okewumi:In a saner clime, paying salaries and pensioners is not counted as achievement. It is statutory. |
Perfecttouch:And so he can't be killed too, right?.Go and check the history of strong men and the way most left this world; you will be shocked. |
While you are blaming the president, reserve the larger blame for the supposedly "health practitioners and made-in-Nigeria scientists" who advised Mr President to extend due to their own greediness. Trust me, these advisers are making millions out of this self made pandemics. COvid-19 exists but it has been exaggerated in Nigeria to enrich some individuals. I am sure if greed of our professionals and politicians does not kill Nigeria, nothing can. |
nickyvil:There is a fundamental decay with Nigeria. No system or structure in place to disburse the palliatives even if the government is sincere (which they will never be) to disburse them. Data in Nigeria is cooked to advance political aspirations, sadly after this stuff passes, we will behave as if everything is okay, instead of addressing this major issue. So sad! |
Covid-19 has really exposed religions in Africa, especially in Nigeria. I'm not saying there is no God but most of these pastors are simply con artists, always manipulating the Bible to suit their greedy nature. We ought to be looking at them for spiritual solution to this pandemic, yet they are in turn looking at the scientists, waiting for vaccines - same scientists they mostly call Atheists. If you don't reevaluate your view of these pastors and imams after this pandemic, then nothing can ever make you to again. |
wapSmart:@op look at this part of your code: p.MdiParent = this; nb.MdiParent = this; vb.MdiParent = this; What are you expecting "this" which represents the Main class to return. I suspect that is where the issue lies. I cannot see the full code as you only showed the partial class of main. Set breakpoints at those 3 points and run your code in debug mode. Then read what the "this" is spitting out, if it is null, then that might be the problem. @supremotm I will look at how you can subscribe to the group. Meanwhile I am not an expert o, just a student trying to learn too. |
justli:I beg to differ. Trump didnt end the war in the middle east, he rather inflamed it. Middle east is sitting on a keg of gun powder with his interventions in Iran. His policies rollback in the middle east even put the US at odds with her allies. He even abandoned US allies on the battlefield and opened them up to be slaughtered by Turkish troops. Trump made US to be an unreliable ally in war. North Korea's tension is not calm. Infact, Kim tested missiles during this pandemic; North Korea has no respect for the US and they are just dilly dallying to wait till November and see the outcome of the election, inorder to see who he will negotiate with. Yes, he revamped US economy to his credit but the manner at which that was done was bad. He kept on pushing for trade protectionism, America is losing its leadership position under Trump. Sadly for him, the only thing to point to was destroyed by Coronavirus. So, it will be too close to call. Trust me, it will be... |
Goldmaxx:Trump was highly underrated in 2016, this would be different. This election will be difficult to call. Most republicans just tolerate Trump because he is erratic and they try to dodge the flaks from him. He has set America back many years, he is a pathological liar and racist. It is dangerous for the world to have such a man at the helm of affairs in the US. The easy target for him now is WHO, he wont accept his own failure but rather choose to blame others. I am not saying Biden will win but Trump knows he has got a battle. Even, immediately Sanders called him the MOST DANGEROUS PRESIDENT in the history of the US, Trump quickly tweeted to Sander for his support. He knows he is in for a fight.... |
Bernie Sanders just called Trump the MOST DANGEROUS PRESIDENT in the history of the US. He has promised to continue working to defeat Trump. Trump has got a battle in his hands. I hope he loses...I really do. Why Africans will be supporting Trump is beyond me. |
@Op, we can neither see your code nor understand the logic you are trying to implement, we can only guide you. Run your code in debug mode, set breakpoints and check for null values. That will resolve the issue you are having. |
SUPREMOTM:Oh yes you are right. I missed the "reference" word cos I was typing on the move. You did a good job by actually implementing it. |
Thenaijaitguy:I'm just trying to help too. We are not actually saying the same thing if you look at it carefully. What we are saying is different. Your scenario can't throw up null exception. Look at it carefully. How a class can hold a table is beyond me. In a code first approach, a class doesn't hold the table. The dbcontext in an ef will create and manipulate the table stated inside the class. I only tried to explain the ONLY valid way nullexception can be thrown. Do a bit of research on it and you will agree with me. We are all here to learn. |
Thenaijaitguy:This can never throw up such an error. There is just ONE way this can happen. One, either you don't properly initialise an object. Like I stated above, if you have this kind of class: Public car { Public void move () { // Write your code for move method } } // End of class You now initialise the object like: Car ferari {get; set;} Ferari is now an object of the class. If you now do this: Ferari.Move() //this will throw nullexception error because ferari is not properly initialised, which means it is holding null value. Another way is if you assign the class properly but what you assign the object to is returning null value e.g Car ferari = processsomething(); If processsomething() method return null value and you still try to do this: Ferari.move(); //it will throw nullexception. Generally, you can not access the property or method of an object holding a null value ,it will throw up nullexception error. The op should runhis code in a debugger and check for null. Always try and check for null before you carry out an operation on an object, it will save a lot of headache. Sorry for any error, i wrote this on the move |
I assumed you are using C#. What that means is you didn't instantiate the object. For instance , let's say you have a class named Car. If you only create the object this way: Car Ferrari {get; set} . This will create object Ferrari but nullreferenceexception error will be thrown because you haven't assigned a value to the object. You can assign a value to your object through the constructor of your class and the error will disappear. If you need further help, ask. *Click that tiny arrow beside the exception and let's see what you have got in there. Munch the screen and post it* |
They became EX-CONVICTS due to being plain dumb and silly. Sad!. She ought to guide her brand carefully, the husband is a numbskull, he single highhandedly ruined Funke Akindele's brand. This goes beyond 100k, it was almost a lifetime destroyed. |
I hope people realise the heavy implication of this case; either Funke and the husband pay the 100k or sentenced to one month imprisonment, both of them will automatically become ex-convicts. The implications are so severe and damning caused by their own stupidity. |
If you have Visual studio 2019 running successfully on your system, drop your number and indicate you have it running on your system, then i can add you to the group. I will ONLY add people with VS 2019 running on their system because it shows their levels of readiness. Thanks |
zabuur:Thank you. I detest Ajimobi with a passion but this current governor is poor in administration but effective in social media hype. I was shocked to see Taye currency billboards as SA on culture and tourism littering the roads in Oyo State. And he appointed his very own wife (the governor's wife) to head SACA. I give up on him already. Sadly people outside Oyo State won't know this. |
Chicagoesontop:I stopped reading your comment when you said you haven't seen anyone killed by hunger. Many in Nigeria, very many. Go around town and you will see. |
Majid1990:...and you will be tried for murder. |
THUNDER4real:Is it right for a soldier to mete out any kind of punishment to civillians irrespective of his crimes?. Why not hand them to the police for prosecution in court? . Even in a war zone, there are rules of engagement. Making soldier feels he can do as he likes will eventually turn him to a monster. |
For those that will be interested, please you can use this link to download visual studio 2019 (community edition). It is FREE: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/ |
bonnyhope:Because they know the citizens are docile. |
Makinde should lead by example and self isolate at Olodo, a self isolation centre provided for the Oyo State citizens. Why is the former CMD heading the task force, what about the deputy? |
God rests your soul. You impacted my life and I just bought a few copies of your books from a bookshop a few weeks ago. I still don't understand why textbooks like brighter grammar and NOEC will be expunged from Nigeria list of books only to be replaced with some Mickey mouse textbooks. |
Many people will believe more in science than religion. Many people will question their Faiths. Many will see science as more solution provider than our noise maker pastors, imams, Hindu, herbalist etc. The aforementioned people will be more humbled. |
The W.H.O advised every nation to test, test and test their citizens for coronavirus. Having listened to the state governor's speeches and the president's speech, nothing was really said about this. They were all quick to close their respective state's borders without any palliatives for the citizens. I feel they all want to appear to us like they are working without any coordination. I could be wrong but what is your take on this? |
Niggmatic:Thank you. I love the statement that "it is to their advantage that world is using dollar as a world reserve". I found your submission helpful and conclusive. I learnt a lot from this thread. @Excuzeme, thanks too. |
Niggmatic:Thanks for your comment but should the US print a dollar note at all without the necessary approval. Yes they create wealth but still create artificial wealth by printing money. I'm not an economist but this doesn't make sense to me. |
Niggmatic:You don't get my question. I know if Nigeria prints more money, it will lead to an inflation. That's settled. I'm trying to understand the principle behind US printing more money to bail themselves out. Is it legal? Do all the global financial institution approves of it? Why does US accuse China of manipulating currency whereas they print theirs as they wish?. I don't want to just accept that it's because dollar is the world's reserved currency. What that means is if I work hard in Germany to build a car and I export it to the US, the US can just print money to settle me. Does that make sense? Will the world at large approve that? What I'm asking is deeper than the topic of this thread. |
