Hear yourself, but you vote to one direction and ask for equality. Even if Apc fields a South easterner against Atiku, South East would still vote Pdp, so they should ask Atiku for Appointments.
As far as Easterners are Nigerians, they deserve equal representation and appointments as provided by law. Electoral choices are personal and guaranteed by the Constitution. Public offices are not meant to be rewards for good behavior rather for equitable representation and development!
PoliticsRe: Igbos Voted Atiku, Why Demand SFG From Buhari? - Northern Group Mocks Ohanaeze by mushystuff:
Is Buhari the president of only those that voted him or of ALL Nigerians? Is he bound by the constitution as far as federal character is concerned in all government appointments? What is the point of a contest if the electorate must vote only one candidate or be punished for making electoral choices? Did other persons not vote Atiku even in the North? Why the special and deliberate singling out of a tribe if not just sheer stupidity and hypocrisy?

Don't say or even think that! You do not know the situations some people face including infertility and late marriages. There are some who need to apply some control, true, but don't generalise.

The point is that there shouldn't even be stories of government indebtedness and there should also be social programs and interventions for children of school age as is obtained in decent, developed societies. Your blames n insults should go to Nigeria and its nationwide bad governance not citizens who are on the receiving end as hapless victims. How about pensioners that have died due to illness and absence of funds to treat in addition to poor healthcare facilities?

When a government refuses to beef up security around its borders, people will continue to take advantage of their porous borders; it is a source of income for them. That includes the northern borders through which murderers called fulani herdsmen with their kith and kin flood this country and cause mayhem. Some of them even possess our national ID cards and voters cards while some legitimate Southern citizens are unable to get theirs.
That is why during election you will be seeing marvelous numbers for the north when Niger governors even came to campaign with Buhari. What is being done to open up our sea ports and make the existing one more efficient?

Why do you think stickied a thread that Nairaland says no to cessation?
What effort is being made to address the cause of the tensions? Forceful suppression will only lead to an explosion. Saying no to secession, does that address the why of the desire for such? How do you see a child crying out and you seal the mouth of the child without making an effort to resolve the cause of the tears and cries? Then someone amplifies the sound of the crying child and you suspend/shut down the amplifier and its owner? Where is the logic in that other than interests and greed considered more important than that of the crying child?

And what is so treasonous about these or other statements identified in the letter? These are statements from ordinary citizens that show the dissatisfaction and degeneration of life generally. People are unhappy, injustice is the order of the day! Rather than try to understand and address the root causes of such statements and reactions, the government chooses to muzzle and sut down anyone that ventilated such opinions so how on earth will citizens ever be heard? Will they ever speak up if the medium through which they can do so is shut down summarily with sanctions by the government that should have their welfare and safety as its primary mandate/concern?

Let's not talk about the economic implications of shutting down a giant like AIT because of political considerations by the government...

Really! In case you are suffering from amnesia, let me refresh your memory.
Jonathan shared Ecological Fund money to only PDP controlled states (plus one APGA and one LP which had surrendered themselves to his wish) leaving all the states controlled by the APC out. The "vengeful" Buhari gave bailout money to all the states of the federation despite cries from some APC members.
Abuja didn't vote for him and he reminded them, only the guilty ones wouldn't want to hear people reminding them of their actions
Guilty? When did it become a crime or offence to cast a vote in an election for a party other than the ruling party?

He's exercising his constitutional rights. When deeds are done, people are free to talk about it and that's exactly what my president just did. You don't like it, go hug the nearest transformer. Who cares?
The problem is that his every word, action and even thoughts leading to those words and actions impact directly on the lives, wellbeing and governance of all Nigerian citizens he presides over. If he says FCT residents are necessary evils which he must secure because he is in the FCT, that smacks of selfishness and close-mindedness unbecoming of a democratic leader. It can also be inferred that he will deliberately not make as much effort to secure other states that did not give APC/Buhari majority votes.
Is that what he swore to uphold in his oath of office? Selective treatment and governance?

Una dey support something sha!
PoliticsRe: Court Sacks Omar Tata, Orders INEC To Give Certificate To Jatau Muhammad Auwal by mushystuff: 7:19pm On Jun 04, 2019
Your problem is that you have failed to see that the petitioners or plaintiffs in these issues are usually fellow Party members. Rivers and Zamfara issues were between APC factions, PDP was never responsible for charging them to court. This analogy you have given has no basis in the issues and shows mere bias and lack of knowledge.

Once the courts determine that valid primaries were not conducted, the beneficiary would by law automatically be the party with the validly nominated candidates that scored the second highest votes because the defaulter ie APC in this case should never have even fielded any candidate for failing to hold primaries which is the only recognised means through which a candidate can validly emerge.

babaolofin:
You are a small boy who knows nothing about politics, Judiciary & Nigeria. The guy you replied should not bother to reply you.

If Agbakoba & Keyamo were to be from the same constituency but different parties. Let say Agbakoba is PDP and Keyamo is APC, irrespective of how Keyamo was nominated to represent APC in the contest, now, after much campaign for votes, majority of the voters now voted for Keyamo and Keyamo declared winner. Since Agbakoba has lost and cannot win the confidence of majority of the voters, he now went to another body called Judiciary to complain that he is not supposed to contest with Keyamo because he was wrongly nominated by his party. So, Judiciary now declared all votes for Keyamo wasted, thereby making Agbakoba the winner. Is that a Victory for Democracy or Rule of Law? Nigeria, I just laugh.

This reminds me of Fela song - Crazy Demo Democrazy..
PoliticsRe: Court Sacks Omar Tata, Orders INEC To Give Certificate To Jatau Muhammad Auwal by mushystuff: 7:11pm On Jun 04, 2019
There is something called retributive justice, read about it. The courts in these issues have only addressed the deliberate refusal of the party (APC) to comply with clear statutory provisions which it ought to have observed and respected before being qualified to float candidates at the various elections. The courts wil not allow any person or party to benefit from fraud and it is not the fault of the court and other parties that the APC held itself as qualified in the eyes of the electorate when it had in fact run afoul of the law.

babaolofin:
This posting is childish. The Judicary judgement is now more powerful than the wish of the majority of the people. The intelligence report of Dubai strategy of PDP scheming to use Judiciary to steal the mandate of popular votes of the people might be true.

In Bauchi, Dogara won under PDP while the APC in his constituency lost. It is the same system that produced Dogara's opponent that produced the man whom Judiciary declared his votes a waste. Those who voted for APC only wasted their time, energy & resources. They should have slept at home according to the Court.

One thing is clearer here, the PDP never defeated APC . In Zamfara and other States where PDP is declared winner without APC or with APC votes declared a wasted votes and peoples (APC voters) efforts for enduring stress at polling stations a waste of time, It can be seen that APC DOG or Donkey is stronger than PDP as a party in those places.

Don't be impossible, the appeal court sitting on the Ned Nwoko vs Nwaoboshi case held that the Federal High Court had no jurisdiction to hear or even give judgement on the case as they ruled in favor of Nwaoboshi.
Judiciary is really a mess.
The reason it the high court was deemed as lacking jurisdiction was because the matter was filed outside the statutory time of 14 days not because it had no power to hear the subject matter. It had become statute barred by reason of effluxion of time hence its loss of jurisdiction.

Mr Auwal had told the court that APC did not conduct any valid primary election through which Mr.Tata’s name was submitted to INEC as the flag-bearer for the party. The court order was made on May 16.

NonsoWow:
The judiciary has become lawless that is why I don't blame Buhari for disrespecting some of their judgements. Why should an FCT court make this illegal order far away from Bauchi when there is an election petition tribunal set up for these things? Should an FCT high court even dabble into any matter outside its jurisdiction(FCT) at all? The NJC should sit up. This lawlessness of the judiciary is getting out of control.
It is a pre-election matter; INEC, party to the suit is a federal body with its HQ in Abuja. The FCT high court has jurisdiction. These are basics you should study and know. Also understand that there is no excuse or justification for anyone including the president to wilfully flout or disregard court orders. If all citizens and agencies follow suit then you will understand that such behaviour which you endorse is a recipe for disaster.

Except so.but the judge said nothing about that. the petitioner before proving that there was automatic ticket must have prove that there was a primaries which he won but was cheated
Does the bold part make sense to you?
The petitioner's grouse was that there were no primaries to allow an even, playing field as required by law rather the APC candidate was issued an automatic ticket which is alien to law. This has been so proven and judgement as well as consequential orders have been declared by the court. How can the petitioner prove primaries when none was conducted? That is the crux of the matter/petition Mr Garfield1.

So Buhari is herdsmens terrorising Nigeria? And mind you if northern elders can come together and speak against violence in their domain you will not hear bandits or boko haram anymore. There's nothing Buhari can do since north don't want to join hands together and fight their common enemies.
Like I said, you cannot pick and choose. Don't keep throwing that simple line of 'So Buhari is the herdsmen...' and b.s like that. Those Northern elders you are trying to isolate are also in full support of Buhari because they know he's empty and so he's merely their figurehead master. The only way to neutralise their hold is by cutting off the rotten head ie Buhari. As u say he's different from them, watch and see how fully in support of these expanding madness Buhari a d his northern elders are.
