oglalasioux: Thanks for your mention. First he knew the working conditions in the firm. Why didn't he protest or rally others together to fight for their collective right? No. He waited until it came to him.
Second he erred by giving himself permission.
Thirdly he begged the man which means he understood his error. That's an indictment against himself.
You'll be surprised to see how Nigerians tremble before these people. If we don't like what foreigners do to us then let's collectively boycott them by forming strong unions. They can't possibly pluck workers from nowhere.
It's shameful that the OP has to wait for a slap before doing anything. We gave the foreigners the free hand. He is sure to lose the case if there is no physical bruise. And I doubt any Nigerian will put his job on the line to be a witness for him in court. Exactly. What if the Lebanese say he did not slap the Nigerian and there's no video to show he did. For sure none of the other Nigerian workers especially the gateman that must have seen everything would be willing to testify against the Lebanese. Our guy is fighting a lost battle. |

Clone2020: I won't condone what the man did but when you are angry, you an aren't thinking, one fatal punch to her head might have killed her. To cheat on your spouse, is the greatest betrayal on the face of the earth. But it is not considered a big deal when men do it. He should have just divorced the wife instead of beating her to death. He should know that the woman has parents, siblings and friends. They still want her even if he doesn't. I am not in anyway supporting infidelity. |

ndcide: They bring in dollars and earn naira. Are they going to spend the naira? Does not add up. God bless you. It doesn't even make sence. How would they bring the almighty dollars from their countries to come and exchange for our weak Naira. After collecting the Naira, what will they do with it? Will they now take the Naira back to their countries? What is happening is that the BDCS and some saboteurs want to force Government and CBN to reverse the policy of not selling the Dollars to them. They want to push the exchange rate at the parallel market so high till it becomes an embarrassment. They are already running short of Dollars to keep the rate up so they are inviting their BDC friends from neighboring countries to help them embarrass the Government. |

olisaEze: I once locked my self out of my car on d street late one Friday nite. I called friends dt gave me phone nmbrs of 2panel-beaters, but non agreed 2come inspite of all my monetary promises, one told me he was drunk, the other said it was too late 4his wife 2let him leave d house. In desperation I called my mechanic, who rushed down. He ended up destroying my door handle, but still ddnt open d door. A friend finally came with a wire clothe hanger, and with a considerable crowd of onlookers, I managed 2open d door but d key was no where in d car. It had been in my back pocket throughout. I will not employ someone like you to work in my company even if you offer to work without payment. |

Excellentmind: This is a false claim and attempt to make himself relevant in the scheme of things in Nigeria today. General elections in 2015, where apc lost its total grip of national and state assembly members like never before in Lagos State, is what Tinubu claims be a success. The reason for that is because they focused more on unseating GEJ. I can assure you that all those usurppers that are representing Lagos state at the National Assembly will be thrown out in 2019. |

Tats: My car will not lock if the key is inside the car or boot. It has happened twice. As for the boot, it will pop back open when I try to lock it if the key is inside like in a work bag in the boot. If it's inside the car, the door will not lock. That is the type of car I have and I feel all cars should be made like that. |

castroevans: Happened to me twice, had no time to take my car to the car wash so I decided to do it myself. After washing the car I forgot my key inside, don't know what happened my car locked automatically I called a friend of mine who apparently was pretty good at it cus he fell victim to such on daily basis... Now here is what I learnt to avoid bin stuck but at your risk. I removed my plate number and hid the spare key behind it, used the bolt to tighten it. Whenever such happen u know what's next... Very risky. Especially now that you have broadcast it on Nairaland. That is the first place car thieves will now search. We have to remember that thieves/armed robbers are not exactly illiterates. They also log on to the internet to read and update.their craft. |

ronald4lif: Courier companies don't accept cash items so that's not an option. I thought it can be cashed in dollars via WU? That way you can then change it at black market rate.
And you can still repay him via same WU or Moneygram. Though at exorbitant sending charges rates. Banks in Nigeria pay only in Naira for money sent from abroad in any currency. They have stopped paying in dollars since the time of GEJ. |
