OnionBandit:Govt collects tax on inheritance in Nigeria |
Some do not have legal immigration papers to travel. Some that have immigration papers do not have money for the trip to Nigeria. Some that have families cannot afford to come at once due to money, so it is either the father comes this year with one of the children and the mother comes next year with another one of their children. As it is tough in Nigeria, it could be very tough over there. |
This guy breaks laws, our police threatened to arrest and nothing was done till date. If other guys had done half of what Portable has been accused of, he would have been in court. Different laws for different people. Till this guy, who believes he is above the laws, maims or kills someone, people will continue to find his acts amusing. The laws need to take its course on this guy and if discovers that something his wrong with him mentally, should be referred to a psychiatry before he does the unthinkable, either to himself or others. |
Hoelujohn:Anytime big brother's cash cows are about to be evicted, Big Brother turns it to "fake" eviction. Once Big brother's cash cows is the 2nd to be evicted, Big brother will rather evict just 1 person that day. Fraud! |
Jashub:I rest my case here. Those who will be reading this thread in the future can easily situate us. Others can read the report that you call "projected" and draw their conclusion. Moreso, you have condemned BBC, CNN and AL jazeera and yet you claimed you watch and read them only for fun. Then, you claimed that you couldn't reveal source of your information as if it was one nuclear weapon secret. Well, I didn't agree with all you wrote. I was honest enough to agree with you on a point you raised (which you termed Fact 1) and I gave you the reason for it. I disagreed with you on your Fact 2 and Fact 3. You could not mention your source because there was NO source. You only wanted to make people agree with you based on your own feelings without any evidence. I wish you luck. |
Jashub:I didn't write based on projection. You only picked what's convenient for you. I made mention of just one thing which has not happened yet, and that is the Maritime Insurance part. You ignored the rest of my write up, probably because you did not have evidential facts to counter my points. You wrote that you watch and read balanced reports after you have condemned CNN, BBC and AL Jazeera. Can you please point me to these reports you are reading which justifies your position? I will love to read them as well. Many thanks as I await your prompt response. |
Jashub:Your Fact 1. You are very correct. That is no brainer since EU has over relied on Russia for gas. It will take some times before they are independent. Your Fact 2: You are wrong. Ruble is NOT rising solely because Russia demands payment for its oil in Ruble. Russian Government is ARTIFICIALLY propping up the rubles using various interventionist means. It is NOT sustainable in the long term. You can read this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/qz.com/2167447/how-russia-defended-the-ruble-from-ukraine-war-sanctions/amp/ Infact, due to the fact that Russia can not get enough buyers for its gas, Russia is now flaring off $10 Million worth of gas daily. Your Fact 3: This is not totally correct. These countries you mentioned want to buy discounted oil from Russia. They cannot pay the same price EU is paying. Moreso, it requires complex logistics to transport to these countries with attendant associated cost. All these mean inflow to Russia will be drastically reduced. And like I said, 90% of maritime insurance is done by EU, if the EU member states agree to withdraw insurance for non-EU countries, that will be a major hit to Russia. PS: May I advise that you cannot condemn all news channels because they are not saying what you hope for. We cannot take your opinion as the source of the truth. Your opinion is not tenable in any court of law. Condemning Al jazeera, BBC and CNN is not a way to go. What will you rather allow us to watch? |
Jashub:Even Gorbachev who was the then president of the Soviet Union said there was NO agreement. Read this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2014/11/06/did-nato-promise-not-to-enlarge-gorbachev-says-no/amp/ |
Jashub:I made some references to some resources on the web for you. Try and read them. More so I read and watch balanced news...CNN, BBC and Al Jazeera. They all supported the position I made. Or can we say Al Jazeera is biased too?. You are talking about demand for Russia oil. It requires a lot of logistics and those countries are only willing to buy at discounted prices. Moreso, EU is flirting with the idea of not insuring Russia oil to non-eu destination. Remember that 90% of insurer of maritime transport is from EU, if the EU members agree on this eventually, it will be a disaster for the Russia federation again. |
Jashub:Your position is laughable. The Russian Rubble is being artificially propped up by the Russian Government using various interventionist approaches which is not sustainable in the long haul. Subject Rubble to natural rule of economics, then you will see a weakened currency. But ask yourself, for how long can Russia govt defends the Rubble artificially? One more thing, the effect of the sanctions is not meant to be immediate. It will creep in and destroy the Russia economy. Even Putin admits this fact in one of his speeches. The effects of the sanctions are already being felt in the military, where they couldn't manufacture more weapons due to unavailability of spare parts from EU. It is being felt in the Russia economy with high inflation and shrinking GDP. Read it here: https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/infographics/impact-sanctions-russian-economy/ For how Russia is artificially defending the rubble, read it here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/qz.com/2167447/how-russia-defended-the-ruble-from-ukraine-war-sanctions/amp/ |
bukatyne:I very much doubt it. Our generation will only witness the reign of kings. |
A sad day in the United Kingdom. Queen Elizabeth was an epitome of class and grace. |
If we want Nigeria to move forward, excesses like this must be contained. What economic values do these kings have ?. Marrying recklessly on free handout from the Government. They live opulent life, oppress the poor and not even focused on their traditional roles. Sadly, it has been turned to tribal wars. This should cut across the entire nation. All these channels we are wasting state's funds is not nice, it needs to be blocked. |
jeromestarks:You should ask yourself the same question before you talk about 3rd party. Are you currently the LG Chairman, Councillor, Federal or State House of Assembly? If the question is no, you have no moral standing to be asking this type of question. I will let your question pass. |
jeromestarks:Stop insulting lady. Leadership is not by age but quality. Truss studied in an elite university, Oxford. This also applies to men. Not ladies ago. We are having dearths of quality leadership in Nigeria. |
tishbite42:I agree with you but AJ and Wilder are arguably five steps down the steps to Iron Mike Tyson. PS: If you quoted me and I didnt respond to you, just understand you are NOT worth the trouble. I don't throw stones at every dogs that bark. |
MonsieurX:Their fighting style is not compatible. Fury is quite skillful. He has the same skillset like Usyk. |
kristonium:That Klitschko was not in his prime then. AJ is not a skillful fighter. He even said it to Usyk when he asked how did Usyk defeat him when he (AJ) was the stronger person. AJ then admitted it was Usyk's skill that got him beaten. This guy - Fury - will ruin AJ's career. He should just avoid him. Fury is only baiting him to destroy his waning confidence. |
UK is financially in a very serious mess and the new PM wants to still cut Taxes. This will provide immediate relief but later usher in inflation of immense proportion. I will support Sunak's view and he seems more sound than Truss in economics, at least going by the debate I watched, though Sunak idea will bring pain too. This is the wrong time for anyone to wish to be the UK Prime Minister. I wish her luck |
Heathrow44:Thoughtfully written |
This FG is weak. Advertise their positions. Bring in individuals that are ready to impact the students with modern knowledge. Most of these set of lecturers are greedy, incompetent, selfish and using the students as shields. |
Desfiiiiine:Did biometric on the 22 June. Received email notification on Friday, 26th. Picked up passport with visa today. No paid email sent. This info should give you an idea of when you might likely get a feedback. |
Theta1:But God actually directed the believers to seek for the "lost sheep". |

paradigmshift:Thanks and I appreciate you. Still, I can say I am 100% convinced. Situations at times make me doubt things. I really wish and pray to God to wholly reveal himself to him. Why will pandemic destroy the whole land and no one can uccessfully intervene? Why would people die right in church due to the pandemics? I dont get it. Sometimes, I feel religion is used to control people from committing crimes by instilling the fears of God in them and by telling them hell and heaven exist. My feeling, I am not saying it is correct. |
I am a Christian and I know that heaven is described so beautifully in the book of Revelation. The roads are lined with all precious metals. And the bible even says that "Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard" what God prepares for his own people. However, I have a reservation. Most of these pastors preach this to us from the altar but they behave like this earth is where it starts and ends. They do not even wish to experience this heaven. One would expect them to be convinced to the point that their hearts will be fixed towards heaven at all the times but no, that is not the case. If by the behaviour, it shows they are nit convinced of what they are preaching, I feel something is obviously wrong somewhere. I must tell you, it makes me doubt the existence of heaven a little bit. |
Ralphlauren:@RalphLauren,Thank you my brother. Tell them!. Another bubble buster. We wont rest till we rid this thread of total misinformation and disinformation. "My friend this, my friend that" needs to stop. We wont allow people to be misled. We wont allow people to leverage on this thread to boost their own deflated egos. Type out the fact and rest. Sadly enough, these are the individuals some people here rely on to make their own decisions regarding relocation. Just pathetic! Happy Monday folks ![]() |
truthsayer009: Thank you, sir. Glad individuals with genuine information are coming to this thread to bust bubbles. I don't understand why people come on public domain to throw figures around. Any story you hear with the insertion - "my friends this and that" - mostly end up being a falsehood. |
NuCypher:@NuCypher Can I just hug you? You are well exposed. Bubbles buster ![]() |
ccjoe:You do not have to marry her if you do not love her enough for such. If you are certain the baby is yours, do your bits on the child. If you love the lady enough, marry her, and start a life. |
whizqueen:Thank you for guiding people to make an informed decision. I understand you are not bashing the country you live, rather you are trying to show the pitfalls for people to consider before they make the life-changing decision to relocate. Relocation to any country is not bad, but it becomes a problem when people have unrealistic expectations. Ignore individuals calling for your heads, you have a sizable numbers here cheering you on. God bless you a lot! |
Lonepair1:@LonePair1 I have an advice for you. It is not every dog that barks that you throw stones at. You do not need to join issues with fools. I have left this thread since yesternite and was still shocked the kind of emotion it has generated. When some people are acting like this over a country they "adopt", what will the genuine citizens of the country do? Most Nigerians always ignorantly overdo wherever they are. Classic case of wannabes. Canada is a beautiful country and economically viable but the exaggeration is out of this world. Is it not the same Canada that California ALONE is richer than? Is it not the same Canada that New York economy ALONE is bigger than? Is it not the same Canada that Texas economy ALONE dwarfs. Let that boy continue to deceive himself. And for all saying I insulted him so much, you are so biased. We were having civil discourse before he became suddenly abusive, and from that point on, his descent into everlasting abyss started. Some people are in Nigeria balling big. It is not about your location , rather the value you possess. But when you see someone that the biggest achievement he has in his lifetime is travelling to a particular location, such people behave in the way the boy has been behaving. @Lonepair, save your energy for better things. https://www.businessinsider.com/california-economy-ranks-5th-in-the-world-beating-the-uk-2018-5?r=US&IR=T https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/understanding-americas-enormous-20-6t-economy-by-comparing-us-metro-area-gdps-to-entire-countries/ https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/countries-with-a-bigger-gdp-than-texas.html |
