Buhari remains the best president we have ever had by all standards. As human, he has his shortcomings but no one could deny he meant well for the nation; using small resources to achieve visible infrastructural developments, building institutions to checkmate looting, bringing corrupt politicians and judges to justice, jailing three former governors from his own party, repositioning Nigeria strategically in relation to our neighbouring countries. The list is endless. If you mean well for this country, you will support his effort and cheer him on

Forex responds to stable economies and government. Pre-election, the uncertainty of Brexit drove the pound to its lowest level in years but as exit polls began to show a strong majority, pound surged to very strong levels.
Investors are confident that Brexit would get done and the government will now have a clear direction. This is what investors want to see, a stable economy.

Though I agree that the UK will now have a clear direction , yet the govt is not sure the extent of uncertainties lying in wait. It's looking like a ding ding affair. It can easily sink the UK or UK can float. We will soon see what will happen.

This is an interesting, historic development. Tories win majority but this leads to another serious problem; the future of UK is threatened. Eyes will be on Scotland because there will be some political movements . I see Scotland seeking to determine their own independence which will lead to dissolution of the union.

I guess this should start from the Governor. He should be more transparent. How much did he procure the police car his govt bought for police. What will he use the loans he took on behalf of the state for ?. How much does each project cost ?. We should be demanding for transparency and accountability from our leaders, as citizens irrespective of political affiliation. Our leaders appear as saints when delivering speeches but are real devil incarnates when they are away from the public eyes.

This incident reminds me of an event in my church. Last year, during Dec. 31 pass over night, we had to submit ourselves to a police officer armed with AK 47 to frisk us before we could be allowed to enter the church. I just shook my head, and said within me, so "holy spirit can not guarantee our safety, even in the church". The pastor no wan die from bomb blast.

Bsc is NOT a meal ticket anywhere in the world. It is only the VALUE you get while learning that will give u the meal ticket. Companies dont pay for "paper" certificate, they pay for the service (value) which you are capable of offering. Or you tell me when you started your primary school, did you sign a contract that after finishing the govt MUST provide a job for you?. Your value will open the world to you, focus on it.

Canada visa officers are very detailed and careful. They don't make claims without evidence. I once attended a conference where the Canadian high commission happens to give a speach about visa application. He is a very funny and jovial man contrary to what we all expected to see, cos we wanted to see a sad, mean monster that take pleasure in destroying dreams.

The man was very friendly and he let us understood that being a consular, you need to major or minor in psychology and Nigeria being a very unique case, they needed to add staff that major in criminology. So he warned that they can detect crime even if it's due to ommision.

If what you stated here was right and you were in that meeting, I expect you to take exception to his speech. That was too stereotypic. What he said was an insult to all of you present there. In a way, he has tagged u all as "criminals" and I could bet that, majority if not all the people there, would be shining their teeth and applauding him. You dont come open to "criminalise" a whole nation in the full glare of her citizen as a diplomat, even if you have your fact. Not every thing a white man says makes sense. I'm sorry but I think you are still withholding some information here. According to you, you submitted 2 accounts - your saving and your personal account, and you claimed you are a signatory to an estate account. With this, I couldn't see any reason why the estate account should be an issue, if you are being very sincere. The account is external to your account and there was no reason why there should be constant flow from the estate account to any of your account unless you wanted to get Visa by deception. The story does not add up, I feel you are withholding information from us.

Most people blindly toe party lines. I'm not a politician and do not belong to any political party. I have a balanced view and I'm telling it the way I see it.

Oyo is all noise, no tangible movement. The PR machines are papering over the cracks. Oyo is poorer due to incessant loans which the Governor failed to clearly define what they are meant for. The much-touted free education is a sham - good intention, bad implementation. He seems not to have got a good handle on governance. This doesn't mean that APC candidate would have done better - he could have been worse.
