factor.... What is that? And how will it influence Visa issuance.

Thanks

Yes. Exam time. The guy was from Anatomy

PurestBoy: You just mentioned my friends when LAUTECH was LAUTECH. I went to Ogbomoso dis February and was shocked to see that the routes linking the campus to Adenike have been blocked and fenced and students and motorists have to go round through the main gate by the express. I nearly cried for the innocent students and was made to understand that the routes would not have been fenced if Prof Ayeni was still alive.
Yess! I noticed that as well o. I had to walk down to Under-G from my dept (Physics) when I was going back home because I didn't want to pass through the main gate! Even as an undergraduate I was always scared to pass through that gate. A lecturer was hit by a car coming from Ilorin at that same spot in 2009 and he burnt to death in his car! Lord have mercy
EducationRe: Riot In Lautech As Students Mob Pregnant Lecturer + Victims (Photos) by MsNas(f): 10:39pm On Apr 09, 2013
First, may th souls of the departed R.I.P.
May the good Lord console their parents, family and friends.
Lautech has never been a violent school, I know that because I attended the school from 2004-2009. For the students to have acted that way...somethingh definetely spooked them. Some dept in the school e.g SLT have lecturers that behave like demi-gods. For all you care, the practical might be an impromptu one. Everybody knows that once you're above 100L, you don't need to carry ur lab coats around. There's a fixed time for all your practicals.
As per the beaten lecturer...in as much as I don't condone female battering or violence of any kind, I'll say some of the female lecturers in that school had it coming. One of them in the dept of Pure and Applied Mathematics nearly gave me an extra session just because she was too lazy to search for a score sheet that contained my marks!!! Trust me..if I could beat her up then, I would.
If I'm not being selfish sha...I thank God I quickly collected my transcripts last wednesday, it would have been hell as those NASU people will seize this opportunity to go on strike!
RIP beautiful ones sad

Ojukwu is a man who started an inconclusive war that led to the butchering of countless of his people. He couldn't even win the war even after sacrificing igbo lifes. That's an icon? Smh

Charles Oputa: charly boy is an icon? My Lord. Its like saying 'Denrele Edun is an icon. You have misplaced priorities.

P.N Okeke: isn't he the man that wrote that my secondary school Physics textbook? And he wasn't the sole author o, there were like 2 or 3 of them. My dear, countless authors are abound in the SW. Maybe that's why majority of the publishing houses are situated in Lagos and Ibadan. Cements our intellectual status.

Chico Ejiro: being a film-maker makes one an icon? Lmfaooo!

Chioma Ajunwa: I give u props for this a bit. But wasn't she disgraced and banned for life for drug use? Is that worthy of emulation?

Chike obi: who's this?
