Buhari remains the best president we have ever had by all standards. As human, he has his shortcomings but no one could deny he meant well for the nation; using small resources to achieve visible infrastructural developments, building institutions to checkmate looting, bringing corrupt politicians and judges to justice, jailing three former governors from his own party, repositioning Nigeria strategically in relation to our neighbouring countries. The list is endless. If you mean well for this country, you will support his effort and cheer him on |
By all standards, this was NOT royal. |
quaintbloke:Though I agree that the UK will now have a clear direction , yet the govt is not sure the extent of uncertainties lying in wait. It's looking like a ding ding affair. It can easily sink the UK or UK can float. We will soon see what will happen. |
grandstar:The pounds actually rise so strongly against dollars and euro. I lack words to describe why that was so. |
This is an interesting, historic development. Tories win majority but this leads to another serious problem; the future of UK is threatened. Eyes will be on Scotland because there will be some political movements . I see Scotland seeking to determine their own independence which will lead to dissolution of the union. |
I guess this should start from the Governor. He should be more transparent. How much did he procure the police car his govt bought for police. What will he use the loans he took on behalf of the state for ?. How much does each project cost ?. We should be demanding for transparency and accountability from our leaders, as citizens irrespective of political affiliation. Our leaders appear as saints when delivering speeches but are real devil incarnates when they are away from the public eyes. |
This incident reminds me of an event in my church. Last year, during Dec. 31 pass over night, we had to submit ourselves to a police officer armed with AK 47 to frisk us before we could be allowed to enter the church. I just shook my head, and said within me, so "holy spirit can not guarantee our safety, even in the church". The pastor no wan die from bomb blast. |
1nigeriamyfoot:You are biased in your analysis. It is an open secret that both major parties always rig elections. It's a culture of impunity which has been allowed to fester and should be condemned by all. Are you telling me PDP folded their arms, innocently watching APC as they were rigging. Let's be very sincere here pls. |
Breaking News: Arsenal has sacked Unai Emery. Freddie Ljunberg to serve as acting manager. |
ASUU or whatever they call themselves are greedy lot. The money they embezzle in the University alone is mind boggling. When you see "Nigerians" fighting tooth and nails over a course, most times, there are corruption lurking somewhere. Enrol on IPPIS and stop whipping up unnecessary public sentiments. |
Esseite:Bsc is NOT a meal ticket anywhere in the world. It is only the VALUE you get while learning that will give u the meal ticket. Companies dont pay for "paper" certificate, they pay for the service (value) which you are capable of offering. Or you tell me when you started your primary school, did you sign a contract that after finishing the govt MUST provide a job for you?. Your value will open the world to you, focus on it. |
ade101:If what you stated here was right and you were in that meeting, I expect you to take exception to his speech. That was too stereotypic. What he said was an insult to all of you present there. In a way, he has tagged u all as "criminals" and I could bet that, majority if not all the people there, would be shining their teeth and applauding him. You dont come open to "criminalise" a whole nation in the full glare of her citizen as a diplomat, even if you have your fact. Not every thing a white man says makes sense. You even call him "funny" and "jovia". Sad |
Centcanada:So Saraki is your role model when it comes to "truth" ?. I laugh..... |
PoliteActivist:Even if you are NOT caught, it doesn't pay, Mr. PoliteActivist; you cannot make someone cry somewhere and you expect your generation unborn and you to smile through a lifetime. Karma is a bitch and every actions in this life has consequences. Stop promoting fraud please. |
I'm sorry but I think you are still withholding some information here. According to you, you submitted 2 accounts - your saving and your personal account, and you claimed you are a signatory to an estate account. With this, I couldn't see any reason why the estate account should be an issue, if you are being very sincere. The account is external to your account and there was no reason why there should be constant flow from the estate account to any of your account unless you wanted to get Visa by deception. The story does not add up, I feel you are withholding information from us. |
Donald95:Most people blindly toe party lines. I'm not a politician and do not belong to any political party. I have a balanced view and I'm telling it the way I see it. |
Oyo is all noise, no tangible movement. The PR machines are papering over the cracks. Oyo is poorer due to incessant loans which the Governor failed to clearly define what they are meant for. The much-touted free education is a sham - good intention, bad implementation. He seems not to have got a good handle on governance. This doesn't mean that APC candidate would have done better - he could have been worse. |

wink2015:With no apology, you are a thief with extreme shady life. You broke sweats to write unintelligent piece in defense of a crime. You should be ashamed. Nigeria does not need big men with shady business colouration, we need honest individuals that can dominate our economic landscape. You are poor today because of the action of some fraudulent individuals who have sucked the country dry and deny you opportunities that should be readily available to you. You want your country to be like the US, UK, Canada of this world but you want to continue with your silly ideologies. Please, stop defending evil and condemn crimes irrespective of tribes or religion. |
Behind almost 90% "wealthy" Nigerian men and women, there is always a serious crime. It is so depressing that this has matured to be a culture. Sad. |
DMerciful:You are very naive. You don't judge a book by its cover and still water runs very deep. |
How can i forget the sweetness of their golden voice. This is what we call EVERGREEN songs. RIP to Taiwo Lijadu! |
Thegoodone13:Sadly, you ended up sounding stupid. When stupid people lack robust response to a fact, they resolve to an abuse. Your stupidity is legendary. |
Thegoodone13:Dont be stupid (that's not an abuse, just telling you not to deviate towards stupidity). "First Lady" is alien to our constitution. From the president to the Governor, no public fund should be allocated to the "office of first lady" to start with. There are so many rots in the system you wonder where to start. Makinde goofed and acted with impunity because he realised that his actions and inaction will go unchallenged. God bless Gani Fawehinmi of blessed memory, this is the kind of case he will test the laws against. |
It's quite disgusting the way some people reason. The people truly deserve the leaders they have. This is condemnable. It is against ethics and morals. The immediate past governor did the same, SACA has become an easy conduit for them to steal international grants meant for the state. Why his wife?. Some people are saying if she's qualified, why not. I really shake my head in disgust. No wonder Governors in Nigeria feel they have absolute power to ride rough shod on the citizens who they are meant to govern and protect. This should be condemned by everyone with good conscience. |
I cant get to see the SPECIFICS of his much touted ACHIEVEMENTS from what the OP typed. Can you please let's get into the SPECIFICS of what he has ACTUALLY (not what he INTENDS to do) achieved in Oyo State without being rude. |
With all the crass display of being religious, they were still beaten. Always huddling up to the middle of the pitch at half time instead of running to take instruction from their silly coach. Netherlands just proved it's not by prayer alone. |
Deservedly out. No technical sense for the players, the coach is very wacky. Waste of taxpayers money to send the lads to the world cup. |
9ce eternally and negatively seal his legacy in music with that song living things. I can bet he will live to regret ever dishing out that song in his lifetime. |
Don't let your life be controlled by just a number. There is nothing that surpass fulfilment in this world. You could have loads of money and still die unfulfilled. That's just an incredible mystery of life |
Meeting her for doing what exactly?? ![]() |
Nigeria so blunt in the face of goal. Shooting everwhere except goal post. Keeper as good as not having one. Coach, so usel........ |
