Who are these useless Afenifere always talking like a parrot?. Forget what your read on the dailies, no one reckons with them in Yoruba land. They are just bunch of so-called elites that formed an association claiming to represent the interest of Yoruba. They are featherweight with no political values. They represent themselves not us. |
Someone7:Criminal lawsuit, not civil. |
Gwan2:You are well informed. Well written. |
Machant:You are like the half of the people I earlier referred to, who have zero experience of the happenings in the western world. Before you migrate, you need to do a thorough research of your desired destinations, that will help you to have a managed expectation. If you are "skilled" as you think, then apply for jobs from Nigeria, get the job and migration will be easier. In Canada, if you are not strong willed, you will be frustrated because most employers will not hire you because don't have what they refer to as "Canadian experience". Most people out there are just getting by and by Canada standard, they are regarded as "poor" because of their earnings. I advise OP to research very well based on his current circumstances. Canadian Govt won't provide jobs for you, once you get there you are on your own and it's expensive to live in. When you research, and plan, you won't have exaggerated expectations and you know what to expect at every stage. That will help your sanity out there , trust me. Know the circumstance of who is advising you. Someone who is lowly paid or have zero income in Nigeria but migrate to Canada is not in a position to advise someone working in a multinational company that wants to migrate. What represents "fulfilment" and "happiness" are NOT the same for the two of them. One will be fulfilled earning money as a dishwasher while the other will be frustrated being exposed to the same job. To every one, his own. |
planetx:The fear of "Canadian experience" is the beginning of wisdom. Half of people wishing to migrate to Canada has almost zero knowledge of what's going on there. As good as it sounds, the grass is NOT always greener at the other side. I wish you top luck. |
Daniella2252:Get it right, it's not another man's problem. These silly individuals make life difficult for hardworking Nigerians out there. You are a lady, going by your profile, will you honestly want you kids to go the way of certain Invictus?. If you are rooting for him or his secret admirers, then that prayer is inevitable. |
cchub:You are such an idiot and the long arm of the law will catch up with you soon. You want a Nigeria that looks like the US but you want to continue living a reckless life as a citizen. Get this into your thick skull, all the money he might have stashed away would have become valueless in 10years time as Inflation would have set in. Not to talk of emotional trauma and depression that would overwhelm him. This Invictus that you see today being sentenced, you will never meet no more as sadness and frustration would have finished him inside the prison before he is released in 10years time, if he ever makes it out. |
gypsey:Because getting a conviction in the Senate would have barred him from holding any public office eternally. That would have been the simple road to trudge. Believe it or not, Trump is damaged with that trial. The Americans saw the magnitude of the horror that happened. The GOPs indirectly made it clear Trump had no future with the Republicans. They decided to give him a soft landing. Even the minority GOP leader agreed Trump's words were inciteful and put the blame firmly at his (Trump) door step Now, lot of litigations are coming. FBI is investigating. Georgia is warming up. New York is preparing a case. Court is not forgiving like the Senate. The spectacle is just starting. |
What Senate could not achieve, courts of law would take care of it. Trump.will be criminally charged to court. He wasn't acquitted because Republican believe he didn't incite. No. He was acquitted because the Republicans felt it wasn't constitutional to convict him since the outcome of conviction was removal, and Trump was no longer the president. Guess who allowed him to leave the office before conviction? The then Senate majority leader,- McConnell. Read an excerpt from his speech after the acquittal yesterday: "We have a criminal justice system in this country. We have civil litigation. And former Presidents are not immune from being held accountable by either one," he said. There lies what is coming like a whirlwind next for the inciter-in-chief Donald J. Trump. |
rawfact:Really?. Yet he failed to win an election. |
Where is "Activist" Deji Adeyanju that was egging people on to protest there . Smiles. The people are wiser. DJ switch is in Canada and will ultimately get a Canadian passport . Deji and the other self acclaimed activists are in their sitting room, watching TV. You better use your brain. |
When people read, they should try to digest the information. Mastercard is NOT a country. MasterCard is a technological organisation using its existing technology and infrastructures to "enable" various transactions. It possesses technology to process payment and in the process, make money in form of commission, off the transactions. Whatever happens to your transaction is your headache, they are NOT liable. If Mastercard gives support to Crypto currency, that DOES NOT eliminate the threats identified by the financial experts across the world. Mastercard is NOT bothered about the threats of Crypto Currencies like the Governors of various Central Banks will see it. MasterCard is focused on bringing in more players to leverage on their existing technology, so as to make more money for the company. It is that simple. |
greggng:Sadly he told you the right thing. You were indulging in the same thing you were complaining about. You needed that letter to influence decision and unfairly increase your chance of getting employed. |
He was the right hand man of Awolowo but he tainted his reputation by frolicking with Abacha by serving as a Minister under his government. That ruined all he ever achieved among the progressives. Adieu. RIP |
I remember when they were advertising their marriage all over the billboards in Lagos. So, it will come to this afterall |
softset:I don't need to educate you, go back and read what CBN stated and subject it to your grey matter, if you have any. You are impossible to be tutored as your post has shown. Stop sounding hollow and disgracing your family in a cyber space. You don't even understand to what extent importation can weaken your very own currency. Thanks for spotting the talent in me because all I see in you is sheer ignorance. |
thatigboman:Thank you. Most of these supposedly elites are nitwits. He wanted to show he was in support of the public so that he could be backed for his presidential ambition. Comical entity. |
thebosstrevor1:Don't mind them. Most of them don't understand what crypto currency entails. Most of the people in support of it are just rabble rousers, who can't justify intelligently why CBN should allow it to be exchanged for naira. Stop wasting your energies on those educated illiterates. |
ebukajay184:Moghalu was simply trying to be politically correct. How do you regulate a "currency" that you don't know what it is being used to purchase and which you can't trace to anyone. Comparing crypto currency to legal tender reeks of sheer ignorance . Moghalu's submission was reckless. |
CBN laid out a well articulated case with facts. Lot of people ranting here don't even understand what cryptocurrency is all about. No one can offer a valid , tenable, deep thinking regarding it. All they did was to throw insults and jabs to Buhari and CBN. For once, engage in an intellectual discussion with depth. |
softset:Your understanding of micro economics is very low or non existent. You are referring to Benin Republic as a model for Nigeria to follow by allowing importation of goods (rice) into the country; this alone shows you don't understand economics and the simple dynamics driving world economies. This subject is obviously beyond you. |
wink2015:I feel sorry for you making cases for Yahoo boys. I hope someday you will fall a prey to them - if you ever have anything inside your bank account - and let's see if you will continue blowing this miserable tune. Education is an acquisition of knowledge. Whatever you do with the knowledge after graduation is up to you. No Government in the world promises or signs a contract with her citizens guaranteeing job before you embark on educating yourself. It is your choice. The world is a global village, compete on an international stage if you truly have the value. Apply for jobs in the middle East, Europe etc . Ace the interview if you are truly skilled instead of cheering on Yahoo boys here. Add values to yourself and see your life changing for the best |
At what point did we get to this stage?. Thieves, branding themselves as "Yahoo boys" unashamedly showing faces to the public, while the public cheer them on. I feel sorry for the innocent kids that will be influenced. This is not a country - moral values at all times low. |
Justkatty:What happens to starting the service immediately it is time, the couple will join the service anytime they arrive. If God adopts this measure for each of our sins, we would have all been wiped off from the earth surface. Like someone stated, this was not discipline, but a sheet brutality from a very wicked soul. |
TMSMedia:Love Buhari or hate him, Ken has spoken with facts. The simple question is - Are the facts mentioned correct or wrong? . If the facts are right, appreciate the political gesture first. That does not stop you from continuing to attack the APC-led administration in areas you find it deficient. Don't play politics with utter bitterness. |
kaymart:Don't be bitter towards the wealthy. Why are you probing who he helps or not? Who made you the police of the dead? You went to school with the same expectations to make money and live a comfortable life (which sadly your ilks refer to as "vanity" . You could have done nothing and wait for your miserable death, then I will believe all these noise about "vanity". It is rude to tell people how they ought to spend their money.Respect the dead, be happy for people that have made it, so that people can do the same to you, if wealth ever smiles your way. How will you or your family feel if you are subjected to the same treatment you are giving the dead. Be guided please. |
Hello MC Oluomo |
Zenithpeak:Intense beam light needs to be focused on the process of acquisition of the cars, and why the Governor was buying cars for individuals not representing Oyo State in any official capacity. It is really sad that our common wealth - wealth that is meant for both you and I - are being recklessly spent by those saddled with governance. They throw their weights around like emperors and they feel they can get away with anything and everything. We really have a long way to go as a nation. |
Bigredmachine:Dont you know it is NOT constitutionally allowed for an official to use his personal money to bankroll a government. Besides, you seem to have an exaggerated view about Makinde's financial. I laugh when some people say he can pay Oyo State monthly allocation for months. Indeed. Ignorance is truly a sickness. The truth is Makinde has run Oyo State aground with frivolous loans, yet the people keep praising him; this is because most people cannot figure out how a loan being taken by Governor affects their livelihood. Sadly, it really does!. |
chris51:Well her statement was ambiguous. She should have made that clarity. I hope you are correct because anything is possible from a govt that wants to forcibly loan money from a dormant account for 13 years |
Why will a Nigerian pays for Visa on Arrival ? or was I reading it wrongly? |

keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better.
