Stop being mischievous. Politifact checked the correctness of any statement a politician make. They categorised Trump's statement that Obama depleted the national stockpile as MOSTLY FALSE and yet you chose to disregard that, even with the truth staring you in the face.

They agreed the masks left in the stockpile was inadequate as Obama distributed them during virus outbreak during his tenure but the national stockpile was not depleted as Trump exaggerated. They gave a ruling of Mostly false as to what Trump said. Don't colour the truth, don't twist it, it is never a nice thing to do.

So how did that corroborate your earlier statement that Trump met depleted national stockpile? And what has Trump done in 3 years plus to replenish the inadequate items in the National Stockpile?

Also, nobody goes into national stockpile unless there is an epidemic or pandemic, so Trump admin would not have just literally gone there. There are what we call emergency protocols that when certain things are used, they are replenished by the user because people only go there when the need arises and it was empty.

I don’t blame him. He has to put American citizens first. All those millions of people who have become unemployed have to be attended to. Imagine you’re a citizen of America, you’ll want your president to put you first. It might be unfair to potential immigrants but it is what it is. At least everyone arrived earth with a country. I remember around mid last year wen I first heard this news, my whole family was in panic. Then in February this year when they left(just my parents. My aunts, uncle and cousins left in November) all the airport officials were shocked as to how they are migrating at this time. I had to settle extra at almost every point cos all we kept hearing was 'this Visa na gold, how una take do am?' Infact the very week they travelled was the same week Trump banned some countries including Nigeria from immigration. That is still the biggest miracle I've seen in years.

Due to the fact that Akinjide was a Yoruba man , I, myself shared the sentiment for a long time, (as largely believed by majority of Yorubas) that Akinjide betrayed Awolowo and Yoruba people due to his 12 2/3 argument in court which majority of the Supreme Court Justices agreed with, bar Justice Kayode Esho, to dismiss Awolowo's case against Shehu Shagari.

However, come to look at it, Akinjide was in the opposition party (NPN) and a lead counsel to Shagari, who was also in NPN. Awolowo was in UPN party. A whole tribe can't be in the same party. Akinjide simply fought brilliantly for the interest of the party he belonged to and won the case for his client in that landmark judgement. You wouldn't expect him to argue in support of Awolowo's argument during the trial. He should be saluted for his brilliant legal mind in the case. This was never a case of betrayal. Winning a case for your client can never be regarded as a betrayal. Till his death, he was regarded as Akinjide "the mathematician" among his legal associates.

I'm not a politician and I don't hold brief for any party, but PDP wouldn't have done better. Long time lack of structure in Nigeria to figure out a robust system of disbursing palliatives in a non fraudulent way and wickedness of our politicians are genuine and real.

FG should rebuff this plea to cancel all outstanding state's debts. Our governors are lazy, they only act as administrator over our Commonwealth. Anyone can do this, we need critical thinker to serve in that capacity, who can generate enough IGR for his state.

Listen to yourself. He declared free education almost one year ago, two terms had already passed and he is just doing recruitment of teachers. Which one should come first? What will compensate for a student that goes two terms without a teacher for a particular subject?. That shows lack of proper planning. Good intention is not sufficient to run a govt, proper actionable plans are.

I'm sorry but Makinde badly implemented free education architecture. The education is in total shambles; inadequate teachers for key subjects in many schools, even the free textbooks didn't go round.
