Who says he did not invest the pittance he earned while he was working. People forget how much money people lost when the Stock market crashed. Some people actually committed suicide. A lot of people are still suffering from the crash as a whole lifetime investments and hope for the future has gone.I hear Lari Williams is a Lagos state indigene. If it is true, then I expect the Lagos state government to help him out. Akwa Ibom state would have helped any of its indigene with such plight.

He did not say when he was a lecturer....but if it was in the pre-2001 era....he won't have earned much. Lecturers were poorly paid back then.

Also....as someone has said upthread....actors of his era did not earn much.Even now...Nollywood is not a rich setup.

Before Obasanjo, a University Professor was earning N4,000 (Four Thousand Naira) per month. There was a lot of Brain drain then. Obasanjo stemmed the drain by initiating a very attractive University Salary Structure, which is reviewed regularly. This is why lecturing in a Federal Nigerian university is now lucrative.

Sure, there might be a bundle of rattle snakes living under the hood but if your car or truck’s engine makes a hissing sound it could also be an indication of a leak, either in the cooling system or a vacuum line. If it’s the former overheating is a concern, the latter, drivability and fuel-economy issues could result. A trip to the mechanic is in order.

What about the hissing of a newly installed fan belt. Mine has been hissing for quite a while and people say it will stop eventually but it is so embarrassing especially in the mornings while driving out of the compound.

He definitely bought the phone from those boys holding phones and showing passersby on the roads inside computer village. What those boys do is to allow you test and inspect the original phones they show you. When you are satisfied, they take you to where the phone box is and very smartly pack a fake phone for you. They will even put the box inside a designer carrier bag for you. You will discover you have been scammed when you get home.

See, it would have been a different story if the Police and Soldiers did not support and encourage the northerners. Yorubas are not cowards and weaklings especially in their own territory. The Yorubas were clearly helpless and already at a disadvantage because the law enforcement agents were helping the other side.

Even to enforce Okada law Ambode cannot. Majority of these so called northerners ( but actually immigrants from Niger republic) are in Nigeria to ride Okada. If Lagos state can be bold to curb the menace of this Okada riders, it will go a long way to ensuring peace and order to the state.

The hausa fulani population in lagos is increasing on daily basis and this calls for a great concerns. There is hardly any day without seeing trailers loaded with hundreds of this people migrating to lagos. The first thing is what is their mission in lagos. You need to get to agege and oshodi to confirm this. I think there should be security check on this miscreants called hausa fulani. Their mission is evil and poses threath to lagosians. They are easily provoked and before you say anything slaughtering starts.

Their greatest attraction to Lagos is Okada business. Most of these immigrants are actually from Niger republic. What baffles me is that Ambode government is very reluctant to enforce Okada law I.e. the routes they are supposed to ply. If they are not supposed to be on dual carriage ways, then what were they doing on mile 12 road. Go to second rainbow bus stop along Apapa Oshodi express and see these immigrants on okada misbehaving. I seriously believe this present Lagos state government is thinking more of second term than the peace of the state.
