helpee: We all know this but are you saying the pastor should be getting updates from angels in heaven? What is the essence of a soul saved that was not watered. salvation is not a days job. if you win a soul, the soul will be lost if it is not nurtured. That is why they are pastors not evangelist. A pastor means a shepherd that daily feeds the sheep. So where is the sheep? They are in heaven according to you so is it not better to allow the angels to keep feeding the sheep while the pastor is sacked. so if you employ fulani herdsmen without cows, you won't sack them because the cows are in sabo ? A pastor without a sheep has lost his job already...oyedepo only confirmed it by sacking him. We are too holy in this country. A pastor can't be sacked for having no congregation to pastor...so why is he a pastor? Abeg "A pastor without a sheep has lost his job already.." Can I have a Bible reference for this? Why did you discount the fact that when a pastor preaches and God wins a soul through him, it is NOT compulsory for that soul to worship in that church?; He could go away and worship somewhere else. While at that, point me to a reference in the bible where God commands us to be doing growth index by number of worshippers in church. When we talk of politics, we talk of constitution, when we talk of God, we should talk about the bible, not your own assumption. |

helpee: Church growth is measured by empty seat. Since the pastor is so passionate about God, why is he collecting salary from the church with empty seats? He shouldnt be collecting salary now. He doesn't even need oyedepo. Now that they sacked him....since empty churches means church growth, he should just continue to pastor those empty seats without oyedepo now. Oyedepo sacked you..God that you are working for didn't sack you,. why not continue. You didn't even think for once that the pastor is crying fowl because he lost the salary ....is he doing it for God or for salary? I don't know the pastor. I am only pointing out the deceit in church and how you guys have upended the word of God. A soul that gives his life to Christ has no meaning to you again because it's all about the money. You will rather have a church filled with unbelievers. I repeat, there is so much celebrations among Angels in heaven over just ONE soul that gives his life to Christ. |

Komu1048: If he had been coming up with big tithes and offering but didn't grow in population will he be sacked?
Yes, Oyedepo don't play with evangelism, even till now he still engage with it vigorously n that's what make heaven rejoys, that's why God kept blessing him. All he does is chase Gods kingdom advancement. So why will his pastor not win soul, there is no explanation for that Men don't win soul, it is God that does that. Your own is to preach and leave. When is church growth measured by crowd. Even angels rejoice in heaven over just ONE soul that gives his life to christ on earth. |

I lost interest and respect for most of the Nigeria pastors, especially David Oyedepo. Check all his antics in the past, he is so arrogant, and he behaves as if he is above the law.
One thing that constantly surprises me is that, once a father becomes the head of the church in Nigeria, God must call his children and wife by default. Go and check where all their children are pastoring, if not a very well established church in a posh zone in Nigeria, it will be in the western world like the US, UK.
Oyedepo should put his son Muyiwa Oyedepo, who he has positioned to take over his church after his demise, in any of these church branches where these pastors were sacked and let us see the magic he will use to pull crowd. So much for God of men parading as men of God. |

SlayerForever: That is to say if Britain demands that Nnamdi Kanu be released to them Nigeria can baulk and nothing will happen? Because Nigeria in the past under Obasanjo and Buhari has handled Britain before.
Is that what you're saying? I repeat, there is nothing Britain can do, and they wont even stick out their neck for someone like Kanu. He is a naturalised citizen in UK and a Nigerian by birth. Nigeria even has more claim over Kanu than Britain. Nigeria has more leverage over UK than UK has over Nigeria. Lot of UK companies are operating in Nigeria, how many Nigeria companies can you find in the UK. UK wont do anything unreasonable over Kanu, he is a goner. Kanu should even be afraid not to be stripped of his UK citizenship if a case of terrorism is established against him |

SlayerForever: Britain cannot overrun Nigeria but there are several mechanisms to coerce Nigeria with. A country is only as stubborn as it can handle. As for the nationalization argument you're comparing apples and oranges. I am sorry, your argument is sounding incoherent and illogical. Tell me one way, just one way Britain will "coerce" Nigeria to submission. Then, you said nationalization argument is like comparing apples and oranges. With all due respect that sounds meaningless. Do you understand what nationalisation is at all. Try and google it and when you get a good handle on it, revert please. |

SlayerForever: The only thing that can nail Kanu decisively is if Britain look away. Britain would look away if it was not Kanu. Unfortunately the Kanu has attracted world attention. Britain can no longer look away. If they risk it the backlash and codemnation will be too heavy on the international scene.
This is why the case seems to have stalled since their triumphant announcement of arresting him. This is annoying. You kept on mentioning Britain as if she will overrun Nigeria. Kanu is a Nigerian by birth as well as British by naturalization. Maybe you are not aware that Obasanjo government had "nationalised" British business interests in Nigeria and nothing happened. Go check the meaning of nationalisation because I won't explain that here. Do you even know that Buhari military govt had seized British airways plane in Nigeria when the UK govt seized Nigeria Airways plane, and nothing happened. Nigeria is such a strategic country that no country will want to mess about. British has a lot to lose than Nigeria and they won't do anything unreasonable over someone they can just strip of their citizenship. |

Kokaine: lawyers are very brilliant people. I bought some law books in 2018 just to gain mastery and command of English like lawyers, but I've not been able to read them. They are in my shelf. Every time I read one page from the first book, I suddenly wake up from a deep sleep. Then I wonder how lawyers graduated reading books with no single calculation, no formula, no block diagrams, and yet they still retain the contents if these books in their memory and call them whenever the need arises. I like lawyers but I wouldn't marry one. Reading law books won't make you gain mastery of English. There are lawyers that are terrible at speaking or writing English. You will simply learn how to be logical and how to evaluate cases using different lenses. Lawyers don't commit anything to memories, just like any profession. They simply reference materials relating to their cases before the court appearance, and simply refer to them in court. |

EzegeNdiigbo: Let’s start with what the value of $1000 is in the United States. Is $1K valuable or valueless in the US?
Do you know that in the US, some average people’s monthly rent is over $1000? We haven’t included taxes and other monthly fees. Now in Nigeria, apart from few places in Lagos and Abuja, I don’t think there is a place in Nigeria where monthly rent is above $100 for a bedroom apartment. So you see, with 50M naira annual income, you’re a million in Nigeria, but a poor or rather, an average man in the US, UK, and Canada.
DO YOU AGREE? A Man Who Earns 50M Naira Annually In Nigeria Is Considered Poor In UK, US & Canada? Let’s hear from you.
That's an argument between me and my tight paddy!!!
Drop your comment below. You need to rephrase the topic. I understand what you wanted to say but the title is obviously saying otherwise. The title is saying "A person living in Nigeria and earning 50M is being viewed as a poor man from abroad". Meanwhile that was not your intention. |

Lot of Nurses in Nigeria have been getting such visa these days. I am not in a position to say if it is a step up or step down for you. However, you are a professional, if the visa will permit you to switch to proper nursing later, I think it will be fine, otherwise, you may be frustrated doing a lower cadre job. Try to learn about it if it leads to citizenship as well and evaluate all the hidden conditions attached. My 2 cents |
