It is dangerous to make states control their police. Our Governors are self centered and they will turn the police to their personal use and to witch Hunt their political opponents. Police can be restructured with the control still maintained by the FG. You can't trust these Governors. They are so egoistic. See what they are doing with the Judiciary and what have they achieved with the Amotekun that they were screaming as if it's the best thing that happened after sliced bread. |
3coins:You must have known better than the legends in the sport who adjudged Fury as the winner in the first fight. Wilder had 2 attempts at Fury, he fell short. Fury is a fine boxer with quality finesse. That explains why he remains undefeated. He will beat Wilder who has no fine boxing skill except his one punch which Fury had been hit with and still rose like phoenix. |
I don't mean to insult you, OP. However, if you have to come to the public domain to settle your family expenditure, then I am afraid marriage might not even be for you yet. |
It is going to be a tricky, tactical boxing contest for both of them. A lucky, powerful hit will end the contest. It is evenly balanced and it will not go the distance. How much you can absorb the punch is a great determinant. 50-50 win to both of them |
For everyone always in a hurry to hurl insult at the presidency, your first culprits are the Governors. They are reckless and too powerful. Always assaulting the constitution with reckless abandon - the same constitution they took oaths of allegiance to defend and protect. Shame! |
Fact-based evidences are presented and argued in court. The police have ruined this case. Iyabo ojo and Princess have also tainted the case due to their addiction and obsession with social media. A good case can be won and lost in court, most tmes through the conduct of the victims, which Princess, and especially Iyabo Ojo are lacking. It's so easy for a brilliant lawyer to piece one or two things together to crumble the entire case. The case might not go past "no case submission" which will be filed by Baba Ijesha's lawyer. |
Yes. Loving someone does not stop you from having a sexual attraction to the opposite sex. The person you care for, that is the person you love. The person you cheat on, that is the person you lust after. Loving someone does not "kill" the lust in you. I am not encouraging cheating, I only analysed the case study you presented here. |
nwekeugochukwu:This is part of the drain of our taxpayer's money. Even House of Windsor in UK is being scrutinized. When someone sits on a throne, doing nothing but only claiming to be a custodian of culture with monthly windfall from both the States and the Federal Government, this is what happens. Marrying with reckless abandon while populating the earth at the mercies of our commonwealth. This is not peculiar to Yoruba kings alone, it runs across the length and breadth of this country. A few individuals are holding the majority hostage. I feel sorry for this country Nigeria. |
lakefist:You don't understand politics and you are assaulting the consitution. Two wrongs dont make right. What GSM did was illegal, and that is not only limited to him. Governors are elected, LG Chairmen are elected. LG chairmen are not subservient to the Governors. You should feel sorry for your statement for lending credence to a deliberate assault on the constitution. This is how fascism starts.... |
Anyone that gives this an iota of thought is a joke. Armed robbers sacking the seat of power. It is unthinkable. Can you imagine armed robbers attacking even military barracks, not to talk of the residence of the Commanders in Chief of the armed forces. Please! |
See an elected governor gloating in illegality. No remorse for sacking another elected government. He was even priding himself in offering to pay the sacked LG chairmen and Councillors their salaries and allowances since 2020. Supreme Court is timid. They should have allowed the LG chairmen to start their tenure where they stopped. That would have sent a strong message to the Governor. Something they won't accept from the presidency, they are foisting it on LG. Shame on you, Mr Governor. Was this the same man some people were rooting for as a future president sometimes ago on Nairaland? Shame! |
No one mentioned anything about his criminal case again. Hmmmm |
It is a shame that people focus more and blame the presidency. Our real enemies are the Governors who have pocketed the State House of Assemblies, the Judiciary and the Local Government Chairmen. Too much power is concentrated in their hands and they wont allow the presidency to do the same to them. This country matter tire me o |
Who lost in this whole legal process? It is the Oyo State people. The "sacked" chairmen would receive money for a job they never done due to greediness and selfishness of Governor Seyi Makinde. The accumulated money in the treasury of the local government will largely go into the payment of FULL salaries and allowances without attendant development in the state. Both the Governor and the sacked chairmen are interested in the looting of the accumulated money in the treasury. The Governor even set election date for LG without waiting for the judgement of the Supreme Court. Shame!, Oyo state people, who largely don't understand they have been shortchanged will move on as if nothing happens. It is quite unfortunate. |
It is NOT healthy for you to be working long hours, sitting at a spot. It can destroy your lower back spine. While you have to work long hours, take a break every 30 mins to walk around. Don't be seated for a long hours at a spot. Just my advice. |
Analyst7:It has never been harmful |
@OP. Who asked you? |
You might NOT have been scammed like a lot of people are saying. You can track the status of your application on the Canadian website to confirm if the case has been determined or not. The mistake you made is before you applied, you should have checked how long the application will take. Canadian immigration website always specifies that. I learnt it is taking one year plus due to Covid-19 now. |
The big question is - Can corruption ever be reduced in Nigeria. The rate at which people are looting in this country is mind boggling and Nigeria can be looted out of existence at this rate. |
I have a serious concern. At least, the scientists are putting in a shift to address this issue, what are the solution being profered by our various religious bodies, which claim to have direct access to God. A prayer ought to solve this but the solution providers are following scientist directives. It's like PHCN using generator to power their own buildings. Just my thought though. |
Dreambeat:Very intelligent post. Amotekun is just a way to reward political jobbers. Very ineffective. And taxpayers money being wasted per seconds. Meanwhile, those pictures attached are old pictures shown during the launch of Amotekun. |
Jerryherd:The maximum for all the sentences is 75 years |
I stumbled on that channel on the DSTV by accident. I must confess I am not into music at all. However, a young guy sang a song beautifully, the 3 so-called judges were so impressed , only for Seyi Shay and Sose to say- "well, you sang very well but we are not sure if given another song, you can sing it well like you just did" . Based on that assumption of what hasn't happened, they voted the poor guy out. I couldn't believe what I just witnessed. I changed the channel immediately and eternally say goodbye to that wacky show. |
It is now that Igboho realised that Koiki came from the UK, claiming he does not understand our culture. This same Igboho appointed Koiki as his spokesperson. A mere thug, with a dark past, having spokesperson and senior media aide, threatening a country and disguising as freedom fighter. The FG is too slow. They should have picked him and locked him up with his cell keys thrown deep into the sea. |
playpaz:If this is the case, why does the FG turning to "father Xmas", wasting the hard earned naira. The guys will collect and dollars and still proceed to black market to change their dollars, which they have collected NGN 5 per dollar. What is the objective of this scheme? |
[quote author=austinvsb post=99944009]This is actually a very smart idea from the CBN. [/quote I can't see anything smart here. I have a feeling that since FG seems to be low on dollars due to low sale of crude oil, they are trying to get dollars from remittances abroad. However, they are using our naira as a bait. If this is the situation, I guess it is bad for the economy. Till I know how much they exchange a dollar for, I can then draw my conclusion effectively. |
Charging a suspect is so easy but can the police provide irrefutable evidences in court? That's where cases are won and lost. |
I'm not into music at all but I read Beyonce featured wizkid in the brown skin girl. The Grammy award - brown skin girl own - is not for the quality of the song but the video. It's Burna boy that looks like the real Grammy award winner. Just my own summation though, you are free to enlighten me further. Congratulations to Wizzy and Burna Boy. Congrats to Nigeria too |
martinlooter:Thanks for this. I was actually relieved. Corruption has reduced Nigeria to zero. If our judiciary is strong, most of the people will think twice before committing an offence. Nairaland should remove this thread as it is very misleading |
Judiciary arm of government is the number 1 problem of this country. If people know there will be firm consequences for their actions, they will certainly behave. This judgement is another classic example of how the judiciary arm of government encourages corruption. Look at Kalu's case, look at Dariye's case. International communities will feel sorry for us as a nation. The Judiciary must always look for a reason to free any convicted politicians. So sad!! Keep praying Nigeria will be better with all the existing recklessness. Keep insulting Buhari as if he is the judiciary arm of Govt. If Nigeria was a business, it would have gone bankrupt the way she was being run. |
MickzyDonald:This is buhari's regime, NOT Jonathan's, where stealing is not corruption. |
Falana is making Gani Fawehinmi cringe in his grave. From Falana's warped and twisted mental judgement, is it better for the British govt not to release the confiscated loot because FG chooses to send it back to the Delta State govt ? Even in law, the men of the bench carefully weigh the impact of their judgement on the general populace. Falana, please reason it out. If you want to achieve the status of Gani Fawehinmi, you need to do better than this. At this rate, UK govt and other nations will be unwilling to send back the rest of the looted fund. As of Ibori, the worst part of hell should be reserved for him. |
