With the dancing Adeleke at the seat of power, it will soon red in Osun. Government House will be converted to Musical studio. Osun State with a serious dwindling monthly allocation after the mess that Aregbesola has pushed them into requires a competent individual with top notch administrative skill.

We have heard of half salary being paid, you will soon be getting a quarter of salary when Adeleke finishes dealing with you lots, after recouping the money he spent in the last election he participated in and this one. When the cry starts, don't disturb the other states with it, deal with it. You refused voting for Lasun or Oyetola. It will soon red for your states.
PoliticsRe: Osun Governorship Election 2022 Results (Live Updates) by MT: 4:52pm On Jul 16, 2022
Osun people, you are speaking and we are hearing clearly. I am not an APC or PDP party members but if this election has been between 2 technocrats, it would have been better. You are handling the key of your Government House to a clueless dancer. No worries. We respect what you have done. Oyetola and Lasun, you refused to vote for either.

This can only go one direction, your state treasury will be looted like it has never been. There will be a serious bad governance like never seen. When it happens, deal with it and don't disturb the rest of the states with your voice of hunger.
TravelRe: Why Do African Brothers Abroad Discourage Others From Moving Abroad Too? by MT: 4:31pm On Jul 15, 2022
I find it strange how people who haven't been oversea feel strongly about their experiences, which are mainly gathered via Hollywood movies. Just as it is in Nigeria, there are different levels abroad. While some take their girlfriends to a 2000 naira dingy hotel, some dudes are spending 500k naira per night on a hotel in naija. To everyone, his own.

Lot of people are slaving their lives away over there, and some are regretting why they chose to come in the first place. There's nothing as frustrating as stagnation. Leather suits that lot of people show off on Instagram won't cover for inner sadness and regrets.

A lizard in Nigeria won't turn crocodile abroad. Consider your case carefully before you take a step. Most people are lying about their situations abroad, Get the visa and tell them you are coming to stay with them, they won't argue with you but abandon you at the airport.

From your comment, I absolutely agree with you that u are very privileged. U dont know anything about street life in Naija. You probably came back to a nice apartment in ikoyi, have the right contact and connection to get you the a cool effortless job. everything is at your beck and call.
sorry, we are not talking about people like u. Someone like u shouldnt have left naija in the 1st place. upper class dont relocate anywhere in the world. relocation is mainly a middle class affair- be it africa, china or india. These are the people who needs extra space to see road clearly- something western countries offer.
You are wrong with your narrative. Read what that person you quoted (@casualobserver) wrote. That was the pure truth. I'm sorry, I suspect you haven't lived in any country apart from Nigeria; please do not consider that as derogatory remark. The person you quoted has seen it all, and I can relate to what he's saying.

He stil have a black gene in him, forget about his skin colour
I support what you wrote Rose Barkley is a mixed race abd not a Caucasian. He's British-Nigerian. If he chooses not to identify with Nigeria , it is his choice but that doesn't make him English. He will ever be regarded as an half caste, even among the whites

Yes, your assumption is that those women are actually from the same parts of Britain - they could have other ancestral roots e.g

A Nigeria married a white woman in the UK whose father is Italian and mother Irish - all these have cultural influences on the kids.

Then a son from that family marries another woman whose mother is Portuguese but father is English.

This is why she refers to herself as a quarter Nigerian.

Take another example, SEAL the popular singer has a Nigerian dad but a Brazilian mum.

He doesn't identify with Nigeria cos he is more conversant with his mother side of the family.

Later on, he marries Heidi Klum who has German ancestry etc, so you want to identify the kids from that failed marriage as purely Nigerian ? lmao

The kids have Brazilian, Nigerian, German etc ancestry - the woman's family generally have greater cultural influences on children than their father.

My 2 cents.
Thanks for taking your time to explain. However, consider the scenario you cited:

Take another example, SEAL the popular singer has a Nigerian dad but a Brazilian mum.

He doesn't identify with Nigeria cos he is more conversant with his mother side of the family.

That's SEAL choice to be identified with his mum side. Having a Nigerian dad, irrespective of the citizenship of his mum already make him a mixed race - Nigerua-Whatsoever citizenship.

Look at this scenario you also cited:

A Nigeria married a white woman in the UK whose father is Italian and mother Irish - all these have cultural influences on the kids.

Then a son from that family marries another woman whose mother is Portuguese but father is English.

It seems you are focused too much on the citizenship of the child's mother. In as much as the dad is a Nigerian, his child will be a mixed raced with dual citizenship, irrespective of who the dad married.

That son that married another white woman in your case study has a Nigerian-whatsoever citizenship by default. The son might voluntarily says he doesn't want to identify with Nigeria, it is his choice. By default, he can claim Nigeria, Portuguese and English from your case study - triple citizenship.

What exactly do you mean by encourage? Let me explain it to you as someone who has a British passport has live abroad for many years but returned home.

The truth is life over there is a sort of bondage for someone with a Nigerian mindset. You are constantly working to pay bills , no matter how much you earn your expenses rise such that you are a slave to your job, the system entraps you in ways I can’t describe here for sake of brevity, unless you are amongst the few who can establish a means of income in the multiples of hundreds of thousands be it dollars be it pounds. Otherwise yes you will eat well and enjoy certain basics that may not be available in Nigeria for most Nigerians but there are many negative intangibles especially for someone raised in Nigeria.

Unless you are a high paying job, $100-200k + life is not a bed of roses. Even at that level you are struggling but can afford things to mitigate the struggles like holidays back home or other destinations. In theory you will be better off than in Nigeria initially but life is such that once you overcome the basic sufferings back in Nigeria, the intangible negatives start to matter. I am back in Nigeria and I wouldn’t go back. I am lucky I can travel out when I am tired of Nigeria but I will never again live abroad….unless I am forced to. With all the problems of Nigeria, there is no place like home. There is a sense of freedom and self worth in Nigeria you have that you lose when you go abroad, that’s one of the intangibles I talk about. No matter what you will always be a nobody abroad….that’s another!!!

Would I encourage anyone to move abroad. It’s a hard question because you will pay a huge psychological price for moving abroad, one you will not understand until you get there and one I can never explain to you until you have experienced it. What I would say is, if you want to go abroad, have a mission and come back with if 5 years!!! I won’t encourage or discourage anyone!!! I wouldn’t actively encourage anyone because I don’t want to be the one responsible for selling you a dream that will not match your reality!!!!
You have said it all. Please Op , read this person's narrative. He nailed it!!

Because Africans and in particular Nigerians are greedy, wicked, and stingy and filled with jealousy. The heart of Nigerians are desperately wicked to their fellow Africans that's why you hear them saying "don't come to America or Canada because it's snowy, it's cold" and all manner of gibberish but they themselves will never switch places with you if you present them with that choice or help others to migrate from the gutter to a civilized society. Rubbish
Do you realize that some people abroad are honestly envying and eyeing your situation in Nigeria? They can't just say it and sadly, you assume they are even better than you

These past weeks, I've been reaching out to my friends who are abroad to help me with links or advices to move abroad too. But I discovered that none of them decided to help, instead they discouraged me either by saying, "it's difficult to move now or the country isn't issuing visa now".

One of my guy in CANADA defiantly ignored my text when I asked him for links or the route he used to move, the other in Korea said the country isn't issuing visa now but he recently moved back and another directly said that it's very hard to get visas now to travel. But one Asian American in the States gave me lots of links to move to the State and even encouraged me to move.

But then I don't understand why our African brothers over there will never encourage or advice someone willing to move. Is it envy or greediness or what? I've never had any of my guy abroad encourage me to move when I asked for advice. If things are difficult over there, why not come home?

NB: I never asked them for fund cos the money is available.
It's because they have seen the reality. Do you realize if Nigeria is judged by the beautiful houses on display in Nollywood, the whole world will want to be citizens.Sadly, that's just movie.

Most people have Hollywood experience of abroad (western nation) in this regard, the reality is far different.

The grandpa is a black man that married a white woman and they had his father.

His father also married a white woman and they had her.

This white women have their nationality too, so you have to take that into cognizance.
The grandpa (who in this case was a Nigerian) married a white woman and had her father. Automatically, her father becomes a British-Nigerian. If her father then married a white woman to have her, she becomes a British-Nigerian too by the virtue of her dad and her mum.

Am I missing something here??

I honestly watched the video where she said her Grandpa was a Nigerian but silent on her father. She didnt say anything regarding her dad. I sent you a link where her father was confirmed as a British-Nigerian.

Also, if someone has Grandpa who is a Niegrian, and the Grandpa now has a son, are you saying that the son is not a Nigerian?

I will love to learn if you have an alternative way to explain this. Thanks ahead.

If you position is true, then why are we expecting drastic changes abd development from incoming administration? We cant have any meaningful development without shouldering those responsibilities. We cant continue to live like this and expect Nigeria to look like Dubai or US.
PoliticsCan Nigerians Do These To Make Nigeria Look Like One Of The Western Nations? by MT(op): 11:02am On Jul 12, 2022
As citizens, I think we have a responsibility to support the Government and hold them accountable in the way they spend our money. Failure to do these, Nigeria can never evolve. As we are approaching another critical election, can Nigerians do any of these:

1. Pay Tax
2. Pay Road Tax
3. Pay Insurance on residential building
4. Pay Television license
5. Pay valid insurance on automobile

You can add more.
